canon au } { post-s4, of unfortunate sibling moments and bubble baths

Cora: [gets sullenly back in the car after ... all of that, and just keeps her eyes straight ahead on the road in front of them] Go.

Stiles: [blinks because that was a drastic mood change] Um... okay? [and he's just going to... drive]

Cora: [yeah, she's just going to sulk for the first half hour or so before shaking her head] I live at the loft too, right?

Stiles: In the times you're not at school or sleeping in my bed, yes.

Cora: So it stands to reason that I should be able to walk into the loft without being scarred for life?

Stiles: I'm pretty sure my dad would disagree with you on that. I think I scar him at least once a month. It's part of living together. [blinks] Wait... what were they doing?

Cora: [just squirms and looks INCREDIBLY uncomfortable because she feels gross even saying it]

Stiles: [give him a second.] Oh god. Oh my god they were... huh. Um... well, it could be worse...

Cora: [...] I'd ask how it could be worse, but I'm not really sure I want to know.

Stiles: [thinks] He could have walked in on us.

Cora: [shudders violently] I just ... can't get it out of my head.

Stiles: [nods] Well, if it makes you feel better, I'm sure Derek is just as traumatized. I'm pretty sure he never intended for you to see his junk.

Cora: [grumbles] He just got pissed that I texted instead of calling. But I shouldn't have to call. He has a bedroom! With walls!

Stiles: He was pissed? Wow. You sure he wasn't trying to deflect? I mean, um... I can tell you texting isn't really like calling. One just has like a beep and you miss it. I miss texts all the time. Calls make the phone ring longer to get your attention. When you know, you are caught up in the moment and need to not be...

Cora: [scowls] I know. But it's worked before. And, again, he knew I was in town. I live there too!

Stiles: I know. I know. I'm just…trying to figure out why Derek would be doing that. [and he's going to just shut up. Well...] I don't think he meant to disrespect you, you know. [now shutting up]

Cora: [sighs as she rubs her eyes] No, I know. I'm just ... I can't unsee it.

Stiles: Probably like Scott being unable to see your whole chest area that day.

Cora: [and then her cheeks flush and she looks away to the window]

Stiles: [nods] I'm still surprised Maria hasn't caught us either.

Cora: She makes a point to stay out of the room.

Stiles: Which myself and my junk appreciates highly.

Cora: I'm sure.

Stiles: Well... I mean you should probably talk to him about it. Later, when it's not still causing you brain trauma.

Cora: [nods a bit] Yeah. Not today.

Stiles: And you'll forget details eventually. I mean, pretty sure Scott doesn't remember what your breasts look like anymore.

Cora: I hope so.

Stiles: But he totally knows what my junk looks like. I mean, lacrosse and all. But I know what his looks like too so we're even there.

Cora: [closes her eyes] I didn't need to know that.

Stiles: Yeah, trust me, seeing junk doesn't bother me anymore.

Cora: [just ... tries not to laugh] Good to know.

Stiles: Yup. Not that I want to see your brother's junk. Like ever. But after a while you learn that junk is just junk, and it happens to just be out there sometimes and you ignore it.

Cora: It's harder when it's related to you.

Stiles: ... And now I'm thinking about my Dad's junk. Okay, there we both have disturbing imagery enough for both of us.

Cora: [nods with a sigh] There we go.

Stiles: So let's both get the disturbing imagery out of our minds and instead think about each other naked and what we want to do when we get to Berkley. Though this may make our trip a very long four hours.

Cora: [blinks for a moment and rubs her eyes] I'm not even sure I can go there right now.

Stiles: Oh god, really? I mean, that's... that's so not good. No, no we need to fix this right now. [and he's going to look for somewhere to pull off because if Cora can't think about sex with him, this is not looking favorable for him]

Cora: [she blinks at him, before glancing around] What are you doing?

Stiles: I'm looking for a make out spot. I obviously need to give you something better to think about.

Cora: ... Stiles. [her tone says "no don't do that"]

Stiles: If you're going to spend the next four hours thinking about someone naked having sex, it's going to be about me and you, not your brother.

Cora: How about I not think about sex at all?

Stiles: Well, can you? Because I will take desperate measures if I have to.

Cora: Yeah, I think I can manage. You can fix the other problem when we get to Berkeley.

Stiles: You sure?

Cora: Positive.

Stiles: Alright. [and he's going to get back on the main road to get them on the interstate]

Cora: [good. And she'll just watch the road go and think about something boring and dull. Like chemistry.]

Stiles: So um... Scott decided he's staying in Beacon Hills after graduation.

Cora: [glances over] Really?

Stiles: Yeah. He um... Deaton's going to take him on as an official apprentice. And he kinda feels he needs to make sure he's taking care of Beacon Hills.

Cora: [smiles softly and nods] That's good.

Stiles: And Lydia got accepted to like, everywhere.

Cora: That doesn't surprise me.

Stiles: And Malia.... she hasn't talked about it much.

Cora: She probably hasn't really thought about it.

Stiles: Yeah. I know she's been talking to Peter while he's out in Scotland with Buffy, but if she's talked to him about it...

Cora: She's probably still adjusting. [a beat] She actually might like Scotland, if she wanted to go with them.

Stiles: Doubt her father'd let her go.

Cora: Why not?

Stiles: Let her travel halfway across the world to stay with a strange guy that all he thinks if her tutor still?

Cora: More like stay at an elite boarding school for girls with ... unique social situations. You forget that Scotland is a castle full of Slayers.

Stiles: Uh huh. That's a good twist. Maybe you should suggest it to them so they can get her there instead of sitting in Beacon Hills by herself for a week.

Cora: [nods before pulling out her phone to text Buffy] Maybe they could say she's doing a visit or something?

Stiles: That her tutor's something was an alumni and suggested it as a good pre-college experience?

Cora: Actually, I say we just let Giles handle it.

Stiles: Good plan. Yes, that's a good plan

Cora: [nods as she keeps texting]

Stiles: [will eventually lean over to try and read]

Cora: [pulls back] Keep your eyes on the road.

Stiles: I'm watching the road too.

Cora: Watch the road more. I'll tell you what she says.

Stiles: What are you telling her?

Cora: I'm seeing if there's a place for Malia in with the Slayers. I think it'd be good for her because it would give her a place where she wouldn't have to hide. She could still go to school but she'd get to spend time with Peter and she'd have a job with the Slayers, room, board.

Stiles: Is Peter ever coming back?

Cora: I think he will if Buffy does.

Stiles: Or you guys ask?

Cora: [nods] Like, they'll probably be back for the wedding, whenever that is.

Stiles: Yeah, pretty sure Dawn would cancel the wedding if her sister didn't come.

Cora: Yep. They'll be back, but I think it'll be good for Peter to be out of Beacon Hills for a while. He always wanted to travel.

Stiles: Time for him to get an actual life? [smirks a bit]

Cora: [nods with a smirk] Something like that.

Stiles: Why does that scare me a bit?

Cora: To be honest, she probably has to drag him out of the library.

Stiles: Yeah, you know I can't wait to get my library card there.

Cora: Don't worry. You will one day.

Stiles: And then you will be the one dragging me out.

Cora: I promise I'll be gentle.

Stiles: Oh, I'm sure.

Cora: I have my ways.

Stiles: And we're back to talking about sex. [smirks]

Cora: [laughs] I guess we are.

Stiles: Though to be fair, I've been thinking about sex with you for like, the last week.

Cora: Oh really?

Stiles: Oh yeah. Totally coming up with ideas.

Cora: Like what?

Stiles: Bubble bath.

Cora: Oooh. I like that idea.

Stiles: I thought you would.

Cora: Do you want to do that when we get there?

Stiles: Well, it will have been a long ride.

Cora: We should definitely take some time and relax.

Stiles: Does Derek's apartment have a bathtub big enough?

Cora: [nods] Technically it's Dawn's apartment and she likes baths.

Stiles: Good. Then yes, bath. Totally first thing. Or maybe second. We may want to eat.

Cora: We could eat right before we get there.

Stiles: True.

Cora: So McDonalds or something on the way, and when we get there, bubble bath.

Stiles: Arby’s?

Cora: Sounds perfect. [and with that we time skip to them getting to the apartment?]

Stiles: [Totally. and up to the apartment where they will go into things that will be NSFW but omg I'm tired and need to go to bed]

Cora: [that's cool, we can do the NSFW stuff after work tomorrow and maybe do Peter and Buffy talking about having Malia in Scotland at work tomorrow?]
