Ben: Half of those bruises are from him falling down drunk into the stage.
Lindsay: I'm sure they are.
Ben: And from the girl he was groping.
Lindsay: That I believe.
Ben: So what did he say I did?
Lindsay: Interrupted his game.
Ben: Unless he's talking about Pokemon...
Lindsay: With the girl he was groping.
Ben: No, he pretty much ruined his own game.
Lindsay: We gave him some coffee and stuck him in the drunk tank.
Ben: Good.
Lindsay: I'm sure he'll thoroughly regret his actions in the morning.
Ben: Oh, I'm sure.
Lindsay: Probably won't change anything though.
Ben: At least I'll know his face. Tries to come back in here, I'll be watching him.
Lindsay: Good. But I should get back to patrolling.
Ben: See you in the morning?
Lindsay: [nods] Breakfast?
Ben: Of course.
Lindsay: Good. [and back into her car she goes]
Ben: [and back to work he goes, until the place is closed up and he's home at four, crashing on the couch]
Lindsay: [and she will swing in around six, coming in with their usual breakfast from the diner]
Ben: [out cold]
Lindsay: [even when she waves pancakes under your nose?]
Ben: [no, that will get him to stir, licking his lips]
Lindsay: Hungry?
Ben: [opens his eyes, smiling] Always.
Lindsay: Got your favorite.
Ben: This is why I love you.
Lindsay: [grins] Want me to get syrup?
Ben: Sure. [sits up and stretches] I can start some coffee.
Lindsay: [she shakes her head] I'm going to crash after we eat.
Ben: So no coffee. Got it.
Lindsay: Yep. [and into the kitchen she goes to grab the syrup]
Ben: [and he will clear off the coffee table and move to make a spot on the couch next to him]
Lindsay: [which she will settle into and hand off the syrup] Anything else eventful tonight?
Ben: Just more phone numbers to burn.
Lindsay: They really don't understand the whole "I'm taken" thing over there, do they.
Ben: They usually don't care. [chuckles] And you know, what, three years ago? Probably wouldn't have minded. When did I become an actual adult?
Lindsay: Being back in the real word does wonders for you, huh?
Ben: Long as Dean and Sam don't go around messing things up.
Lindsay: I think they're pretty much retired at this point.
Ben: I don't think Dean will ever retire.
Lindsay: I think he wants to, though.
Ben: Yeah, but what's he going to do? Pretty sure retirement will drive him crazy.
Lindsay: He deserves a vacation, at least.
Ben: Oh yeah. Send him out to Hedonism or something.
Lindsay: Do you think he'd actually take it?
Ben: If we drug him and left him there...
Lindsay: I think I'd feel better if he chose it.
Ben: Me too. But we'll have to wait and see.
Lindsay: I guess so.
Ben: I do wish he'd find someone to settle down with.
Lindsay: I think he's glad just to have family around.
Ben: Hopefully the kids won't fly the coup too soon.
Lindsay: Or won't fly too far.
Ben: I don't know about Liv. She's with a guy from Boston.
Lindsay: But her guy spends most of his time in Berkeley.
Ben: For now.
Lindsay: For now. Which is what everyone is worried about, isn't it?
Ben: One of them. I mean, I did fly a bit far myself. Kansas isn't down the street.
Lindsay: No, but he knows where you are, and he does like to drive. And if anything, he's still got Michael.
Ben: Yes. Sam 2.0.
Lindsay: Sam didn't turn out that bad.
Ben: Here. But... yeah even in the end Sam still came through back home.
Lindsay: So you see? Your cousin's in good hands.
Ben: Yeah, I know.
Lindsay: So why so worried?
Ben: Habit?
Lindsay: Fair enough.
Ben: Not that it's going to make me move back. [smiles at her] I like it here more.
Lindsay: [she laughs] Good. I'd be worried if you didn't.
Ben: [and he's going to eat his breakfast now because talking and eating is hard at the same time]
Lindsay: [yep, she'll do the same, and when she's finished she'll stretch a bit] I think it's time for me to pass out.
Ben: Think you can make it to the bed?
Lindsay: [she laughs] I think I could manage. [a beat] What if I said I couldn't?
Ben: Well, there's not a lot of room on this couch. Might be hard to spoon here.
Lindsay: Mmmm. I'm thinking bed is a much better option.
Ben: Me too.
Lindsay: Care to join me?
Ben: Thought you'd never ask.
Lindsay: [and off they go to crash out for the night]
Ben: [yup, because too tired to do anything else.]
