Parrish: [the day is done and we finally won so we sound our victory cheer... and the hellhound is going to just come home exhausted because hi, fighting with beast who HIT HIM WITH A CAR. And he's sore and mostly naked and really, really needs a nice long hot shower. Which is where he is going to go to]

Laura: [which is fine because she's taking another poorly timed pregnancy nap, curled up in bed and out cold]

Parrish: [once he's done, he's going to realize how empty he feels and he is going to raid the fridge]

Laura: [and eventually she will hear him rustling around and she will pull herself out of bed to go find him] Hey.

Parrish: Hey. [she won't be able to see the road rash he's sporting under his sweats] Sleeping on the job again?

Laura: [she smirks] I guess all that worrying about you is wearing me out.

Parrish: Well, good news is that you don't have to worry. The beast has been defeated.

Laura: [that definitely makes her breathe easier] Good. What about Gerard?

Parrish: Chris was playing him the whole time.

Laura: Good.

Parrish: And the Dread Doctors are dead, and except for Lydia needing a hospital visit, we're good. [doesn't know about Stiles yet]

Laura: Very good. Sounds like it finished happily ever after. [moves closer and pushes herself up onto the counter next to him so that she's more at eye level while she talks to him] How are you doing?

Jordan: [deep breath] Better. Since the hound and I merged... it's been easier.

Laura: Good. And hopefully after this, it'll be quiet for a little while.

Parrish: I hope so. As long as it does, the nematon won't call out to the hound which means it's my life again.

Laura: Good. Because I have some stuff I need to tell you, but if you're too tired, we can talk about it in the morning.

Parrish: No, no I'm not that tired. I mean, it's the whole body is drained but I'm up.

Laura: [she nods slowly] Are you sure? Because this is important.

Parrish: Well, if it's important, I definitely want to hear it now.

Laura: [she nods before pulling him in closer so that he's standing in front of her and she takes a deep breath before looking up at him] I'm pregnant.

Parrish: [he likes the whole being wait what did you say] You're... we're... wait what?

Laura: [she laughs] I'm pregnant.

Parrish: We're having a baby. We're... how long have you known and you didn't tell me? [he's happy, the joy is all over his face and probably the first time she's seeing him smile that brightly in a LONG time]

Laura: [shakes her head, but she's grinning. It's good to see that smile again] Just a couple weeks. I didn't want to stress you out too much with everything else going on.

Parrish: Well, this is the best news I've had in a while. [he looks at her] This IS good news, right?

Laura: [she laughs] Yes. It is great news. [it wouldn't have been such good news if she was doing this on her own, but he's here, with her, and everything is done]

Parrish: [and he's going to grin, hold her cheeks and lean in to kiss her soundly]

Laura: [she sighs as she sinks into the kiss, sliding her arms around his neck to pull him closer]

Parrish: [and he will kiss her until he needs air, and then press his forehead against hers] We're going to have to get our own place now, you know.

Laura: You mean we can't just run away to the woods and stay there?

Parrish: [laughs] You want to be that far from your family with a baby while I'm at work most of the day?

Laura: [she shrugs] We'd certainly have privacy.

Parrish: That we would. But it's far from work.

Laura: It is. We'll figure it out.

Parrish: We will.

Laura: And we have about nine months to do it.

Parrish: All the time in the world. Just hope Dawn doesn't kill you for the refitting on your dress.

Laura: Well, if they get married soon, like they intend to, I should be able to fit into it just fine. I've got a couple months before I start to show.

Parrish: Speaking of... do you want to get married as well then before the baby comes?

Laura: [her eyebrows raise] Not if that's how you're going to ask me.

Parrish: No, no, when I do, it will be a lot more romantic, I promise. I just... I heard some people feel that they need to be married before kids, and others are okay not. I don't think we've had a chance to talk about that.

Laura: [she shakes her head] I don't care. I just need to know I'm not in this alone.

Parrish: You're not alone. I promise you, I'm not going anywhere without you.

Laura: Good. Making it all official can wait.

Parrish: Good. Now maybe we should go to bed and celebrate?

Laura: [she nods in agreement] I think that sounds like an excellent idea.

Parrish: [and his hands are going to go to her hips and he will lift her up playfully and carry her to bed]

Laura: [where they will do lots and lots of celebrating]

Parrish: [Oh yeah. totally]
