new york wolves } { of revealing secrets and the shape you take
Malia: [so Malia came over to watch a movie and watching a movie turned into making out and making out is starting to edge to more than that, so before it can get that far, she pulls back, letting her hands rest against his chest] Wait. There's something I have to tell you.
Jeremy: Now? [no, really... things were getting good, why are we stopping to talk?]
Malia: Yes. We can go back to that in a second, I just ... there's something you have to know about me first.
Jeremy: [sighs, shifting to sit up a bit then because yeah] What do I need to know?
Malia: [she pauses for a moment, toying on her bottom lip for a second, before she decides to just let her eyes speak for her, flashing a bright blue]
Jeremy: [he sees that and blinks a minute, tilting his head. Give him another second to connect it and...] So what are you?
Malia: [yes. It worked. A+ plus for nonverbal communication] Werecoyote.
Jeremy: [nods] I didn't know you could be something other than a werewolf.
Malia: [snorts] Oh, no. There's tons of other stuff out there. Some people say that the shape you take reflects the person that you are.
Jeremy: Do you think it does?
Malia: [she shrugs] My dad's a wolf, my mom's human, and I'm neither. It has to do a little, at least.
Jeremy: Well, I mean, why do you feel you're a coyote?
Malia: Because on my first full moon when I was eight I shifted into one?
Jeremy: [blinks] Like full out four legs?
Malia: Fur, tail and everything.
Jeremy: ... That's kinda cool. Can you still do it?
Malia: [wrinkles her nose and shakes her head] I mean, it runs in my family - my dad's sister could do it - but it was kind of a spur of the moment circumstance thing. After my alpha got me to shift to human I could never figure out how to get back.
Jeremy: Well, I'll admit you're a lot more fun this shaped.
Malia: That's what I've been told. But ... I was stuck that way for three years. For a while it was all I knew, and it was hard to adjust being ... this way again.
Jeremy: I can imagine. And well, it explains a bit about you I had been wondering about.
Malia: [her eyebrows go up in a question] Like what?
Jeremy: You're just a lot more matter of fact and to the point. You don't play word games and dance around shit like other girls. I kinda like that.
Malia: Oh. [so long as he likes it about her, then that's fine] Good.
Jeremy: So were you worried that I'd freak out finding out you weren't fully human?
Malia: [shakes her head] No. Tyler said you were cool with it, so I figured you'd be fine. I just don't like to lie if I don't have to.
Jeremy: Well, I appreciate it. And I can assure you that, as far as I know, I'm fully human. [smirks]
Malia: [laughs] I'd be able to tell if you weren't.
Jeremy: Well, good. Let me know if something changes then. [laughs]
Malia: [smirks] Cross my heart.
Jeremy: Good. So... can we continue or is there anything else we need to talk about?
Malia: Nope, we're good. [and back to smooching]
