new york wolves } { of taking down alphas and restarting lives

Dean: [they're up in the trees, spaced out evenly in the mountains and connected on comms. The alphas were already there waiting for her. Dean shifts comfortably in his perch, before speaking and keeping his voice low] We'll take out Kali and Deucalion first, then go for Ennis and the twins.

Esposito: [looking through the scope] Those twins... how old are they? They barely look legal.

Dean: Don't know. Doesn't really matter when they merge into a giant murder machine.

Esposito: Yeah, unless they're being controlled. What if they're the bitches in this pack, only doing what Deucalion tells them to survive?

Dean: Is it really going to matter when they're trying to gut your girl?

Esposito: No, but if we cut the head off the snake and they don't try and keep going...

Dean: We'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

Esposito: Alright.

Peter: If you two are done talking, they are coming into hearing distance.

Dean: [falls silent for a moment as they let Laura talk, watching her closely in their scope, before he sees the subtle tap of her finger against her thigh. That's the signal and he reacts quickly, turning and putting a bullet between Deucalion's eyes]

Esposito: [followed by one in Kali's. He reaims to go for Ennis because he can't really aim at either of the teenagers with his conscience]

Laura: [the twins are shifting by the time Deucalion's body hits the ground, and Ennis is distracted for the moment because of Kali. He drops to the ground next to his mate with a howl of despair and Laura deals with the immediate threat first. She ambushes the twins just as they finish, hands going up and snapping their neck quickly before they can react. Unfortunately that gives Ennis enough time to regroup and he slams into her from behind taking her to the ground with his claws out to slash against her stomach]

Esposito: [and he takes a deep breath, keeping himself calm, lining up the shot... and taking down Ennis before those claws can do anything]

Laura: [Ennis drops on top of her and she groans before pushing the body off her to the side and just ... lying on the ground for a moment as she tried to catch her breath. Her eyes close as she takes a few deep breaths, before pushing up into a sitting position, trying to take stock of everything]

Esposito: [checking the field] I think we're clear, but keep an eye on the giant.

Peter: [nods to Derek, sending him in to check on his sister while staying behind just in case]

Derek: [runs into the field, heading for Laura] You okay?

Laura: [Laura glances over to him and nods as she pushes herself up to her feet] Yeah, I'm okay. Just a few scratches. [there's a bad looking one against her side from when Ennis tacked her claws first but not serious]

Derek: [winces] We need to get that one cleaned up. [looks down at Ennis, taking a deep breath] At least it's over.

Laura: [sighs softly and nods] Yeah. At least there's that. [and just as she says that there's a noise from behind them, and she turns just in time to see the twins separate from their larger form, one rolling off to the top of the other and collapsing on the ground next to his brother] ... the hell?

Esposito: [sees that] We've got.... yeah, I don't know how to describe that.

Derek: [goes to walk over to them, leaning down as he hears something. His fingers play along one of their necks...] He's still alive.

Laura: [her eyes widen before she moves to the other, checking his pulse first before moving to the back of the neck where the fracture should be] That should not be possible.

Derek: Yeah, well merging into one giant super wolf shouldn't be possible either. [he looked at them, and they were just kids. Teenagers] What do you want to do?

Laura: [watches them for a moment, making a face as she shakes her head] I -

Aiden: [she's cut off as one hand reaches up, gripping her wrist tightly as his eyes flash blue] Help. Please.

Derek: [he licked his lips as Ethan's eyes also opened, but he was struggling for air] Yeah, this isn't right. Let's get them to Deaton, and we can figure it out later.

Laura: [nods before calling back over her shoulder] Peter!

Peter: [and he's jogging down to meet them, looking down impassively at the twins] You aren't seriously considering helping them.

Laura: Already considered. Already decided. Help me get him up.

Peter: [sighs and goes to lean down and help her pick up Aiden.]

Derek: Just relax. [said to Ethan as he lifts the boy gently, taking care to watch his neck]

Laura: [and with that they will shuffle them back to the van to haul them off to Deaton]

Esposito: [and while Deaton is working on the two of them, he's going to go help dress Laura's wound because he can]

Laura: [sighs but lets him even as she protests] It's fine. I'll heal.

Esposito: Yeah, I know that, but do you want to walk around with it showing and getting dirt in it? I don't think so.

Laura: [another sigh, but she doesn't comment, keeping her eyes on the twins as Deaton works]

Peter: [is assisting Deaton, but also trying to be a menacing presence so the twins don't try anything] So what are you thinking kept them alive?

Deaton: Possibly the fact that they were attacked while in their compound shift. Whatever it was that forced them out of it must have been a self-preservation instinct of some kind. Though I would hazard a guess that they would not be able to achieve that kind of shift again. [he pauses for a moment] You said their eyes were blue when they came out of it?

Derek: Yeah, they were. Just like mine.

Deaton: [pauses for a moment, his hand raising to his chin] You know, there's a theory that an alpha may be able to sacrifice their power in order to heal someone else.

Peter: And you think that they sacrificed their power to save each other?

Deaton: It's entirely possible. And the fatigue that comes with an expulsion of power of that magnitude would explain why they were both struggling after the fact. But I've never seen anything like what they can do before. It's hard to really say definitively.

Peter: I just want to know if they are still going to be a threat. Because if they are... [better how than later]

Deaton: That depends entirely on them - and probably a question you won't be able to ask until one of them wakes up.

Peter: [nods, and will just remain angry at them until then]

Deaton: [and he will get back to work, checking their vitals and making sure they're healing]

Ethan: [and he's going to be the first of the two to come to again, his eyes confused as to where he is]

Deaton: [places his hands on his shoulders gently] Relax. You're safe. You're at the Beacon Hills Animal Clinic. [he pauses, before making sure that Ethan can see him] Do you know who I am?

Ethan: [looks around at all the Hales and then focuses on Deaton, barely nodding but nodding just the same]

Deaton: Would you like me to remove the mask and see if you are able to breathe on your own?

Ethan: [another small nod]

Deaton: [and with that he will very gently remove the mask, bringing it down around his neck so that he can bring it up quickly if needed]

Ethan: [his voice is cracked as his neck is still healing] Thank you.

Deaton: Of course. Are you Ethan or Aiden?

Ethan: Ethan. [his eyes try to look for his brother] Is he...?

Deaton: He's recovering on the table next to you. I'm going to have to ask you try not to move your head too much while your neck is healing. Can you do that for me, Ethan?

Ethan: Yeah, yeah I can. [he closes his eyes, relaxing a bit knowing that Aiden is okay]

Deaton: Can you tell us what happened?

Ethan: [his eyes look over at Peter's face, then back at Deaton] I think you probably already know.

Deaton: Not necessarily. We know what got you in this position - we're just not entirely sure how you survived it.

Ethan: I don't know how we did either. I remember hearing my neck snap and everything going black.

Deaton: Then whatever it was, it must have happened subconsciously. More instinct than a conscious choice.

Ethan: [he is quiet a moment] Are the others dead?

Deaton: Yes. You and your brother are the only survivors.

Ethan: [looks over at Laura] For how long?

Laura: [shifts to turn her look back on him before raising an eyebrow] That depends on you, kid. You going to come after my pack again?

Ethan: No. We didn't really want to in the first place, but we did what Deucalion told us.

Laura: Then we shouldn't have a problem.

Ethan: [he tries to find his brother out of the corner of his eyes. He knows that Aiden is going to be the hothead to control between them, but that was his job] I take it that an apology is too little too late?

Laura: It's not me you have to apologize to. It's Malia and Cora and while I can't speak for them, I can't imagine they'll be easily forgiving.

Ethan: I understand.

Laura: Then for right now you go your separate ways and I'll go mine, and we won't have a problem.

Ethan: We can do that. [they didn't like New York anyway]

Laura: Good. [sighs as she eases herself off the counter she had been sitting on, and trying not to pull at the wound Espo had put so much work into] Then I think we're done here. Unless there's something else we need to discuss?

Ethan: No, I think we're good.

Laura: Good. [and she nods to Peter and Derek] Let's go.

Derek: [and they will follow her and head back to the Stilinski house where Stiles is playing guardian of the two girls]

Laura: [and Laura is just going to hug them both very very tightly in a pile on the couch because she hasn't gotten to see them yet and yeah. she needs it. she'll be there a while. You boys can sort out the sordid details.]

Derek: [and he's going to talk to Peter quietly in the corner, because he isn't sure how much longer they are going to be there, but he wants to get one thing off his list and he needs to go back and see the house]

Laura: [hears that but also won't begrudge him it - Derek can go do what he needs to do. They probably won't leave until morning anyway.]

Peter: [nope, isn't happy about it. The twins are out there, who knows what other allies Deucalion had, and then oh, yeah they are in Argent territory. Nope, not happy at all]

Laura: Peter, he can take Nik with him. He'll be fine.

Peter: [sighs] Fine. Just don't do anything stupid.

Derek: Thanks for the vote of confidence.

Laura: [SIGH]

Derek: [to Nik] Want to grab dinner on the way? I'm curious if this diner is still there near the school.

Stiles: Yeah, it's there. Best curly fries in the area.

Nik: [glances up and shrugs] I always am ready to eat.

Derek: [and they can go off to the diner and get some burgers]

Laura: [and the girls will probably just wind up falling asleep on the couch in a giant puppy pile so its entirely up to you where we go from here]

Derek: [well, Derek is probably going to go get some flowers and then go to the house, walk through it and look in all the little hiding spots for things, just taking his time and saying his goodbyes finally. and leaving the flowers on a dresser in his parents' room.]

Nik: [will just hang out outside and let him do his thing]

Derek: [and maybe in one of rooms he finds a trunk that hadn't been burnt and he opens it to find photo albums. And he's going to look through them, and then pick up the trunk and take it with him.]

Nik: [glances up as he hears him coming out] Need a hand?

Derek: Yeah. I'm taking this back. At least to let Laura decide if we're taking it home, or putting it in the vault.

Nik: [nods as he goes to reach for one of the handles]

Derek: [and he's going to carry it back to the Stilinski house, bringing it into the living room.] Looks like I found something Peter overlooked the last time he was here.

Laura: [sits up a bit, Malia dozing next to her and Cora out with her head in her sister's lap, and she frowns] Is that what I think that is?

Derek: Yeah, it's Mom's. [he opened it, reaching in and pulling out one of the photo albums] This thing apparently wanted to protect our memories for us.

Laura: [ pauses before reaching for it tentatively, letting one hand run over the cover as she takes it] Man, I haven't seen this in ages.

Cora: [blinks as she stirs at the movement] What is it?

Derek: [sits on the table across from them, looking over at the book] Pictures, from before the fire.

Malia: [makes a face and curls away. There aren't any of her in it so she doesn't really care]

Cora: [sits up a little more so that she can get a better look at it] Oh my God. It looks like it survived pretty well.

Peter: [is going to come over and look as well, but he's going to just put a hand on Malia's back, rubbing it gently]

Cora: [Malia presses into his hand as Cora gently opens the first album, squinting at the scenes as she tries to place it] I don't remember this.

Laura: That's my sixth birthday. You weren't alive yet.

Cora: That would explain it. [but there's a picture of her mom smiling and she can't help but let her fingers linger over it for a moment]

Derek: [smiles watching his sisters] I guess there are still a few Christmas miracles left in the world.

Stiles: [he's just going to be watching this from his spot on the staircase silently, knowing what this really means to them]

Cora: [smiles softly] I guess so.

Derek: I figure we can try and take them back, or else put them down in the vault.

Peter: Well, it wouldn't be the only thing down there. Which, Laura you may want to take a moment and look through it before we leave and see if you want to bring anything to New York for yourself.

Laura: [nods] We should take the albums home, though. It'd be nice to have them there.

Cora: [just stays silent as they discuss it, flipping through the pictures until she finds one of her father and stops again, letting her hand rest there for a moment]

Stiles: [he's listening a moment, and then he just has to ask because Home to them is New York. He can see that] So you guys are never planning on coming back here again, are you?

Laura: [glances up to him, before shaking her head] Probably not. I don't want to say never because things could change, but right now? I think we're pretty set where we are.

Stiles: [he nods, because yeah... in a year and a half he's going to have to make a very hard choice] Okay.

Cora: [glances up at him on the stairs because she knows what that choice is and she doesn't want him to go. But she also knows it's not fair to separate him from his family either]

Stiles: [licks his lips] So I take it it's safe to leave the house on our own?

Laura: If you're careful, yeah. Peter was right before, we don't know who's around. Don't go alone.

Stiles: I should have gone with Derek then. [chuckles] Anyone up for a walk in the woods?

Cora: Me! [and that was a little too eager] I just ... really want to get out of this house for a bit.

Stiles: [smirks a bit] Yeah, trust me I'm feeling the same way. Come on, I'll drive us up there and we can take our time.

Cora: [glances to Laura] Is it okay?

Laura: [small smile] Yeah, it's fine. Just be careful.

Cora: [nods and gets up to join him]

Stiles: [and hey, she gets her first ride in the jeep!] So You're leaving tomorrow, huh?

Cora: [ahhh the infamous Jeep. Watch her eye it skeptically before she climbs inside] I guess so, yeah. I know that the Castles at least will want to know I'm okay.

Stiles: Yeah, I should probably warn you that Hal was waiting for you guys to be back home safe before he did something completely crazy like you know, propose. [smirks a bit] It's apparently the season for it.

Cora: [she laughs] Good for them.

Stiles: Yeah, they're sickeningly adorable and made for each other. [bites the inside of his lip] Which um... your sister moved me back into the penthouse. But I can move back out once I get back. My flight isn't until the 29th.

Cora: Stiles, I just spent the past few days sleeping in your bed, I think I can handle being in the same penthouse as you if you want to avoid the engagement sex.

Stiles: They were talking about getting a one bedroom anyway. I think they only got a two bedroom because of wanting to have a way to bring me back from California.

Cora: Then yeah. It's fine.

Stiles: But yeah, so there's no actually guest room anymore. I even decorated a bit.

Cora: Good. [pauses as she glances out the window] Probably the way it should have been in the first place.

Stiles: Yeah, well last time we were younger and a lot more impulsive. We learned from it.

Cora: [deep breath and nods] Yeah, we did.

Stiles: Not that I regret it. I mean, I don't. But I can see now how it made things worse in the end.

Cora: [nods] We didn't have our own corners to retreat to.

Stiles: And we didn't really give each other any breathing room either.

Cora: No. But we didn't want it either.

Stiles: No, no we didn't. We kinda enjoyed that whole barely any space between us parts of the relationship [smirks a bit]

Cora: [laughs] Yeah, we did. And it was awesome.

Stiles: Yeah, it was. Pretty much nothing can top that, and that's including the fact we won nationals earlier this month.

Cora: [brightens a bit] You did?

Stiles: Yup. There's a little trophy in my room and everything. Oh, And Hal and I are going to be co-captains next year. Next fall semester is going to be crazy.

Cora: But good crazy, though.

Stiles: Oh yeah, totally. And you should see this app that I've been building with Peter, Allison, Verity, and Deaton. I mean, it's like an encyclopedia of weird. I love it. Freaks me out sometimes but it's still awesome.

Cora: No, that's good. [she nods for a moment before sighing and glancing out the window again] I've missed so much.

Stiles: Yeah, but it's not stuff you won't have a hard time catching up on. It's just school. At least for me. I kinda was put on lockdown and only let out for school and games.

Cora: Still, it feels like ... I'm out of sync, you know?

Stiles: Oh yeah, no trust me, I know. Well, maybe not as deeply as you feel... but I know what it's like in those first days trying to find your footing again when your life's been turned upside down on you.

Cora: [nods a bit] I wish you were coming home with us. Which seems selfish because we pretty much stole your Christmas, but ... I guess it would be easier with a translator or something.

Stiles: I would... I really would but... My dad kinda got shafted of his vacation with me. Plus there's Scott and Allison... and I mean, I won't be back here probably until the holidays again so I don't want to not spend time with them. [his life now. Other people had his priorities] But it'll only be three days... and I can phone in my interpretation if you need it.

Cora: I know. I know, Stiles, I wasn't ... [she closes her eyes] I just don't know what I'm going to do.

Stiles: [they pulled up at the preserve and he stopped the car, turning in his seat to look at her] I know what you're going to do. You're going to find that strong woman you were a few months ago and find a way to fit back in her pants. One leg at a time. And if that's too hard right now, just hide under Derek's blankets for a few days. Not like he won't be off sucking face with Beckett again now that he's off the same lockdown leash I've been on.

Cora: [sighs softly before nodding. Okay. She can do that. In theory. In reality she'll get back to New York, get abducted by the Castles and aside from some very intense hugging, get treated like she never was gone, but for right now that seems so far away]

Stiles: [he licks his lips a moment] I think you may be better for it not having me to lean on. Not that I don't want to be there... but I know you can do it. And I think you'll see that you can once you're there.

Cora: Nothing really feels like it's mine right now if that makes any sense.

Stiles: Well, I can tell you one thing here that is technically yours. [he nodded out at the woods] I checked the public records... the house was condemned, but the land still stands as being owned by the Hales. That land you want to walk on... it belongs to you.

Cora: Legally, maybe, but these woods haven't been ours for a long time. [sighs softly] It's like ... I remember it being mine, but the girl who lived there - the one who's shoes I have to step into - they're not mine anymore. They don't fit.

Stiles: Well, here's the thing - the woods don't care what shoes you're wearing when you're in them. They're always here, waiting for you no matter what you're wearing, why you need to walk in them, and no matter how long it's been since you last visited. [he slides out of the jeep and walked around to open her door] Find new paths to walk.

Cora: [sighs as she gets out of the car. It isn't just the paths, it's the ghosts that lurk around their corners. But maybe he's right. But she can't help but feel that being here without certain people is wrong in it's own way.]

Stiles: [he watches her a moment, and then offered his hand] Want me to show you my favorite spot?

Cora: [glances over before nodding with a small smile] Sure.

Stiles: [and holding her hand, he's going to take her on the path that leads up to lookout point]

Cora: [she'll follow his lead, keeping her hand in his as she looks around]

Stiles: Scott and I would always come out here when we were in trouble and threatened to run away from home. There's an old coyote's den right around there we thought we could hide from our parents until some animal group put repellent in there and we nearly died from how bad it smelt.

Cora: [she glances back over her shoulder before frowning] Where was it? It was probably Malia's.

Stiles: Oh god, that would be hilarious. Hey Malia, so you know I used to hide in your den when I was trying not to get yelled at by my dad. Small forest, huh?

Cora: [laughs] Yeah. She hid me in her den after the fire. That's how we found her.

Stiles: It's a very good hiding place. You have good instincts.

Cora: Well, it was more like Malia herded me in there.

Stiles: Still. [he pointed at the den as the reached it] There it is.

Cora: [her smile stretches slightly] Yep. That's it.

Stiles: [laughs] Awesome. I'll have to give Malia a thank you note for having such a welcoming den for two pre-teens hiding from parents.

Cora: I'm sure she'll appreciate that.

Stiles: So anyway, we're going uphill from here. [and he goes to guide Cora up on top of the den and then towards the moon]

Cora: [follows his lead until they reach the top of the point and they're staring out over the city]

Stiles: [stands here, staring out at it.] This is where I come when I want to clear my head.

Cora: [watches it for a moment before nodding] Good choice.

Stiles: [he guides her to a stone that was there, going to sit on it and give her room to sit next to him] I just sit here and look out at the city, but really looking up at the stars. I miss the stars so much when I'm in New York. You realize just how small you are in the whole way of the world.

Cora: You can see them from the roof on a clear night.

Stiles: Yeah, but not as clear as this.

Cora: True.

Stiles: [he points up at a shooting star] Make a wish.

Cora: [she glances up at the star, following the line of it for a moment before closing her eyes and making a wish]

Stiles: [watches her, grinning before just leaning back on the rock] So what did you wish for?

Cora: [glances over at him before shaking her head] If I tell you it won't come true.

Stiles: No, that's birthday candles. You can totally tell people about your shooting star wishes.

Cora: [she makes a face] Are you sure? Because I'm pretty sure all wishes are wait and see kind of things.

Stiles: Well, it's up to you.

Cora: [she glances at him for a moment, almost as though she's weighing her options. she inches closer after a moment, moving her hand to rest against his shoulder and against his neck] Maybe I want to make sure it has the best chance it can get.

Stiles: [that one spot has him closing his eyes, his head moving to give her better access out of instinct] I can stand behind that.

Cora: [she nods, especially because if she says it, then that isn't really her wish coming true. Not exactly in the way she wants it. But that response from him has her inching closer, brushing her thumb just under the edge of his jawline as she was] Good.

Stiles: [all she's going to get is a very soft sigh. He stopped sleeping with Lydia last May, so beyond the affection from Laura, he hasn't been touched for a while. Which was good because he had taught himself that he didn't need to always have it. That it was better it just enjoy it when he had to, and savor it like he couldn't always have it]

Cora: [she had stopped sleeping with Tyler around the same time, and while she had Malia, it wasn't anything like what it is with Stiles. She spent too much of her time in the vault being scared and she wants to just melt into him and take everything there is to offer. But she doesn't want to just keep making these moves. Part of her wants him to make them too. Still, she moves closer, resting her forehead against his as she stayed close]

Stiles: [he looks up at her, his eyes looking into hers] God, I want to kiss you...

Cora: [glances up, holding his gaze for a moment before raking her teeth over her bottom lip, practically pleading him to do it but unsure how to say it]

Stiles: [his nose flares, picking up her silent change of scent. It was the anxious want, something he hadn't smelt in a long time. There was a hesitant smile, and he readjusted his balance to free one hand before cupping her cheek and tilting her head up a bit so that they could kiss. It was soft, gentle, testing her to make sure it's what she really wanted]

Cora: [she sighs softly as she melts into the kiss, kissing him back and sinking into him, trying to get as close as possible]

Stiles: [he's going to lay back, pulling her down with him, his hand cupping the back of her neck to keep her kissing him]

Cora: [goes where she's lead, leaning into his hands as she pulls herself closer]

Stiles: [he was going to keep kissing her, his hands keeping her nice and close and just taking in the wonderful scent of their scents mixing together for the first time in forever. For just a moment, he feels like he is exactly where he wants to be]

Cora: [she's not planning on going farther than kissing, at least not for right now, but it feels good and she's tired of fighting it. She finally feels like she's in a place where she doesn't have to be. That's worth it in the end.]

Stiles: [After kissing for a while, he's going to pull back for a breath] Yeah, I really missed that.

Cora: [grins a bit as she stays close] Me too.

Stiles: [he strokes her face] I never stopped loving you. Just so you know.

Cora: [tips her head to lean into his hand] Me either. Even when part of me didn't really want to.

Stiles: I'm so sorry I hurt you. [there's a soft smile] I'm going to spend the rest of my life making that up to you, no matter what happened between us. I swear.

Cora: [sighs as she leans into him, getting as close as she can] I know, Stiles.

Stiles: [keeps her there, just looking up at the sky, and deciding to change the subject] So, I think it's also important to note that Detective Esposito out-stubborned your sister. You should have seen it. It was kinda awesome.

Cora: [laughs] Well, good. Someone had to.

Stiles: He just walked up to the plane like "Nope, I'm gonna do this so get over it" Her face was priceless. She's really met her match.

Cora: That's good, though. She needs someone to tell her no.

Stiles: Yeah. She needs someone to tell her no, and Peter needs someone to tell him to stop glaring.

Cora: I don't think such a person exists.

Stiles: Nadia is close. He at least doesn't glare for a few hours after he comes back from seeing her.

Cora: [laughs] She's good at calming him down.

Stiles: I'd ask her what her secret is, but I'm pretty sure that's in the territory of I really don't need to know.

Cora: Yeah, I think that's for the best.

Stiles: As long as it works, it saves me a lot of hiding in my room.

Cora: I think it'll keep working for a very long time.

Stiles: Good. He and I have finally gotten back to somewhat normal standing I don't want to lose that again.

Cora: I'm glad he got over it.

Stiles: Me too. Its nice being back home. [because the Hale house was his NY home, hands down]

Cora: I missed you a lot.

Stiles: I have to say... I missed me a lot too. [he smirked a bit] Took me awhile to find me again, but I think I found him.

Cora: [laughs softly] Good.

Stiles: And he kinda finds the new you very hot. Just saying. You can think on that. [smirks and cuddles her closer]

Cora: [laughs] Oh really?

Stiles: Oh yeah. Totally.

Cora: And what exactly does he find hot about her?

Stiles: This whole strong female who knows what she wants. Very attractive. Totally makes you want to be the one wanted.

Cora: [hums softly as she nods] Good to know.

Stiles: Not that I didn't love the sweet, innocent Cora either, but the whole strong female thing - totally hot.

Cora: And what if you were the one I wanted.

Stiles: Then I'm pretty sure I'm a lucky bastard and better not fuck it up this time.

Cora: [she nods] Good. [though the way she says it sounds like "please don't" because she's not sure she could go through it again]

Stiles: [his hand rubs her back, just staring at the stars before looking back down at her, kissing her forehead]

Cora: [closes her eyes as at that touch, curling into him a bit and staying close as she can]

Stiles: [and he's just content to stay there until it starts to get cold and the clouds start to come in with a few snowflakes]

Cora: [glances up at that, before sighing softly] We should probably head back.

Stiles: That's up to you. We could always go hide in a coyote den to wait out the snow. [smirks]

Cora: [she laughs] I think if we don't get back soon, Laura might have a panic attack.

Stiles: Alright, but only because you pulled the not wanting to worry the alpha card. [pushes himself up and offers her a hand]

Cora: [takes it, and pulls herself up, but she keeps her hand in his once it's done]

Stiles: [and while they are standing there with the view and the snow, he's going to pull her into his arms and kiss her gently one more time]

Cora: [closes her eyes and leans into the kiss, her hands moving to his sides to brace herself]

Stiles: [and he's going to kiss her as long as she will let him before pulling away and smiling]
