Esposito: [waking up, looking over at her] I take it telling you to go home and get some sleep is not gonna happen, huh?

Laura: [glances over with a small smile and shakes her head] Nope.

Esposito: That has to be uncomfortable sitting there.

Laura: [she shrugs] I've sat in worse.

Esposito: How long was I out?

Laura: A few hours. How're you feeling?

Esposito: [going to sit up and coughing a bit] Like I need a weeks’ worth of sleep, and a reminder why I should never start smoking.

Laura: [gets up and moves closer, grabbing the remote to help him sit up more easily] Well, once we get you out of here we can work on the sleep part.

Esposito: Yeah, like we do a lot of sleeping in your bed. [trying to be smooth]

Laura: [she laughs all the same] We get some sleep.

Esposito: Only when you've pushed me to the point of exhaustion and I need it.

Laura: Well, I think I can control myself.

Esposito: You sure about that? I like it when you're a bit wild.

Laura: I'd rather make sure you're better first. [one hand comes up to brush against the top of his head]

Esposito: A little smoke isn't going to keep me down long. [smirks] They'll probably let me out today anyway.

Laura: Then I'll take you home and we'll figure it out there.

Esposito: You know, at this rate I should probably just sublet my place and move in with you.

Laura: [pauses, then shrugs] I can't say I would complain, if that's what you want. I'm pretty sure Peter is going to be moving in with Nadia, and Kate and Derek will probably want a place of their own. So if you don't mind living with a bunch of college kids ...

Esposito: Well, I'll admit your place is a lot nicer than mine. And it's not like I'm already there a lot.

Laura: [she nods] It'd be nice for it to be our place. [her thumb brushes against his forehead as he looks at her] For it to be home.

Esposito: [he smiles up at her at that] I'd like that.

Laura: [she nods] Good. I'll just have to talk to Cora, Stiles and Malia and make sure they'll be okay with it. Not that I think they won’t, but I think it'd be nice to have a customary heads up.

Esposito: You can tell them I will take my turn with the household chores.

Laura: I'm sure they will appreciate that.

Esposito: Of course. They're still kids. Getting out of chores is always a bonus.

Laura: Very true.

Esposito: Plus it will keep the alpha distracted from their lives a bit more. I'm sure that's a big bonus.

Laura: Yeah, well, if one of my sisters winds up pregnant, I'll know who to blame.

Esposito: Yes, the boy who forgot what a condom was.

Laura: Uh-huh.

Esposito: Though it's a modern age - the girls should know better too. So both of them would be to blame really.

Laura: Yeah, but if the condom happened to break, it's not entirely their fault. Werewolves can't do birth control - our metabolisms burn through it too quickly.

Esposito: ... Now you tell me.

Laura: [she laughs] We've been fine so far.

Esposito: Yeah, but who are you going to blame if you get pregnant?

Laura: [her head tips to the side] Nature and bad luck? We're careful otherwise.

Esposito: Then you can't blame the kids anymore then us if it happens. Unless they go without, then you totally blame them. But it's not my fault if they get knocked up. It's not like you're standing in their rooms when they are going at it.

Laura: [makes a face] God, no. [then she pauses for a moment, her hand still resting against the top of his head] Would it be a bad thing if there was an accident, though?

Esposito: [there's a bit or confusion in his face] Depends on who has the accident, I guess…

Laura: With us.

Esposito: ...... [he's just speechless. Not really sure what to say. But the look on his face is not an outright no or are you crazy. Just confused as where this is coming from]

Laura: [it's not something she's given a whole lot of consideration to, really. It's mostly been an idle thought here and there, but since it was the relevant subject, she wanted to know if this is something he wants with her. She can see is silence isn't a bad thing, but she pauses, before shaking her head] Never mind. Forget it.

Esposito: Why don't we come back to this topic when I'm not in the hospital? Alright? [because he's not going to forget it. He just needs time to process when he's not half concussed]

Laura: Yeah. Of course. Bad timing.

Esposito: Plus girl.... if we're gonna have a kid - he ain't going to be an accident. [and there is a smirk there]

Laura: [she laughs] And what makes you think it's going to be a he?

Esposito: It's a 50/50 chance.

Laura: Yeah, but I come from a very long line of matriarchal alpha werewolves.

Esposito: And there's no saying when we do start, we stop at one.

Laura: No, there isn't.

Esposito: [and that's about the time the nurse comes in to check on them, and letting them know that the doctor is going to see him next to check on his condition]

Laura: [and Laura will step back to let them do their thing, letting the baby talk slide for now]

Esposito: [and when the doctor comes in, he clears Espo to leave but tells Laura to monitor his breathing and if the coughing doesn't ease in another day or two, to bring him back. They will send the precinct notice for a week leave for medical so that he can rest.]

Laura: [which she will take very seriously, sorry Espo. But once he's cleared to leave, she wants out of here just as much as he does] Ready to go home?

Esposito: More than ready. I hate being in the hospital. [sitting up, thanking the nurse for clean scrubs since his clothes were pretty much done]

Laura: [she wouldn't have wanted to put him back in those anyway. The fact that he smells like smoke still is already making her twitchy. she reaches for his hand and nods] Then let's go home.

Esposito: [takes it, and he may lean on her a bit as they go just because he's still a bit light headed, but otherwise he will let her lead the way. And the first thing he's doing when he gets home is taking a long, hot shower]

Laura: [yes. Good. She will let him go first and curl up in bed after she changes her clothes and ... might pass out a bit while she waits for him to get out]

Esposito: [he's going to be hungry when he's done, and once he sees she's asleep, he will just sneak into the kitchen to make himself something to eat]

Laura: [she won't doze long, coming out of it when she hears that the water's stopped running, and will rub her eyes before making her way out to look for him]

Esposito: [and there he is, making a sandwich] Sorry, I was starving.

Laura: [shakes her head] It's okay. [goes to sit on the stool by the bar] I didn't mean to fall asleep.

Esposito: I figured that, but you looked so peaceful I didn't want to wake you up.

Laura: [small smile as she rests her chin in her hand] Thanks, I think.

Esposito: [coughs a bit as he goes to sit down next to her] So think I can hire you as my personal nurse for the next week?

Laura: Fortunately for you, my schedule is wide open.

Esposito: Good.

Laura: Good. And we'll have you back in fighting shape in no time.

Esposito: What kind of physical therapy you have in plan, nurse?

Laura: I'm thinking a lot of bed rest.

Esposito: Well, that was the doctor's orders.

Laura: But we'll still want to make sure you get your cardio in.

Esposito: [leans in a bit] But I probably need to not exert myself too much. You know, might get dizzy if I'm up too long...

Laura: We'll make sure you get your proper rest too.

Stiles: [coming in the door, having heard that last bit as he was working on his keys] I seriously don't want to know about your little nurse patient roleplaying you got going on over there. Going right to my room. [and he's already heading for the stairs]

Esposito: Hello to you too, Stiles.

Laura: [laughs] Goodnight, Stiles.

Stiles: You two behave now. Impressionable children in the loft. [and his door closes]

Esposito: [laughs]

Laura: Says the boy who corrupted my sister. [rolls her eyes]

Stiles: [soundproof doors mean he didn't hear that]

Esposito: He's obviously doing better.

Laura: [she nods] Yeah. I think being my second suits him.

Esposito: I take it that means he's sticking here after graduation?

Laura: I think so. Between the pack and Cora I think he's figured out how to make this home.

Esposito: That's good. Things felt awkward in that time he wasn't here. He's really a part of this family.

Laura: Yeah, he is. I'm pretty sure he's going to try and get Cora to marry him very soon too.

Esposito: Let me guess - Alexis and Hal making him see wedding bells?

Laura: I think he's been thinking about it since before Hal proposed but things were more complicated then.

Esposito: You think you're ready for your baby sister getting married?

Laura: [she smiles a bit before nodding] If it'll make her happy, yeah.

Esposito: [nods] Good. I think you guys deserve to be happy. After everything you've gone through.

Laura: We have been through an excessive amount of shit, haven't we?

Esposito: You have. Time for the hand to swing in the other direction for a change.

Laura: From your lips to God's ears.

Esposito: Well, me and God, we're tight. I'm sure homeboy will look out for you.

Laura: [she laughs] I'll take your word for it.

Esposito: [finishes his sandwich] So, back to the whole nurse/patient roleplaying?

Laura: [she nods in agreement] To bed with you. We need to make sure you get your rest.

Esposito: Yes ma'am.

Laura: [and back to bed they will go! And as she climbs into bed next to him, she will pull him in for a long kiss]

Esposito: [and he will groan, enjoying that kiss and letting her climb on top of him since he's supposed to be on his back resting]

Laura: [and she will happily take that invitation, straddling his waist and moving closer, only breaking the kiss when she's nice and close] I love you.

Esposito: I love you too, girl. More than I ever thought I ever would.

Laura: [that makes her chest clench slightly, as she leans in to kiss him again, just as deeply and staying close]

Esposito: [yeah, he's all in for her at this point. He can't think of any reason not to be at her side at this point]

Laura: [she's very grateful for that because she doesn't know what she would do without him. She doesn't really need a wedding or anything fancy like that, she just wants to know he's there when she needs him and he's always going to be there.]

Esposito: [oh, he will be there for her. He doesn't plan on going anywhere anytime soon. Hence the whole moving in]

Laura: [yep. all good steps. She may not be jumping into engagements like her brother but they're still moving towards something which is the important thing]

Esposito: [yup. and right now, he's happy to just bit moving towards a little somthin-somethin.]

Laura: [oh, there will definitely be a little somethin-somethin. He almost died and she is definitely going to show how appreciative she is that he's alive]

Esposito: [just take it easy on him, baby. he's still a bit sore]

Laura: [she will take her time and go easy save for the end, as her human teeth sink into his shoulder, marking him as hers]

Esposito: [groans, arching up a bit at that] Someone's being a bad nurse

Laura: [she smirks briefly at that, before leaning over and pressing a kiss to that spot instead] Better?

Esposito: [groans happily] So much so. This prescription is amazing.

Laura: [she laughs softly as she shifts off him, dropping onto her side of the bed with a sigh, before curling in closer]

Esposito: Nap time now?

Laura: [she nods, closing her eyes as she relaxes] Nap time.

Esposito: [and he will wrap one arm around her, keeping Laura nice and close.]

Laura: [she settles and she's back asleep again not long after, finally succumbing completely to the sleep she needs]

Esposito: [and he's going to join her in that restful healing sleep]

Laura: [so much sleep. they desperately need it]
