Allison: [sigh] Look, I get that you mean well. I do. But this guy ... he's been her boogeyman for a long time. She may not react rationally to this, especially if you get hurt in the process.

Parrish: I now she isn't reacting rationally. And I'm trying to be supportive, but I swore an oath to protect the people in this town, and that includes her. And that's what I do.

Allison: There's a difference between protecting her and executing a vendetta on her behalf. [which is a little cold but she's trying to make him see reason] Right now you're not a cop. You're not on the case. If something goes wrong, the sheriff can't protect you.

Parrish: So what do you want me to do? Sit back and watch her slowly go insane and paranoid and push me away and I do nothing?

Allison: No. But keeping things from her isn't going to make her less paranoid. Throwing yourself into harm's way isn't going to make her bring you closer. Don't put her in a position where she feels like she's going to lose everything, because that's when she'll get reckless.

Parrish: [just nods. But he already knows what'll happen if he tells her what's he's doing] I'll take it under advisement.

Allison: [she sighs and nods] Look, you're the first really good thing she's actually let herself have since the last time this guy screwed with her. I know she doesn't always make the right decisions - she's tried to save me by throwing herself into the fire for me before too. She loves you. She needs you more than you think, but sometimes to protect Lydia it doesn't mean protecting her from everything else. It means protecting her from herself.

Peter: [from behind him] She has a very valid point, Deputy. Let Chris and I work on this. You just be there for her, and we'll let you know what we find.

Parrish: [grits his teeth because he feels useless]

Allison: [senses that and she sympathizes, because she's like that too. She needs to be doing, not waiting, but she knows that with Lydia, everything can be all up in her head and you need to be waiting for the right moment for her to tell you what she needs]

Parrish: Fine. But if she gets hurt...

Allison: [holds up her hands] All bets are off. Trust me, I will be right there with you.

Argent: [chuckles] Don't argue with her, Deputy. This is why she's in charge of our family.

Peter: Welcome to the world of matriarchal societies.

Allison: [small smile] It'll be okay. She'll be okay, even if she doesn't seem like it right now. She's tougher than she looks.

Parrish: [nods, but he's still not happy about any of this. But he's obviously being overruled here]

Allison: [will just nod and let it go for now, grabbing what she came to pick up from Peter] Do you need a ride or are you going to stick around for a bit?

Parrish: I'm going to actually go to the gym, and then head home. But thanks.

Allison: Okay. [and she will say goodbye to her dad, then head out]

Parrish: [and with Peter and Chris promising to call him if they get a lead, he goes off to punch a punching bag for a while]

Lydia: [and when he decides to go home, Lydia will be there with her security detail, aimlessly watching TV. She hasn't felt much like working lately]

Parrish: [and home comes sweaty boyfriend in just a tank top and shorts.]

Lydia: [she's not in a place to appreciate it as much as she'd normally like to, but there is still a hint of appreciation as her eyes are drawn to him. She is human after all] Hey.

Parrish: Hey, beautiful. Anything good on TV?

Lydia: [she shrugs] I think it's just been some kind of Bruce Willis marathon. I haven't really been paying attention.

Parrish: Have you done anything else today?

Lydia: [she shrugs.] I ate. [which is an achievement for some days, so worth noting] Today's better than yesterday was.

Parrish: [thinks a moment] I've got an idea, if you're interested.

Lydia: [her eyes narrow as though she's trying to suss out what the idea is before he says it] Maybe.

Parrish: You've got a security detail. Let's just get dressed up super fancy and go out to dinner at a good restaurant. Pretend you're secretly a movie starlet. I'll even get us a car and we can drive out of town where no one knows who you are. Maybe down to Santa Monica, and we can walk along the beach after? I've got some money saved up I can splurge a bit.

Lydia: [the idea isn't a bad one. She isn't entirely sure it's the best idea but she doesn't hate it either. It would at least feel a little normal, which her life has been sorely lacking in the last few weeks. She closes her eyes as she tries to keep the negative thoughts at bay, before she tips her head to the side and decides that maybe it's worth it. She's put him through a lot lately. A night of normal will probably be good for both of them] Okay.

Parrish: Good. Be ready at seven, and dress to impress.

Lydia: [she glances down at the time to see how much she has before nodding] I'll be ready.

Parrish: Good. And I'm going to grab a shower first though. [he leaned down to kiss her]

Lydia: [kisses him back softly, waiting until she hears the shower going before heading upstairs to raid her closet]

Parrish: [and when he's done with his shower, he's going to make the calls to make reservations, get the car service, and then tell the security detail the plans so that they are ready to move before going to find his good suit]

Lydia: [and Lydia will be in the shower at that point with what she's wearing, but her rejects are strewn over the bed]

Parrish: [he's amused at that, but she hasn't been this energetic in a few days, so it's a nice change, even if it's messy]

Lydia: [if there's one thing Lydia knows how to do without thinking about it, it's make herself look pretty. She used to use it in high school to make herself feel better, help paste back on the mask after it's fallen off, and there's no reason the same can't apply here, even though she already knows that Jordan's seen what's underneath. She applies the finishing touches before making her way out and hanging in the doorway for a moment] Is this okay?

Parrish: [oh, he knows, but he also enjoys seeing her dressed up. He looked up where he was fixing his tie and the smile just spread over his face] Perfect. How do I look?

Lydia: [smiles back before nodding and moving over to straighten his tie] Perfect.

Parrish: Well, the car is waiting, and your security detail is glad for a road trip so we're good to go.

Lydia: [nods] Then let's go. [there's a pause as she takes his hand] Where are we going?

Parrish: [and he's going to name off some fancy Santa Monica restaurant]

Lydia: [and she'll nod her approval. color her impressed] Let's go then.

Parrish: [and they will get to go and of course with the security detail having checked the place first, there are a few people looking at them whispering, wondering which of them is the movie star they obviously haven't heard of]

Lydia: [and she will play along and try not to be paranoid at all the people looking at her and focus on the person in front of her] This place is nice.

Lydia: [and she will play along and try not to be paranoid at all the people looking at her and focus on the person in front of her] This place is nice.

Parrish: It had a name I couldn't pronounce, so I figured it would be fancy if nothing else. But yeah, looks real nice.

Lydia: [she laughs] Do you know what they make?

Parrish: I saw steak on the menu. I'm good.

Lydia: Then I guess I will just have to browse. [and she'll pick up the menu to do just that]

Parrish: [and it's fancy, but not super super fancy or expensive so they can enjoy their fantasy date and not send Parrish into debt]

Lydia: [that much is good at least. And they can have a normal conversation as they go] How was work?

Parrish: Boring. Sheriff's got me working on some cold cases that haven't had any fresh leads in months. He thought a new set of eyes would help.

Lydia: [she shrugs] They made a TV show out of it - there has to be some merit to it.

Parrish: Oh, I'm sure. But there isn't a TV station following me around so it's not all glorious. It's me, a desk, and boxes of files.

Lydia: Any of the cases interesting at least?

Parrish: No, not really. Peter's already eliminated his side of the case being in his expertise, so I'm down to just crazy humans.

Lydia: [makes a face] Those are always fun.

Parrish: Tell me about it. But it keeps me busy and in a job, so I can't complain.

Lydia: [she nods] Hopefully it will pick up soon and you'll get to go outdoors and breathe fresh air.

Parrish: I hope so. [totally avoiding the subject of her case. just FYI] So see anything you like?

Lydia: The salmon looks good. [she's glad he's avoiding it. if they're going to pretend that she isn't being stalked by a serial killer, then they shouldn't be talking about it.]

Parrish: I think I'm going to try this crusted mahi-mahi instead.

Lydia: We could get both and share.

Parrish: We could.

Lydia: And then we'll both have room for dessert.

Parrish: Which we can get here, or we can get somewhere on the boardwalk.

Lydia: [considers for a moment, before flipping through to the back of the menu to check out the desserts] Right now, my vote is for here. It looks rather delicious.

Parrish: Then we will eat it here. [he grins, and the waiter comes over to see if they want drinks, and to take their order]

Lydia: [which they do and eventually they will get food and dessert and chat like they haven't a care in the world and we can skip a bit?]

Parrish: [yup, we can skip to when they are walking on the beach, Parrish holding her hand with one hand, his shoes in the other.] So worth the trip out of the house?

Lydia: [she nods with a small smile, looking out over the ocean] Definitely.

Parrish: Good. I think we both needed it.

Lydia: [nods in agreement] Me too. Fresh air does everyone good, I think.

Parrish: Then I think we should definitely go out more often.

Lydia: Me too. [she comes to a stop near the shore, making her way down a bit further so that the surf can pass over her feet.]

Parrish: [he smiles, and just goes to wrap his arms around her, pressing her back to his chest and looking out at the ocean] Good. Then I will make it an effort to get off at least one night a week to do this with you. [and he kissed her neck]

Lydia: [she closes her eyes as she leans back against him, curling into his arms and just letting herself feel safe for a moment. She knows she isn't safe, not really, but it's close enough and she nods] We make it through this, it's a date.

Parrish: We're going to make it through this, Lydia. I promise.

Lydia: I know. [her eyes stare out over the ocean for a moment, before she glances down at her hands resting over his] It's just kind of hard to see past it right now.

Parrish: Then let's just focus on today. And enjoy each day as it happens.

Lydia: I try to. I do. [she doesn't want to feel like this all the time] But then I see Alyssa's face in my head and I just ... [her eyes close as she shakes her head] I shouldn't be enjoying things when she can't and it's my fault.

Parrish: Do you think she would want you to give up your life because some psycho took hers?

Lydia: She can't want anything anymore. She's dead! [and with that she pulls away just enough to turn and face him] And he's just going to keep killing people until he figures out how much I can take without breaking. And I'm not sure it's much more than this.

Parrish: Hey, Lydia, calm down. [and he's going to cup her face with his hands] I'm going to find this asshole, I swear.

Lydia: Or he'll find me first, and maybe that's for the best.

Parrish: I'm not going to let him get you.

Lydia: And I'm not going to let him go through you.

Parrish: I'd rather he did, because I don't want to be the one left behind if you give up and let him have you.

Lydia: [and her face crumples as she pulls back] So you'd rather it be me instead? And have to live with the fact that he killed you and it's my fault. That's just ... great. [and with that she'll turn and walk away, heading back up the beach]

Parrish: Lydia. That's not what I meant. [and he's going to chase after her]

Lydia: [she doesn't stop, sand caking around her wet feet as she makes her way back to the sidewalk, before turning and facing him] Sometimes I get this ... feeling, right before it happens. Where I know a little more before I zone out about what I'm walking into. Sometimes it's how or why ... and sometimes it's who. I wouldn't make it if it was you. Losing you like that would kill me too.

Parrish: Well good, because that makes two of us. Because I would go out of my mind if I lost you and couldn't do anything to stop it.

Lydia: [she sighs softly, before taking another step closer] But sometimes ... I need you to trust me. That I know what I'm doing, even if it doesn't seem like it. Because I don't want to put you through that either. [she's not suicidal. at least not with any warning signs that she can recognize]

Parrish: Then you tell me a way that this ends with you safe and the madman behind bars, and I'll back you, I swear, Lydia.

Lydia: I don't know yet. [the problem is, she doesn't think there is anymore. This doesn't end until he's dead, but she can't drag him into that, not with his job] But just ... trust me. Please?

Parrish: I do trust you. But I need you to trust me too.

Lydia: I do. More than I trust ... pretty much anyone but Allison.

Parrish: Then please, just trust me to at least try to find a way to come at it from my end too. I promise I won't do anything reckless, or without telling you. I just can't sit back and not try to protect you.

Lydia: [she knows. She knows he can't. And part of her wonders if maybe that's a good thing. He's distracted with whatever plan he's making which gives her time to go and do what she needs to do] Okay.

Parrish: Okay. [he took another step closer, holding out his hand to her] Come on, let's go home.

Lydia: [she sighs, before nodding and taking his hand. Home definitely sounds good right about now]

Parrish: [and home they go]

Lydia: [yep, where she will curl up with him in bed and try not to seem too much like she's thinking]

Parrish: [he may be willing to try and distract her in the bed]

Lydia: [distractions you say? She is very interested in distractions.]

Parrish: [then it's a good thing he's good at distractions with his bare chest and his gentle kisses]

Lydia: [yes there are very good distractions. She is very fond of his bare chest and definitely gentle kisses]

Parrish: [and he is fond of her touching that chest and the sounds she makes with those kisses against her skin]

Lydia: [he definitely gets a lot of those sounds because they haven't done this in a while]

Parrish: [and he really just wants to bring the day back to being as good of a day as it had been at dinner, and wanting her to smile again, and feel special like that again in his arms]

Lydia: [and for the most part it's working, and the further he goes, the more responsive she gets to his advances]

Parrish: [oh, he's going to go as far as she will let him, teasing her out of her clothes, getting his off, and when he's ready sliding deep inside of her]

Lydia: [which is when he gets the best noises out of her, really, muffled by her kissing him as her hips rock up to meet his]

Parrish: [and he's going to take his time, starting slow, making love to her before they both need to go harder, faster, just needing to get lost in the sensations]

Lydia: [which will lead to her clawing at his back as she gets closer to the edge, nails digging into his shoulders as she falls over the edge]

Parrish: [which sends him over as well, thrusting hard into her before he starts to come down, leaning over her and panting, his eyes giving that faint orange glow he got when he orgasmed.]

Lydia: [she looks up at those for a moment, hand brushing against his cheekbones gently]

Parrish: [taking a few deep breaths] We also need to do this more often.

Lydia: [she nods with a breathless smile] Yeah, definitely.

Parrish: [and he's going to smile and lean down, kissing her]

Lydia: [kisses him back gently, just sinking into him]

Parrish: [smiles, sucking on her lower lip] Think you can go another round?

Lydia: [she hums softly, thinking for a moment, before nodding] I think I might have one more in me.

Parrish: Good. [he kisses her again, rolling them to get her on top]

Lydia: [there's an eep! as she goes, settling on top of him with a smirk] Oh, so I have to do all the work this time?

Parrish: I thought you liked having some control in this? [smirks]

Lydia: [she rolls her eyes, before shifting back so that she's looking down at him, letting her fingers trail over his chest] I suppose I do.

Parrish: Plus I kinda like watching you take charge. [hands sliding up her ribs]

Lydia: Mmmmm. I'm sure you do. [her hair gets swept to one side as she leans in to kiss him again, light and teasing as her hands trail down his chest]

Parrish: [and nope, he's going to groan and just enjoy his girl riding him]

Lydia: [she's not going to go fast, either. she's going to take her time, moving her hips slowly and languidly as she continues to kiss him, clearly aiming to drive him crazy]

Parrish: [oh, yeah she's totally doing that, his fingers gripping into her hips, trying to give him some leverage to push in deeper]

Lydia: [nope, none of that. She's going to keep her leverage and keep moving as slow as she likes]

Parrish: You're going to drive me crazy.

Lydia: That was the point. [smirks as she leans in closer to kiss him again] What're you going to do about it?

Parrish: [he smirked, and got a good grip on her hips and thrust up hard into her]

Lydia: [there's a sharp, aborted sound at that as she pushes her hips down to pin him down against the bed more]

Parrish: [rotates his hips around, trying to get deeper]

Lydia: [and that will make her pull up, just a little - not enough to give him leverage but enough to tease him more]

Parrish: You're not playing fair.

Lydia: You never said I had to play fair.

Parrish: No, but I don't either then.

Lydia: I did ask you what you were going to do about it.

Parrish: [grins, and he's going to push himself to sit up, going to kiss her and shifting them so that he was sitting on the edge of the bed, her in his lap]

Lydia: [loses her focus for a moment as she kisses him back, humming softly at the press of his chest against hers]

Parrish: [and he's going to slide one hand down to cup her ass, guiding her to grind against him in a pace they both will enjoy]

Lydia: [she lets him take the lead, rocking her hips back down against his as she continues to kiss him back eagerly]

Parrish: [and yup, just going to grind up into her, pulling her into him, wanting to get deeper]

Lydia: [she keeps rocking into him, breaking the kiss once she absolutely has to and letting her lips drag against his jaw and neck]

Parrish: [tilts his head back, getting a better foot plant on the ground and starts to just get hard and fast into her, getting them to the end]

Lydia: [it doesn't take much longer for her to fall over the edge again, exhaling slowly and letting her forehead drop down against his shoulder]

Parrish: [and he goes with her, pulling her close to his body as he does to, panting against her shoulder and neck] God I love you.

Lydia: [she smiles at that, settling in closer] I love you too.

Parrish: [and he will kiss her back, fingers sliding up to tangle in her hair]

Lydia: [sighs as she leans up into him, just wanting to keep that closeness with him]
