canon au } { post-3b, of clearing the air and candyland

[After things even out post-nogitsune and Isaac is back home again, Allison decides they need to address the whole them-while-he-was-possessed thing. Because while she doesn’t want to make things weird or awkward, before this goes further, she needs to know what he remembers. And if that’s even what he wants.]

Allison: [a bit nervous, but she takes a breath to calm herself and knocks on the door lightly, expecting Melissa to answer]

Isaac: [tosses the book down immediately because OMG DISTRACTION and he's opening the door] Oh. Hey.

Allison: [there's a flicker of a smile as she nods] Hey. [a beat] I heard you were out, so I thought I'd come see how you were doing.

Isaac: I'm healed, and except for a flaring case of amnesia, I'm okay. Oh, come in. [finally thinks to step aside to let her in]

Allison: [nods a bit as she makes her way inside. Dawn had warned her that he didn't remember everything, but Dawn also hadn't realized how much he actually ... forgot] Yeah, so ... how far back does that amnesia go, exactly?

Isaac: [rubs at the back of his neck] They had just transferred me out of the burn unit. I heard about Derek being shot and that he had woken up. Then... nothing.

Allison: [... oh.] Oh. Okay. [that sort of sucks, but hey, she can work with that. maybe.] So I guess it was all that ... thing that Deaton pulled out of you?

Isaac: Yeah. Which, Deaton needs smaller hands. I nearly got lockjaw.

Allison: [nods and is suddenly really glad they didn't go further than kissing and snuggling because that would have been ... weird. At least in this world, anyway] They got the job done. That's what matters.

Isaac: Yeah, it does. And no one died, which is always a bonus.

Allison: Yeah. Definitely a bonus. [exhales slowly, before turning and moving inside more] So. How's the recovery going?

Isaac: It's going great. Scott's mom won't let me do anything but lay down and read or watch TV. Which I try to do when she's home.

Allison: [nods a bit] I haven't actually watched TV ... since I moved to Beacon Hills. [smirks a bit] Or at least that's what it feels like.

Isaac: Most of it is trash anyway. You're better off not watching it.

Allison: [nods again] Well ... I'm here now. We could try for a bit of variety?

Isaac: Sure. What do you have in mind? [he has ideas but they are not living room friendly...]

Allison: [She is actually looking for something living room friendly right now, mostly because him being there but not has left her off balance. But at the same time she still wants to spend time with him, and hopes that it will ease some of those anxieties] We could ... play a board game?

Isaac: Okay. I think Scott said they were in the closet under the stairs... [he goes to it, not knowing there is lacrosse equipment waiting to fall on him there]

Allison: [follows behind him to help or at least narrow down options and when the door opens her reaction is a bit more delayed than it should be] ... Oh no.

Isaac: Oh crap [and thankfully he is a wolf and jumps out of the way in time, but grabs the stick about to hit her]

Allison: [her hands are up, ready to try and catch the stick herself, but when Isaac gets it for her, she smiles] Thanks.

Isaac: No problem. You okay?

Allison: [nods once] I'm good. And I'm thinking Candyland. [she points up to the boxes that were hidden behind the lacrosse equipment]

Isaac: Really? Isn't that kinda... girly?

Allison: Well, I am a girl. [takes a bit of a step closer to him] Or did you not notice that? [because she's pretty sure he did]

Isaac: No, I did... Totally... but, I was thinking you're a woman and... Candyland works.

Allison: [she grins a bit at that, before taking another step in closer to reach past him and grab the box. Apparently she doesn't care about close quarters right now.]

Isaac: [isn't going to complain. But he's back to the awkwardness just because he's trying to be respectful and all]

Allison: [too bad she doesn't appreciate it nearly as much as Chris does. She grabs the box and pulls it off the shelf before taking a step back] I'll set up. What color do you want?

Isaac: Blue. [because like hell he'll be pink.]

Allison: [smirks a bit as she sets up the board at the coffee table, sitting cross-legged on the floor between it and the TV] This used to be my favorite game when I was a kid.

Isaac: Really? [he quickly throws all of Scott's stuff back in the closet.] I was more into Sorry.

Allison: [she shakes her head] My dad wanted me to get into archery, so I was determined to be as girly as possible. [she finishes setting up the board before glancing over to him] I totally wanted to be Queen Frostine.

Isaac: [smiles at that, looking at the picture on the board] Rule all over the frosted goods of the land?

Allison: [she nods in agreement] And she had the prettiest dress.

Isaac: Well, that's true. You'd be a great Queen.

Allison: [she gives a bit of a shrug] I don't know. I think it's a little too ... symbolic for me now. I'd rather be doing the fighting than being fought for.

Isaac: You could totally be that girl from Game of Thrones. The one with the dragons. She's a queen and she can kick ass.

Allison: [that makes her grin] That sounds like my kind of royalty.

Isaac: I've been watching it on TV. It's kinda cool. I'm totally Jon Snow.

Allison: Is that a good or a bad thing? [keep in mind that she is totally going to double check this with Stiles later because she knows he watches Game of Thrones]

Isaac: He's the lone wolf of the main family that has wolves as their family logo thing.

Allison: [looks up at him in surprise] You're not the lone wolf, Isaac.

Isaac: I feel like it sometimes. I mean, Derek's gotten better, but now he's gone. Scott's got Stiles and the twins and I just miss the days with Erica and Boyd sometimes. Cora too.

Allison: You're pack. Scott would do anything for you. [a beat] And even if he didn't, you have me.

Isaac: I know he would. I mean, hell I'm living in his house. But sometimes... I just feel like I'm in the way.

Allison: Trust me. That's the last thing you are.

Isaac: [gives her a small smile] Good to know. Otherwise we'd have to start our own pack, I'd have to fight Scott for the alpha status and that would be ugly.

Allison: [she laughs] Yeah, I think we've got enough going on.

Isaac: So that's a no then on starting our own pack?

Allison: No. I kind of like the pack we're in.
