new york wolves } { of thanksgiving and homecomings

Cora: [reaches over and gives his hand a squeeze] It's only for a few hours. He'll be okay.

Stiles: I know. He's just so pitiful.

Cora: Yes, but think about how happy he'll be to see you when you get back.

Stiles: True. And how fast I will need to get him outside.

Cora: He will be very happy to go for his walk, that is for sure.

Stiles: Oh, I'm sure. [takes her hand] So do you know if we're pilgrims or Indians this year?

Cora: I think the Masons are still the pilgrims, but the Hales are getting split between the two. Do you know when your dad gets in?

Stiles: [pulls out his phone] Well, I've got his flight tracker saying he's in the air and on time. Peter is waiting for him at the airport and they will meet us there before dinner is due to be served as long as traffic doesn't suck.

Cora: Perfect. So all we have to do is find our costumes and get over there.

Stiles: One day I think we should convince Hal and Alexis to rebel with us and we show up in like, dinosaur outfits.

Cora: [she laughs] Dinosaurs were here first.

Stiles: Totally. And the Indians rode them to the first Thanksgiving.

Cora: It's only right that they should be represented.

Stiles: Exactly.

Cora: But you know that once that happens, it will be opened up for space aliens, and we might just lose control of Thanksgiving entirely.

Stiles: Would that be a bad thing?

Cora: Have you met Castle?

Stiles: A few times, yes.

Cora: So what makes you think that he has any kind of self-control?

Stiles: ..... I never thought he did?

Cora: If we let him go nuts, Thanksgiving will not just feature dinosaurs but also aliens, the boogeyman and who knows what else and Peter will refuse to go to dinner.

Stiles: [and as they are looking for their costumes, he pulls out a T-shirt] We could have him wear this? [it's a grey shirt that says "this is my costume"]

Cora: [she laughs] I'm sure that would go over very well.

Stiles: It's worth a try.

Cora: We'll pitch it to him at dinner.

Stiles: Which we should get going to.

Cora: Yes, we should. [reaches down to pat Barron's head as she does] Keep an eye on Bucky. Make sure he isn't too sad. [they'll probably come home to Barron sitting dutifully outside the puppy's gate when they get home. Or possibly the gate bowled over by a giant dog. We just don't know]

Stiles: [Bucky will be curled up with Barron because best big brother ever]

Cora: [yep. Adorable. but off they go to the Castles!]

Peter: [and about two hours later, there will be a door opening and Peter & the Sheriff will be entering the Castle house. They had stopped to drop their bags off at the Hale house to find it empty, and continued on] Happy Thanksgiving.

Stiles: Dad! [and yup, he's up and off to hug his father tightly]

Laura: [and will get up from the table to go hug her uncle] Welcome back.

Derek: [yup, squeezing Kate's hand a moment as he gets up to go and join the Hale reunion]

Peter: [hugs her back, nuzzling her cheek] It's good to be home. I've missed you all so much.

Laura: [closes her eyes as she leans into the hug] We missed you too. Did you have a good flight?

Peter: Long, but the luxury of the Krisanov private jet is that there is a bed so we can sleep.

Laura: Always a bonus. [and after that, she'll pull back to give Derek some room] You'll have to tell us all about your trip at dinner.

Peter: Oh, I will. And I'm going to be crashing at the loft tonight at least, so we can catch up later tonight as well. [and he will go hug Derek, catching up with his nephew as Derek guides him back towards the table.]

Sheriff: Okay, kid I need to breath and you hug like a vice. [pushing Stiles away a bit and laughing]

Castle: [walking over with drinks since he knows the routine already] Glad you both could make it. You're welcome to join me and Tom on the couch of father figures while Rebecca and Martha finish up in the kitchen.

Malia: You let Martha near the food? [blunt as ever]

Martha: [from the kitchen] Don't worry, Malia, I'm only drinking the wine.

Laura: I think I'm going to head in there myself, just in case.

Rebecca: I would appreciate that, Laura. Though Richard and I got most of this made early in the morning and it's just warming most of it up at this point.

Laura: Still, an extra set of hands with this amount of food is always a good thing. [and into the kitchen she goes]

Peter: [and he will let Derek guide him over to where Espo and Kate are] So, I believe I owe you both a congratulations.

Beckett: [points to Espo] His are much more exciting than mine.

Peter: Well, still. You are both going to be family soon. That is a big thing. Though I still believe I'm entitled to glaring at you marrying my niece while I was out of the country.

Esposito: She's just as guilty of it as I am.

Beckett: Hey, the only person who got told about this before it happened was Malia, and that's because she was there. I think we're all entitled to a little glaring.

Castle: [yup, going to not say anything over on this side of the room]

Esposito: Yeah, well you're going to be stuck with me since we're marrying siblings. You'll forgive me eventually.

Beckett: Doesn't mean we can't take our time.

Esposito: [rolls his eyes] Whatever. You want another drink, Kate? I think I need to go walk off the lingering scent of judgment.

Peter: [laughs]

Beckett: [laughs as she nods] Sure, Javi. Thanks.

Esposito: [and he will slide into the kitchen, stopping for a moment to lean over and kiss his wife]

Derek: [goes to take the spot Espo left behind and snuggle back up with his fiancée]

Beckett: [leans into him, before turning back to Peter] So tell us, how was London?

Peter: It was wonderful. So much culture, and you can see the history just walking the streets from the architecture and the differences that come just from street to street.

Beckett: I haven't been back there since I was in college and got to study abroad. I was in Paris, so it was only for a few days but I loved the energy there.

Peter: Nadia was in heaven working at the museums. I did some traveling through with the trains. Spent a week in Paris. It was lovely.

Beckett: I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Peter: But now that the exhibit is done, I'm back for a while. Though I will admit I'm going to miss it.

Beckett: Did Nadia come back with you?

Peter: Yes, she is spending the day with her brothers. I don't think she is ready yet to fully embrace a Richard Castle holiday.

Martha: [comes in with her glass of wine and makes her way to sit next to Peter] Then that is her loss.

Peter: Next year I'm sure I can convince her. [leans over to kiss Martha's cheek]

Martha: [smiles a bit at that] You certainly have more than enough charm for it.

Peter: Well, I do try.

Laura: [and eventually she pokes her head out of the kitchen where the food is set up buffet style because there is not enough room in the castle penthouse to set up a table big enough] Alright, food's up!

Matt: About time! [teenage boy is starving.]

Stiles: [and he will stop talking his father's ear off and all the men will head over to get food, but of course letting the women make their plates. The wolves at least know to wait until the end so that the humans get their fill. What are these leftovers you speak of?]

Cora: [and eventually she will wrench herself out of the crowd of people with her plate, plopping on the couch to dig in to her meal. Mmmm turkey.]

Peter: [and since he's still waiting, he's going to come over and lean down to kiss the top of her head] Hello, sweetheart.

Cora: [glances up with a smile] Hey, Uncle Peter.

Peter: How have you been?

Cora: Good. I just have a couple more credits to finish up and then I get to start at MIT in January.

Peter: You find a place to stay yet out that way?

Cora: [she nods] Yep. There's an apartment close to campus that usually gets leased to the grad students, so I should be set.

Peter: And is Stiles...?

Cora: Stiles is staying here. But Laura is getting him a car for graduation so he can drive back and forth.

Peter: [nods] I'm sure he will be doing that often. Everything else good?

Cora: Yep. [she considers for a moment] He also got a puppy.

Peter: Oh really? How did Barron take to that?

Cora: So far so good. They seem to be getting along really well.

Peter: Good, good.

Stiles: [comes over to sit with Cora now that he has his plate as well] What are we talking about?

Cora: Bucky and Barron.

Stiles: Oh. Yeah, you're going to love Bucky, Peter. He's a tiny hyperactive ball of energy.

Peter: Which takes after his master, I'm sure.

Cora: Well, they do say dogs reflect their owners.

Peter: Then I hope you have a lot of patience, Cora. For both their sakes.

Stiles: Yeah, I missed you too, Peter.

Peter: [smiles and rubs Cora's shoulder as he goes off to finally make his own plate and hopefully join his daughter]

Cora: [smiles as she shifts and leans into Stiles a bit] I think we'll manage.

Malia: [is sitting cross-legged against one of the walls with her pile of turkey and potatoes smothered in gravy. who needs vegetables]

Peter: [and he has his well-balanced plate and slides down along the wall to sit next to her] Now that I've said hello to everyone else, I figure I can spend some time with you.

Malia: [glances over with a small smile] Hey. Welcome back.

Peter: Thank you. How have you been? [and he will eat as they talk]

Malia: Okay. Landon and I had a good summer season.

Peter: I heard. Laura sent me a few videos of your competitions.

Malia: [she glances up, surprised] She did?

Peter: Of course. I wanted to see you dance.

Malia: [part of her is pleased with that, and her eyes dropped to her food] We did okay.

Peter: You did more than okay. The one in Atlantic City was remarkable.

Malia: [she still doesn't really know how to handle praise, so she just brushes it off and changes the subject slightly] That's the one where Laura got married.

Peter: I figured. I heard that you were her cover story that got her down there.

Malia: [she nods] Yep. Her and Javi, Landon, Rick and Detective Ryan.

Peter: Oh, so Castle attended as well? [looks up at the other man]

Malia: [nods, not even realizing what she's saying before she said it] Yep. He gave her away.

Peter: [yeah, he's going to have a talk with Castle later] Was it nice at least?

Malia: Yeah, it was fun. Elvis married them.

Peter: Of course he did. [chuckles] Someone got pictures, I know.

Malia: [nods] There's a whole album. It's back at the loft.

Peter: Good. I will have to look at it later.

Malia: [she nods as she goes back to eating. She's quiet for a while before she speaks again] Did you have a good time with Nadia?

Peter: I did. Though she spent a lot of time at work so I was mostly on my own during the days exploring the city.

Malia: Did you like it there?

Peter: It was different. Nice, and welcoming. But it wasn't home.

Malia: [that eases a feeling she couldn't quite put a name on] So you're gonna be here for a while?

Peter: Yes, for the foreseeable future.

Malia: [nods slowly, before taking another bite of her potatoes] Good.

Peter: How's school?

Malia: It's good. I'm set to graduate in May.

Peter: Have you been thinking about what you want to do after school is over?

Malia: Landon wants to try and get on Dancing with the Stars. [she makes a face before shaking her head] I'm not really good for TV though. [she's too blunt, too aggressive. Too many things go over her head, and she doesn't really want another partner] I've thought about teaching though.

Peter: Well, even if he gets on it, he'll always need a partner to help with teaching whatever star he ends up with, right? [he knows how close they were]

Malia: Maybe. But ... I don't want that kind of attention. It's weird.

Peter: Do you think you'd be happy teaching?

Malia: [she shrugs] Verity lets me do the little kid classes sometimes. Those are fun.

Peter: But is it what you really want? Or do you want to dance?

Malia: [frowns, confused] It is dancing. It's just with tinier partners.

Peter: It's teaching still. I was thinking more like dancing on a stage.

Malia: Oh. I never cared about that. [she gives a small shrug] I did that to do it with Landon.

Peter: So you wouldn't want to try and get into a dance company, or audition for a Broadway show?

Malia: [she shrugs] Broadway shows are kind of boring. You're doing the same dance all the time. But with the kids it's something new all the time.

Peter: [nods] As long as it makes you happy. That's what matters.

Malia: [looks up at him, confused] If it didn't make me happy, I wouldn't do it.

Peter: A lot of people do things for other reasons beyond happiness.

Malia: Oh. Well, that's not why I'm doing this.

Peter: You're doing it because it makes you happy.

Malia: Yeah.

Peter: Good. Don't ever compromise.

Malia: I don't plan to.

Peter: [grins, because that's his girl. and he will go back to eating his food]

Malia: [and she will finish up her plate before looking back to him] Are you going to go back to working at the library?

Peter: I'm not sure yet.

Malia: Do you not want to be there?

Peter: No, I liked my job, but it wasn't really something I did because I loved it. I did it more to look like a respectable person while helping raise you kids.

Malia: So you want to find something you love instead?

Peter: Yeah. And I have a few ideas.

Malia: Like what?

Peter: I used to draw when I was younger. I got a chance to start again while I was in London, and I think I may try to get back into that again. We already have an art studio after all.

Malia: [she nods] Cool.

Peter: Plus, I'm thinking I may ask Nadia to marry me.

Malia: [her eyebrows go up] And that means you shouldn't get a job?

Peter: Nadia's job involves a lot of travel. It wouldn't be fair to a job I had if I would leave a lot for short trips.

Malia: So being married means you need to go with her on all her trips?

Peter: Being with her, yes. But not always. Just the trips I want to go on.

Malia: Don't you get vacation time or something?

Peter: Yeah, but I won't have to wake up early anymore. Just do what I want, when I want to.

Malia: What if you do all of that and have nothing to do? I mean, Rick did that and he got so bored he became a cop. [... no, Malia, that isn't what he did]

Peter: [chuckles] Well, if I get bored, I'm sure I could ask Richard for a job with him.

Malia: [she shrugs] Whatever you say.

Peter: [he watched her a moment] How's Jeremy?

Malia: [deep breath] Good. He went back to Virginia with his sister to see his aunt.

Peter: You two still together?

Malia: [she still doesn't see it as "together" in the traditional sense, but he's still hers, so she nods. Then she makes a face] He wants me to come home with him in December for this tree lighting thing.

Peter: Do you want to go?

Malia: Tyler's dad isn't like Victor.

Peter: That is true. Richard Lockwood has a reputation.

Malia: He's weird about letting other wolves onto his territory, even with permission. Hard to see he'd be okay with a coyote, especially considering he hates the Hales.

Peter: [thinks] Do you want some backup?

Malia: What do you mean?

Peter: You don't have to go alone if you are worried.

Malia: I don't think bringing more pack members will make it better.

Peter: Well, you can make the excuse since I'm your father. That way it's more family, less backup

Malia: I don't know. I haven't said yes or no yet.

Peter: [nods] Well, it's an option.

Malia: Okay. I'll let you know.

Peter: Okay. [and he finished his plate] I'm going to grab some seconds. Want me to get you anything?

Malia: [she shakes her head] I'm saving room for pie.

Peter: Good plan. I haven't eaten so I've got more than enough room. [and he will go up and get more food]

Malia: [and she will stay by the wall and turn things over in her head some more. There are too many people here that she doesn't know as well, and by too many people she means too many Masons]

Hal: [one of which is making playful faces at Alexis at their dads debate history]

Alexis: [laughs a bit as one of them catches her by surprise] You are going to make me choke on my turkey.

Hal: Well, then I'll just have to give you some mouth to mouth and save you.

Alexis: If I'm choking, you need to give me the Heimlich.

Hal: Well, that too.

Alexis: [she laughs] Good to know you know how to save me in a crisis.

Hal: Worse comes to worse, I call 911, right?

Alexis: I can at least count on that.

Hal: Good. [grins as he eats another bite of turkey]

Alexis: [grins as she leans back in the couch] So ... we have to talk about Christmas.

Hal: I know. Dad's still wanting us to be out there for Christmas day.

Alexis: Maybe we can convince my dad and Gram to come with us? I mean, it wouldn't be a big deal for two more people, right?

Hal: Oh god, no. I mean, we'd probably have to get a hotel then but I'm sure your dad wouldn't mind. Otherwise my brothers are going to end up sleeping in the same room and may try and murder me in my sleep.

Alexis: [she laughs] Oh, no, Gram would make Dad spring for a hotel.

Martha: You're damn right I would.

Hal: [looks over at Martha and smiles] Good to know.

Alexis: [smirks as Martha sits across from them] Gram always liked to travel in style.

Martha: We're talking about Boston, aren't we? I know this lovely little hotel in Boston I used to visit all the time when I was on tour.

Hal: Alexis and I were thinking that we could maybe have all of you up to Boston for Christmas. Of course, that's if my parents are okay with it.

Rebecca: [sliding in next to Martha] Of course we're okay with it.

Martha: Oh, that would be lovely. It's only fair, after all, since you come all the way up here for Thanksgiving.

Rebecca: And we won't have to worry about Ben or Matt with in laws on their side for a while, so may as well enjoy the easy holiday schedules while we can, right?

Hal: [leans over] I think we're good.

Alexis: [she nods with a smile] Sounds perfect.

Sheriff: [coming to join Cora and Stiles] So, Cora... will you be coming out with Stiles for Christmas this year?

Cora: I ... don't know. [she pauses because she doesn't want to disappoint him but] ... Probably not this year. I have a lot to get ready for before I move to Boston and I'd have to leave pretty close to the start of the year.

Stiles: Yeah, so you'll have my complete undivided attention.

Sheriff: You sure I can't convince you differently? For my own sanity?

Cora: [she laughs] Really, I wish I could, but I don't think it's going to happen. I'm sorry.

Sheriff: Next year then, I hope. Though I mean, I do understand if you don't want to. You probably want a vacation from him too. [he knows the real reason, his smile says it all]

Cora: [she shakes her head] I'm going to be without him soon enough. If I could go, I would.

Sheriff: Well, I did manage to negotiate five days from Laura for custody, so we'll just have to find things to do.

Stiles: I'm sure Scott will want to pitch in for ideas.

Sheriff: Oh, I'm sure he will.

Cora: And just think, by the time you're done, you'll be so sick of each other that it'll tide you over until the next time you see him.

Sheriff: That's usually the way it goes.

Stiles: Hey, I'm a joy to be around.

Derek: [coughs from across the room]

Cora: [grins at him as she leans over to kiss his cheek] I love you, but you are as hyperactive as your puppy.

Sheriff: I can't believe you all let him get one.

Stiles: [smiles] We're not that bad. And Dad, you're going to love him.

Cora: He's actually really good with him. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Sheriff: I hope so. That poor boa...

Stiles: Hey, Fluffy led a good life.

Cora: Dogs are also easier for us. There's ... a connection, kind of?

Sheriff: If that's true, I should have gotten him a sloth as a kid.

Stiles: I'm sitting right here.

Cora: [she laughs] They'll be good. You'll see.

Sheriff: I'm sure. Just don't start telling him in his grandpa.

Cora: [will not say anything about all the future dog children he is going to have before he gets actual grandchildren]

Stiles: You better get used to the title sooner or later.

Cora: But more later than sooner. [just ... putting that out there. no surprise babies happening here]

Peter: [good]

Sheriff: You two are young. You have plenty of time.

Cora: [she nods] Yeah, we're not rushing. [besides, Malia's the more likely of the two to have an oops baby, sorry Peter]

Peter: [DENIAL]

Stiles: Cora has to finish school first. More than enough time for Laura and Derek to enjoy the baby spotlight.

Cora: [you do that, Peter] Which I'm sure they will enjoy quite a bit, considering Laura's already gotten that started.

Sheriff: So I heard.

Cora: We'll have more than enough little ones to run around after.

Stiles: And Bucky will help herd them when he's bigger.

Cora: He and Barron can take shifts.

Sheriff: The pup will learn from the best.

Stiles: [shakes his head, going to get up] I need a drink refill. Dad, Cora?

Cora: [shakes her head] I'm good.

Sheriff: Same.

Stiles: [and he will get up, avoiding around Peter because he can feel that judging look and head into the kitchen]

Cora: [and she will watch him go before leaning back into the couch] I'm glad you could make it. [to New York]

Sheriff: As am I. I'm trying to get used to the idea of him living on this coast permanently. Debating on my options.

Cora: [curious look at that] What kind of options?

Sheriff: Retiring and moving out this way.

Cora: [her eyebrows go up a bit, before she shifts, inching a bit closer to try and keep the conversation between them and away from the wolf ears in the room] I think Stiles would love having you here. But if you're not ready to retire, I know they're looking for a new detective at the twelfth. [it's probably a step down from being the sheriff, but it's still doing the job, with less pressure] Detective Beckett is leaving to become Special Agent Beckett.

Sheriff: I've heard stories about what goes on in the city. I may be a Sheriff, Cora, but I'm still from a small town. I'm not cut out for the things they see on a weekly basis.

Cora: [she gives a small shrug] It's up to you. But you'd be partnered with my brother and I'm sure he would walk you through it. And Rick and Javier would be there too.

Sheriff: Surprisingly, Rick's already trying to recruit me to work at his PI firm.

Cora: Really? You get that he likes ... all the weird cases right?

Sheriff: You realize who my son is again?

Cora: Yeah. Working with Castle is going to be like working with a full grown adult male him forty hours a week.

Sheriff: Hey, he can pay me enough, I have the patience requirement.

Cora: [she smiles] Alright. Just making sure you're sure. And Alexis will be there to talk him down from the really crazy ideas.

Alexis: [as she's passing by] Talk who down?

Cora: Your dad.

Alexis: Oh, definitely.

Sheriff: You think it'll be worth a cross country move to come work for him?

Cora: I definitely think you will not be bored.

Sheriff: I'll think about it. It's options, after all.

Cora: [she nods] Yeah. And he could probably use a more ... grounded partner.

Stiles: [wandering back] and if nothing else, I'm sure you can get a career as a doorman somewhere.

Sheriff: Right, because that's what my career has led to.

Cora: You won't have to resort to doorman.

Stiles: But you get the right complex, and they tip so well. [smirk]

Sheriff: Maybe I should just stay in Beacon Hills.

Cora: That is entirely up to you, Sheriff.

Stiles: No, I want my dad on this coast.

Sheriff: I'll see what happens, kid. There's a lot of history in that house, and who'll make sure Melissa gets food on her breaks.

Stiles: Um, Scott?

Cora: [smirks a bit] We'll see, Stiles.

Stiles: Wishful thinking.

Cora: At least he was thinking about it. Or he was.

Sheriff: We'll see what happens, okay? [and he will pat Stiles on the shoulder and get up to go talk to Rick]

Cora: [and she will glance up at him with a small smile, before pulling him down to sit with her]

Stiles: [and he will just snuggle up with her happily]

Laura: [and as dinner winds down, she is going to start doing dishes while the kitchen is quiet]

Esposito: [and he will be in there helping like the good husband he is]

Laura: [glances over with a smile as she hands him the next plate to dry] Good dinner?

Esposito: Oh yeah. Better than working a double so the other guys can be home with their families.

Laura: Good. Because I'm glad you were here.

Esposito: Well, it's my family now too. Gotta spend time with them.

Laura: Yes, you do. You will now have to attend all holidays, no matter how cheesy.

Esposito: As long as this is the only one that has a costume requirement.

Laura: [she laughs] It is. Except Halloween.

Esposito: Yeah, good luck not having me work on Halloween. This city? Bunch of sickos.

Laura: We need at least one costume for family pictures.

Esposito: I can dress up like Castle.

Laura: [glances back at him and raises an eyebrow]

Esposito: What?

Laura: That's not a costume.

Esposito: Come on, he is a character. [grins]

Laura: I didn't say he wasn't. But that's not a costume.

Esposito: I could dress up as a sexy cop.

Laura: Not a costume. [she sighs as she turns to look at him] A little imagination is required.

Esposito: Oh, there's some imagination going into this. [evil grin]

Laura: [she shakes her head as she leans in to kiss him] You're a sexy cop all the time. Try something new.

Esposito: Eh, I've got eleven months to find something.

Laura: I'm sure you'll come up with something good.

Esposito: We can make it a family costume event. [his hands go to her hips]

Laura: [grins as she leans back against him] That could be fun.

Esposito: It will be. [kisses her shoulder]

Laura: Even get a little tiny baby costume for her. [her hands move over his, before dragging them so that they're resting over her stomach. also there's been no confirmation that the baby is a girl, but she's going to believe it until she's proven wrong] Like a princess or a mouse or a tiger.

Esposito: Yeah, I think I saw one of those little ladybug costumes that'd look cute.

Laura: [grins a bit] Yeah, that'd be perfect.

Esposito: Good. I kinda like this whole perfect thing we got going here.

Laura: [tips her head back to look at him] Me too. I like it a lot.

Castle: [walking in for more wine] And you two are way too sweet for the rest of us.

Laura: [glances over with a smile] Sweet? That's the adjective you're going with?

Castle: Would you rather I suggest you two get a room?

Laura: Oh come on, we're not that bad.

Derek: Yes you are.

Stiles: Totally.

Peter: No comment.

Laura: [rolls her eyes] I would be careful who you start throwing stones at, boys. [she gives the three of them a look] Two of you, I've known a very long time.

Peter: And I've known you before your memories begin, Laura.

Laura: That doesn't mean I can't throw stones back at you, Peter.

Peter: You can try, my dear.

Laura: [she narrows her eyes at him before shaking her head and turning back to her husband] As if they're all not just as bad with their respective girlfriends.

Esposito: They just jealous. Let them be.

Laura: [smiles before leaning in to kiss him]

Derek: [looks at Kate] I think that's our cue to go?

Beckett: [smirks before nodding] Sure. Let's go.

Derek: Family, I will see you later. [he goes to hug Peter] We can catch up away from the girls?

Peter: Send me your schedule and we will find time when you're off duty.

Beckett: [goes to say goodbye to everyone] As always, Castle, Thanksgiving was highly entertaining.

Castle: And as always, I'm honored that you grace us with your presence.

Beckett: [smiles before nodding] Happy Thanksgiving. See you on Monday.

Castle: Yes ma'am.

Derek: [and he has their coats and off they go]
