peter & cora } { of good changes and moving on

Stiles: [and back to normal, minus the facial hair and the scar near his eyes, and he's back at home in the kitchen making lunch for him and Cora when she gets there]

Cora: [and she will rouse herself after pulling the graveyard ship on the rig, rubbing her face a bit as she comes downstairs] Hey.

Stiles: [looks up at her, smiling] Hey sunshine.

Cora: Whatcha making?

Stiles: Turkey club sandwiches, extra bacon.

Cora: Yummy.

Stiles: I figured you would want to be awake and have energy to spend the day with me before I ship back off to Houston.

Cora: And you would be right.

Stiles: I'm always right. [smirks]

Cora: [and that gets him a bit of a look] Uh-huh.

Stiles: [grins and leans in to kiss that look off her face]

Cora: [sighs as she kisses him back] So you're all clear?

Stiles: Yup. Even cleared to fly again with my eye injury.

Cora: That's good. I'm glad.

Stiles: You're probably tired of me at this point.

Cora: Not possible.

Stiles: You say that now. [and he's done with the sandwiches and goes to put them on the table]

Cora: [goes to join him, reaching for her sandwich] I will say that I'm tired of the fuzz on your face.

Stiles: You don't find it makes me look older?

Cora: [she wrinkles her nose] I think it looks like something weird is growing on your face.

Stiles: [pouts] Really?

Cora: Sorry. I prefer clean-shaven you.

Stiles: I don't think I have a razor here.

Cora: We could go get you one?

Stiles: But do you want to waste all that time.

Cora: I wouldn't call it a waste.

Stiles: [sighs]

Cora: [smirks a bit] I will make it worth your while.

`Stiles: You have my attention.

Cora: You do this for me, and I will do something for you.

Stiles: Like...

Cora: Like ... whatever you want.

Stiles: [eyebrow up] Whatever I want.

Cora: That is what I said.

Stiles: You do know how creative I can get...

Cora: I do. But I meant what I said.

Stiles: [debates on this for all of a minute] Alright, I'll go out and get shaving stuff after lunch.

Cora: Thank you.

Stiles: The things I'm willing to put up with. [teasing]

Cora: Don't act like you're not getting something out of it.

Stiles: Yeah, but still it's my face you're asking me to change.

Cora: [sighs] What will you be getting out of this, anyway?

Stiles: I don't know. I'm still thinking.

Cora: Well, when you figure it out, you let me know.

Stiles: Oh, trust me I will.

Cora: Good. [takes another bite of her sandwich]

Stiles: [and he will as well, and then groaning in happiness at the food] So much better than the center's food.

Cora: [she smirks] I'm glad you think so.

Stiles: And I thought the food on the ship was bad while I was deployed. Remind me never to complain about Dad's cooking again.

Cora: I'll be sure to do that.

Stiles: So what shall we do today?

Cora: Well, after you pick up some shaving stuff we could go out for a while, or we could ... stay here and hang out in my room? [though she's leaning towards the latter because she's missed him and even though he's been here they haven't been able to do all the things she would have liked to do - or how they usually spend his leaves home]

Stiles: I'm fine with the later. I've seen everything worth seeing in Beacon Hills.

Cora: Good. Then I can stock up on supplies while you're getting the other stuff.

Stiles: That sounds like a plan. Sure the rest of the pack won't mind?

Cora: [shakes her head] My room is soundproofed so as long as we keep to ourselves we should be fine.

Stiles: I'll come out and say hello to Scott somewhere along the way.

Cora: Sounds like a plan.

Stiles: And we can figure out dinner when it's dinnertime.

Cora: Perfect.

Stiles: It is. [looks over at her, grinning] I love you.

Cora: [she smiles back before finishing up her sandwich] Love you too.

Stiles: I wish you were in Houston so I could go home to you every day.

Cora: Me too.

Stiles: You know... after the accident I was thinking that if my injuries were bad enough that I was discharged from the military and NASA... it wouldn't be the worst thing.

Cora: It wouldn't?

Stiles: No. Because I'd be here with you.

Cora: So you'd be okay with having to leave all that so long as you get to be here with me?

Stiles: If I couldn't do it anymore, yeah.

Cora: [she smiles softly] Good to know.

Stiles: I have no idea what I'd end up doing...

Cora: I'm sure you'd find something.

Stiles: Well, we'll worry about that dance in two years.

Cora: Guess we will.

Stiles: But today, you me, and a razor.

Cora: Sounds good. [and they'll finish their lunch and off they go?]

Stiles: [yup, and if they go separate, Stiles will just go to a barber and get a nice close shave as well as a haircut back to military standards]

Cora: [they can and when they meet up back at the apartment and she sees him, she'll smile] Much better.

Stiles: I look twelve years old again.

Cora: No you don't. You look like you. [and she'll go to lean in to kiss him]

Stiles: [he will gladly accept the kiss, even if he still feels he looks like a kid]

Cora: [well she will deepen that kiss until she proves that he is definitely not kid like]

Stiles: [mmmm, he's liking this deep kiss, his hands will slide around her hips]

Cora: [and she will pull in closer before starting to move to make sure they're definitely in her bedroom and away from prying eyes and ears]

Stiles: [oh yeah, that's a good idea. He will follow her eagerly]

Cora: [yep, back to her room where they can discard clothes and make use of the supplies she bought]

Stiles: [oh yeah. He's been really doing his PT to be able to do this. however, he does not complain about Cora being in charge and him being on the bottom since it rests his shoulder]

Cora: [good. and she'll go easy on him because she doesn't want to break something that took so long to fix]

Stiles: [as long as he's with her, he will be more than happy]

Cora: [and eventually when they both finish she'll shift to lie next to him, one leg draped over his as she lies on her side] I missed that.

Stiles: Yeah, me too.

Cora: Well, we have plenty of time to do it as much as we want before you have to go.

Stiles: I'm really glad we took this plan for the day. [grins, reaching over to pet her face]

Cora: [she laughs] So am I.

Stiles: I really don't want to go back tomorrow.

Cora: You don't have to. You could stay here with me. Say you need more time to recover.

Stiles: No, I have to. I don't set my schedules - the military does.

Cora: [she sighs] There isn't any way you can negotiate it?

Stiles: Nope. Doctor already submitted his report and I'm due back at oh eighteen hundred or I'm considered AWOL.

Cora: Guess we'll just have to make the most of it. So how many hours do we have, exactly?

Stiles: [reaches to look at his phone] My flight from LA leaves at noon tomorrow.

Cora: So eighteen hours.

Stiles: Give or take.

Cora: I think we can work with that. [and she'll lean in to kiss him again]

Stiles: [kisses her back] I can sleep on the plane.

Cora: Perfect. [and then it's back to kissing and touching and moving into round 2]

Stiles: [oh yeah. and even three before they need a food and water break]

Cora: [yep, and she'll just stretch out next to him for a bit, looking to catch her breath]

Stiles: [same here] I wish I had your energy levels sometimes.

Cora: [she laughs] Gotta love that werewolf metabolism.

Stiles: Yeah, totally jealous.

Cora: I don't know, you're in pretty good shape for a human.

Stiles: Years of government enginnering.

Cora: [deepens her voice slightly] We can rebuild him. We have the technology.

Stiles: [laughs] Exactly.

Cora: [her back arches a bit as she stretches out one of the kinks] I think you keep up just fine.

Stiles: I'm pretty sure I'm done for a while. I need food. Or a nap.

Cora: I can order a pizza.

Stiles: Pizza is always good.

Cora: I'll do that, you can take a power nap while we wait?

Stiles: Sounds like a good plan.

Cora: [leans in to kiss him again] I'll wake you up when the pizza arrives.

Stiles: Alright. I'll be here when you do. [and he kisses her before curling up in the bed]

Cora: [and once he's out she will grab her phone to order the pizza and pull on just enough clothing so that she can wait decently downstairs for the pizza]

Scott: [and he will be coming home just about then] Hey Cora.

Cora: Hey. I'm just waiting on the pizza.

Scott: So you have Stiles locked up in your room then?

Cora: He's taking a nap.

Scott: So you wore him out?

Cora: Sorry.

Scott: Why do you think I called dibs on driving him to the airport?

Cora: He will be all yours then, I promise. Or I could get him to come down here for pizza?

Scott: Will you allow him to put his pants back on?

Cora: [gives him a bit of a look at that] Yes.

Scott: Okay. Just making sure. [smiles]

Cora: [shakes her head] I'm gonna miss him when he's gone.

Scott: I know. I will too.

Cora: Part of me just wants him to stay.

Scott: And the other part?

Cora: Knows I can't keep him here because a, the military will get mad and b, he'll probably get mad.

Scott: I don't think he will get mad but yeah, the army would. And then he would go away for a lot longer.

Cora: I told him that I could deal with this. The whole long distance thing. I think he'd be mad if I went back on that.

Scott: I really don't think he will be mad.

Cora: [she shrugs, not really sure what to say, but she doesn't want to be the nagging girlfriend or the annoying girlfriend]

Scott: [leans into her a bit] I can run the pack for a few months if you want to go out there.

Cora: Yeah, I'm sure Isaac will take that really well.

Scott: Isaac likes me. It's not like you're asking Peter.

Cora: But I'd be abandoning him for Stiles. And you know how he feels about Stiles.

Scott: Well, he's going to have to get over it.

Cora: I know. But it's not fair to make you deal with the backlash of that so that I can ... [run off with her boyfriend for a few months] Besides there's the bar and my jobs - it's not a good idea.

Scott: Cora - you're in love. I'll deal. Maybe it'll be good for both you and Isaac to have that distance.

Cora: [she shrugs. she doesn't know if it will really work having her there either. it feels like she'd be intruding]

Scott: Just don't let yourself think you're wasting time or missing it. I mean, we both just realized how short his life could be.

Cora: No. I know.

Scott: [looks up the stairs to see Stiles standing there in his jeans, leaning against the railing. He had to go pee and heard them and came out to listen quietly] Plus you know he can be a sneaky bastard and may even find having you there would give him reason to sneak out to see you.

Cora: [she blinks and then leans back so that she can see over her shoulder and ... oh.] Hey.

Stiles: Hey. Sorry, I had to pee and heard my name.

Cora: ... Scott and I were just talking about you leaving. [and her eyes drop to her hands and she goes back to facing the door]

Stiles: And not wanting me to go. [and he will come down the stairs]

Scott: I should... probably find a hole to hide in.

Cora: [oh so he heard ...all of that. Awesome. She looks a bit caught but she doesn't stop Scott from leaving if he wants to and she doesn't move from the couch]

Stiles: No, I think this is a three musketeers’ talk. [and he will come join them on the couch]

Cora: [sighs as she tips her head back] Is it?

Stiles: Yeah. Because I know you both don't want me to go.

Cora: We miss you. And we worry about you.

Stiles: [and he sits on the edge of the couch, his hands in his lap] I know you do. And I mean, I miss you both everyday as well. It's been hard being away.

Scott: But it's all you've ever talked about.

Cora: You've come so far, we don't want you to give that up either.

Stiles: [nods, licking his lips] I actually have a confession to make. I just... I haven't really wanted to talk about it.

Cora: [her eyebrows go up a bit at that]

Scott: What's going on?

Stiles: I'm going back to NASA, but I'm not going back into the training program. They scrubbed me because of the accident. I got the letter last month because I was taking too long to heal. They're going to have me just work one of the military pilot jobs until the end of my commission.

Cora: [her face softens a bit] Stiles, I'm sorry.

Stiles: [shrugs] I wanted to go back to try and convince them to give me a second chance, but I'm pretty sure that's it. My old wingman joked I should look into one of the private space companies but as it is, since I'm not in the training program I've only got three months left before my commission ends.

Cora: Why didn't you say something?

Stiles: Denial?

Cora: [she grimaces then nods]

Stiles: And I didn't want you to worry about me. I'll be fine, I just... I actually do need to figure out what I am going to do when I get out.

Cora: [she doesn't want to say it but ...] Your dad's always hiring.

Stiles: I don't think my dad would hire me. He knows me.

Cora: I don't know. He might surprise you.

Stiles: Well, he was actually suggesting that I look into Lifeflight.

Cora: [her eyes widen] Oh.

Stiles: Yeah. [rubs the back of his neck]

Cora: That could be good.

Scott: You guys would end up working together.

Cora: Sometimes, yeah.

Stiles: You bag, I fly.

Cora: Yep. [she smiles] It could be fun.

Stiles: Yeah. It could be.

Scott: [jumps at the doorbell] We ordered pizza?

Cora: We did. [and she will go to pay for it and deal with the delivery boy]

Stiles: So um, you get me tomorrow but I think today...

Scott: Yeah, gotcha. I'm getting changed and going to meet Kira anyway.

Cora: [and she will come back with the pizza] You're not going to stay?

Scott: Nope, I have my own hot date with a girl and a pizza. Or sushi. Not sure which it will be this time.

Cora: Have fun. [she waits until Scott disappears into his room, before glancing back to Stiles] So do this here or do you want to head back upstairs?

Stiles: Down here. Last time we had pizza upstairs, we made a bit of a mess.

Cora: [she laughs as she goes to sit next to him] True.

Stiles: And I think this is better used in us, and not on us.

Cora: Probably true. [flips open the box and offers it to him] So how much did you hear of me and Scott talking?

Stiles: Enough to get the gist. Scott was trying to convince you to come to Houston.

Cora: Yeah.

Stiles: That's why I figured I would tell you the truth... so you don't actually have to try and make those arrangements.

Cora: [she shrugs] I could take a sabbatical. It's not like I need the money.

Stiles: I know, but it's only for three months.

Cora: Yeah, it would. But it would be three months where we wouldn't have to worry about the pack or about you leaving or anything else.

Stiles: Come on, Cora, you'd still be worrying about them.

Cora: Well, yeah, but ... maybe I need a break too.

Stiles: I can talk to operations about getting us a couple's housing.

Cora: I'll talk to Peter about floating me a little money. I mean, I've never even been out of Beacon Hills. Maybe it's time I went.

Stiles: Houston is pretty cool.

Cora: So I've heard.

Stiles: You sure you want to do this?

Cora: As in do I know if it's the right thing to do? No. But objectively speaking? I really, really want to.

Stiles: [grins] Well, I like the idea. Three months of me going to work, and then coming home to you.

Cora: And not having to worry about my cranky pack members or our schedules not matching up.

Stiles: Or making dinner in the nude.

Cora: [she laughs] That sounds a little dangerous.

Stiles: I dunno, sounds sexy to me.

Cora: I guess that depends on what you're cooking.

Stiles: Something not involving hot oil that's for damn sure.

Cora: Definitely not.

Stiles: But I can make pancakes naked.

Cora: You could. That is definitely a thing you could do.

Stiles: [he thinks as he eats a slice of pizza, and he nods] I'd like that. I think I'd really like that.

Cora: Okay. Then I'll talk to Peter.

Stiles: And I'll talk with NASA.

Cora: Good. [and she leans in to kiss him softly]

Stiles: [and he will kiss her back, both of them tasting like pizza]

Cora: [mmmmm pizza. and when they're finished their pizza they will return to her room to resume their earlier activities]

Stiles: [oh yes. a few times over]

Cora: [and after he gets on the plane tomorrow, she will probably make her way over to Peter and Melissa's to have an awkward talk with her uncle]

Peter: [oh goodie]

Cora: [she'll wait until Melissa leaves for her nursing shift, and until then she's just sitting on the couch, legs crossed under her and trying to figure out how to phrase this that doesn't sound selfish]

Peter: [and he can tell something is up so he will wait to bring it up until after Melissa is gone] So what's wrong?

Cora: Nothing. [there's a beat as she plays with her coffee mug] I was just wondering ... if it would be okay if I went to Houston for a bit.

Peter: Houston?

Cora: Where Stiles is stationed. It's only three months until the end of his commission, so I was thinking that maybe I could go and spend time with him for a bit.

Peter: How does your pack feel about that?

Cora: Scott is the one who suggested it. Erica and Boyd I think would be okay. Isaac is the one I'm worried about but Scott says he could handle it and he made a good point that Isaac will have to get used to me and Stiles eventually.

Peter: That's true. He's probably feeling challenged and his affections for you are hard to lose when you are always there.

Cora: [she nods] And I know that I have a lot of responsibility here, but ... I need a little breathing room. And I think this might be a good way to do it.

Peter: I think it's a good idea as well. Are you leaving Scott in charge as your second?

Cora: [she nods] He volunteered and you and Derek aren't exactly the best choice for them.

Peter: True. I think Scott is an excellent choice.

Cora: [she takes a deep breath] It would be three months, to the end of Stiles' commission.

Peter: I thought he had a year and a half until his NASA training ended.

Cora: [she shakes her head] He got kicked out of the program. Apparently he took too long to recover.

Peter: Oh. I'm sorry to hear that.

Cora: [she nods] So he has three months left, and then he's moving back. And since we haven't really gotten any consistent time together that's just us, I thought it might be an opportunity.

Peter: Well, I think it's a good idea. Just keep in touch with your pack and if a problem comes up, have a plan to get back ASAP.

Cora: I will. I'll nail everything down with Scott before I leave.

Peter: What do you need from me?

Cora: Money, mostly? Stiles said he was going to try and get couples' housing but I'll need to rent a car and stuff.

Peter: How about we buy you a car? That way you can use it to get your things there and bring you home if you need to.

Cora: That works. I should be okay for spending money with what I have saved.

Peter: And it's not like there isn't anything else in the coffers. [he gets up] Let me go get the checkbook, and we can go car shopping.

Cora: [she nods and she'll finish up her coffee and wait for him to come back]

Peter: [and he will return later] Unless, of course, you want a motorcycle. But that would involve getting a different license.

Cora: No. I'm fine with a car.

Peter: Then let's go. [and off they go towards town] Anything in particular you'd like?

Cora: Something easy to drive. A sedan should be fine.

Peter: Convertible or normal?

Cora: Normal.

Peter: You know you can have something fun. You don't need to be practical.

Cora: I don't like convertibles.

Peter: Okay.

Cora: Besides, who says normal cars can't be fun?

Peter: Oh I know just how much fun any car can be at your age. [smirks] Or any age, really.

Cora: [makes a face] There's images I definitely didn't need.

Peter: [laughs] Just replace you and Stiles in those images.

Cora: Too late.

Peter: Sorry. [he's not]

Cora: [rude, Peter]

Peter: [but they get to the car dealership and Peter lets her go find the one she wants]

Cora: [and she will pick something pretty and sleek but lots of cargo space]

Peter: Good choice.

Cora: Thank you.

Peter: [and they will go fill out papers and Peter will pay the man] So do you have luggage?

Cora: [she nods] Yeah, from when I moved out.

Peter: Anything else you think you're going to need?

Cora: I don't know. I have to go home and start seriously packing.

Peter: You tell your brother yet?

Cora: [shakes her head] I wanted to make sure I was actually going first.

Peter: Well, I would make sure you do that before you go. I don't know how he will take it.

Cora: I will. He was going to be my next stop after this.

Peter: Good.

Cora: [she nods] So do they need me to do anything else?

Peter: You've told the rest of them, I take it.

Cora: Scott, Erica and Boyd knew that I was thinking about it. Isaac doesn't, but I didn't want him to get upset if in the end nothing came of it.

Peter: You need to tell him. You need to stamp down all of this with him. Help him get a new girlfriend, or a boyfriend, but get him to understand what he needs to move on.

Cora: I know. I will.

Peter: But I think your distance will help. Give him space.

Cora: [she nods] I hope so.

Peter: Well, you get to drive away from here on your own, so just make sure you stop by before you leave, alright?

Cora: I will, of course. I probably won't leave for a few days.

Peter: Still, time goes quickly when you're making plans.

Cora: I know. If anything you'll be my last stop on my way out of town.

Peter: I'll make sure to have sandwiches made then for you to take on the road.

Cora: Thanks.

Peter: Drive safe.

Cora: [nods and off she goes to see Derek]

Derek: [and he's on the roof of his apartment in the basketball court that he built, doing his "PT" which is taking shots with the ball to the hoop]

Cora: [and she catches the ball when it goes wide] Hey.

Derek: [looks over at her and smiles. He doesn't reach for his arm brace to hide the state of his arm since she's one of the few he trusts] Hey. Did we have lunch planned?

Cora: Nope. I was just dropping by.

Derek: Okay. Want to come downstairs? I could try and make something...

Cora: No, it's okay. I wanted to talk to you about something, actually.

Derek: Sure. What's going on?

Cora: I'm going to be going to Houston for a few months.

Derek: ... Like Texas?

Cora: Yeah. Like Texas.

Derek: Why in the world would you want to go to Texas?

Cora: Because that's where Stiles is going to be stationed until the end of his commission?

Derek: So you're leaving the pack for... a boy?

Cora: I'm not leaving the pack. [a beat] I'm taking a break from the pack.

Derek: [nods, going to sit down on the bench nearby] I didn't realize an alpha could do that.

Cora: [sighs as she goes to sit with him] Scott volunteered to fill in as my second, and there's going to be a plan in place in case something goes wrong and I need to come home but ... I need some space. And I want to figure out if Stiles and I really have something without the military interfering. [a beat] I talked to Peter - he said it was a good idea.

Derek: Well, I can't say I don't think it's a bad idea.

Cora: You don't?

Derek: But I'm also not known for making the best life choices.

Cora: [sighs] I need this. And I know I have a lot of responsibilities, but I've spent the past ... what, ten years? Doing everything just for the pack. I didn't go to school, I didn't leave town, I just ... got stuck. My first relationship wasn't even really about me.

Derek: We all got stuck, Cora. I'm sorry.

Cora: It's not your fault. [she shrugs] If I go to Houston to stay with Stiles, all I'll have to worry about is me. I really want to do something for me, just for a little while.

Derek: [he licked his lips] You know when Laura was alpha, she focused everything on me. For the longest time, she never took anything for herself. When she finally did... she never really had time to see where it could go. [he looked at Cora] Go. Don't make that same mistake.

Cora: [glances over at him and there's a lot of gratitude there because she was worried he wouldn't get it] Thank you.

Derek: Just make sure he knows that if he hurts you, I can still kick his ass. Lame arm and all.

Cora: Don't worry, I think he's still terrified of you from high school.

Derek: Good. He should be.

Cora: [she laughs a bit before leaning in to him] I don't think he'll give you reason to, though.

Derek: Still, big brother protocol demands that I state it. [he goes to wrap his good arm around her] I’m glad you're happy.

Cora: Me too. It's been really nice.

Derek: You deserve it.

Cora: Now I just have to break the news to Isaac.

Derek: He'll deal.

Cora: I know he will. Eventually. Doesn't mean I'm looking forward to telling him.

Derek: If nothing else, you being gone will force him to move on. Or become an obsessive compulsive and he will follow you.

Cora: Let's hope it's not the latter.

Derek: I can focus my big brother anger on him while you're gone?

Cora: [she snorts before shaking her head] No. He doesn't need people intimidating him. His dad did that enough.

Derek: Alright. We'll take care of him though.

Cora: Good.

Derek: So when are you leaving?

Cora: A couple days, probably? I'm going to wait to see if Stiles can actually get couples' housing.

Derek: Aw, that's cute.

Cora: Its practical.

Derek: Still, it's cute. You sure you're ready to spend that much time with him?

Cora: Gotta figure out if I can eventually, right?

Derek: Just don't go getting married while you’re gone.

Cora: Really not planning on it.

Derek: Good because Peter would disown you.

Cora: So would the sheriff.

Derek: I'd stop talking to you for at least a few months.

Cora: I'm pretty sure Scott would cry.

Derek: Isaac would have a hissy fit meltdown worthy of YouTube.

Cora: Boyd would just be silently disapproving.

Derek: Erica.... would probably follow Boyd's lead.

Cora: .... Actually I think Erica would be the one person who wouldn't judge us for eloping.

Derek: That and Scott's girlfriend. She seems the bubbly type who would want to know all the details.

Cora: Yeah, Kira's still too new to judge.

Derek: [nods, and smiles a bit, because his mind shifted to Fiona for a moment]

Cora: [squints at him] What are you thinking?

Derek: [chuckles, rubbing the back of his neck] Just about Fiona.

Cora: What about her?

Derek: Just thinking about how you're going off to be with Stiles similar to how Fiona took a chance on being with me.

Cora: I guess it kinda is.

Derek: So yeah, go. It's worth it.

Cora: Okay. I'm planning on it.

Derek: Just don't forget to call your brother every now and then.

Cora: I will. I promise.

Derek: Think you can squeeze in a game with your brother before you go? [nods towards the hoop]

Cora: [smirks] I think I can do that.

Derek: Just don't kick my ass too badly. [and off they go to play]

Cora: [and once that's done she will head back to the loft and try and see if she can track down Isaac]

Isaac: [and he is in his room, organizing his scarfs]

Cora: [lingers in the doorway for a moment, before knocking lightly] Hey. Can we talk?

Isaac: It depends? Am I going to like this talk?

Cora: Probably not?

Isaac: Then no.

Cora: [sighs] Isaac.

Isaac: What, I'm having a good day. I don't want to lose that.

Cora: Maybe it won't be as bad as you think.

Isaac: You're not going to let me say no. You shouldn't start it off as an offer to let me reject it.

Cora: Because I didn't expect you to reject it based on whether or not you were going to like it, and I don't have time for you to wait to have a shitty day for me to make worse.

Isaac: ... You don't have the time?

Cora: No. [sighs] So can we talk? Please?

Isaac: [sighs] Fine.

Cora: [she nods as she goes and sits on the edge of his bed, waiting for him to join her before she starts] So Stiles only has three months left on his commission.

Isaac: So he's giving up on being an astronaut already?

Cora: No. He got kicked out of the program because he didn't heal fast enough.

Isaac: Well, that sucks. [nope, not sorry.]

Cora: [don't worry, he'll get there] It does. But since he has such a short amount of time left, I'm going to go down there to stay with him until it's over.

Isaac: Seriously?

Cora: Yeah. Seriously.

Isaac: So you're leaving us for Stiles. Great.

Cora: I'm not leaving you. I'm just taking a break and am going to come back when he's finished.

Isaac: Yeah, you are. And that's what you think now.

Cora: Both of us plan to come back here. But this isn't about the pack, Isaac. It's about me.

Isaac: [nods, but he's not looking at her, focusing instead his attention out the window]

Cora: [she sees that, but she's not changing her mind either] Scott is going to be in charge in my place when I'm gone, and we're going to have a plan so I can get back fast just in case.

Isaac: And then after he's going to just move in?

Cora: Maybe. It depends how this goes.

Isaac: Well that'll be awkward.

Cora: Will it?

Isaac: You really want your ex living with your current?

Cora: I would like it if two people who are important to me could manage to get along with each other.

Isaac: Stiles and I never got along, Cora. Even in high school.

Cora: Well, I'd hope that you have a little more maturity now than you did then. You've both changed. Maybe your relationship will change.

Isaac: [there's a look. because what is this growth and change you speak of]

Cora: [and she will give him a look right back because GROW UP]

Isaac: So is that all?

Cora: [she sighs, before nodding] Yeah. That's it. I'll be leaving in a couple days.

Isaac: Have fun.

Cora: [she swallows then nods as she makes her way back to her room to pack]

Isaac: [and he is going to go out, because he's not happy and is going to go distract himself at a club]

Caroline: [and Caroline has gone to a club because she didn't want to see Elena and Tyler mooning over each other anymore because as much as she loves Elena, she's still bitter about the way that ended. Even if she was the one who ended it. Whatever. she's going out and she's going to dance and she's going to drink and who knows, she may even get laid. That is her plan, and she's sticking to it]

Isaac: [getting a drink and getting laid is totally top of the priority list, along with dancing. He likes to dance, and he's going to be in tight pants, tight top, and just getting lost in the music]

Caroline: [hello prettyboy. Caroline spots him in the crowd and eyes him for a moment before she decides to just do her thing and see if he'll notice. Though she is all cleavage and legs for days so she's kind of hard not to notice]

Isaac: [nope, not hard to notice at all, and he will take a break as the song ends to get another drink, and nod at her] Hey.

Caroline: [works every time. she glances over with a nod and a smile] Hey.

Isaac: Can I buy you a drink?

Caroline: I never say no to a free drink.

Isaac: Cool. [and he will nod to the bartender to get Caroline another] I'm Isaac.

Caroline: Caroline. You live around here?

Isaac: Yeah, a group of friends and I live out on the north side. You?

Caroline: Passing through. Sort of. I'm driving a friend of mine back to Stanford.

Isaac: [chuckles] You choose a hell of a pit stop.

Caroline: Well, we're some wild and crazy kids.

Isaac: So if that friend here with you?

Caroline: Nope. She's back at the motel with her boyfriend who happens to be my ex-boyfriend so naturally I wanted to get the hell out of there. [Caroline may have had a few drinks already]

Isaac: Yeah, don't blame you. My ex just told me that she's moving away for three months and when she gets back, she's bringing the new boy to move into the complex.

Caroline: Wait, you live with your ex?

Isaac: Yeah. It's complicated. She has a two story loft on top of a building her uncle owns. A bunch of us moved in after high school. We have our own spots and just share the common area.

Caroline: Uh-huh. That sounds weird.

Isaac: Oh trust me, it is. But you try to afford a place outside of LA on an actor's salary.

Caroline: I wouldn't know. I'm from Virginia.

Isaac: You are far from home.

Caroline: Well, Elena wanted to go to Stanford. And I wanted to go to Berkeley. Plus home kind of sucks.

Isaac: Sorry to hear that.

Caroline: [she shrugs] I am looking for new experiences.

Isaac: Any that I could help with? [smirks]

Caroline: [she smirks in return] Maybe. [and she'll reach forward and grab him by his shirt to pull him back towards the dance floor] Let's see how you do.

Isaac: [grins, taking the rest of his drink and then following her onto the floor where he gets nice and close as he dances]

Caroline: [yep she's a good with that, turning so that her back is pressed against his front and moving her hips in time to the music]

Isaac: [and his hands will go to her hips, pulling her a bit closer]

Caroline: [and she will just lean into him, one hand going to his neck as she grinds back and forth]

Isaac: [and after a bit, he is going to just lean in and kiss along her neck, getting a nice sniff of her scent]

Caroline: [which is normal perfume and sweat but Isaac might notice she's a little cooler to the touch and her scent is a bit stale]

Isaac: [and that's different. Interesting. And he likes the coolness] You want to get out of here?

Caroline: Yes, please.

Isaac: [and he will sneak her out the back way]

Caroline: [and she will follow his lead out the door and once they're clear of the music:] We're going to your place, right? Because I don't really have a place.

Isaac: I was actually thinking maybe I could get us a place. [holds up his credit card]

Caroline: Works for me.

Isaac: [and he will take her to pretty much the best hotel motel in Beacon Hills because he has standards]

Caroline: [you're such a nice guy, Isaac. And she'll wait for him to book the room and then follow him upstairs]

Isaac: [and when they get there, he will go to turn on the radio by the bed] So, back to dancing?

Caroline: If I just wanted to dance - [she kicks off her shoes] - I would have stayed at the club.

Isaac: [grins] Oh, I'm sure I can convince you into a bit more dancing. [and he will slide up close, moving his hips against her as he slides a hand up her stomach]

Caroline: [she eyes him curiously for a moment] Strip dancing?

Isaac: Um hmm. [kissing along her neck, hand slipping under her shirt to slide up to cup a breast]

Caroline: Okay. [as she tips her head back and starts to do the same, her hands sliding under the bottom of his shirt]

Isaac: [and he will work on getting her shirt off, and starting to kiss his way along her body]

Caroline: [yep, she will give him plenty of room to do that as she gets his shirt off and trails her nails down his pecs]

Isaac: [and he is going to guide her back to the bed and sit so that he can properly kiss her chest as he frees her from her bra, and then sucks her nipple]

Caroline: [she moans softly as she slides into his lap, curling her arms around his shoulders, sliding her fingers through his hair]

Isaac: [and he will keep doing that until the next scheduled NC-17 sexy log but it's bedtime and we can't be continuing this at work]

Caroline: [nope, so we'll save this for later and start something else tomorrow]

Isaac: [and he will totally screw her brains out when I get home]

Caroline: [good plan]

Isaac: [and now that I'm home, he will get back to that kissing and sucking, nibbling on her breasts as his hands guide her hips to rub against his growing hardness]

Caroline: [and she will grind back down against him, leaning down to press eager kisses against his neck, though she does her best to keep her fangs back]

Isaac: [and when he is frustrated and wanting more, he is going to flip them quickly, putting her on the bed and kissing his way down her body]

Caroline: [gasp as she stretches out under him, shifting her legs to make room for him as he moves lower]

Isaac: [and he is going to go down on her, lapping at her like a puppy with his favorite dish]

Caroline: [which she will be very pleased about, her fingers curling into his hair as she helps guide him to what she likes best]

Isaac: [he's a good puppy, doing what he's told, and in doing so will add a few fingers to the mix]

Caroline: [yes. good puppy. gooood puppy. and it won't take long for her to buck up and fall over the edge]

Isaac: [and when she is done, he will put on a condom, slide up her body, pulling her legs around his hips and not giving her any time before he thrusts up into her.]

Caroline: [it's a good thing she's out of it enough to not tell him to forgo the condom because that would have probably been weird, but once he slides inside her, she'll snap back to attention a bit, flexing her hips and then flipping them to pin him under her]

Isaac: [well, he used to sleep with an alpha female, so he's fine being on the bottom. In fact, it's obvious that he's used to this position because he knows how to angle his hips and thrust up into her]

Caroline: [very good boy. And she's just going to rock her hips down with him, riding him hard and fast]

Isaac: [and when he eventually hits his peek and falls over, his eyes will glow yellow for that moment]

Caroline: [she'll fall over with him, but this time she's not as caught by surprise and definitely notices that] ... Werewolf!

Isaac: [blinks, and hits his head back in the pillow first because shit he was supposed to control it and then...] Wait, you know about werewolves?

Caroline: Yeah. [there's a beat, before she exhales and lets her fangs drop, and blood begins to pulse behind her eyes] Safe to say I'm familiar with the concept.

Isaac: [leans back] Vampire?

Caroline: Yeah. [a beat as she sits up a bit more so that he won't violently recoil considering they are still literally attached at the hip] But not one of those asshole ones who thinks all werewolves should be violently murdered. That whole war of the species nonsense is bullshit.

Isaac: Well... that's good to know because that was some pretty damn good sex and I'd hate to ruin it with blood wars and stuff.

Caroline: Agreed. Seriously, it's all a load of crap. So long as you keep your fangs to yourself, we won't have a problem.

Isaac: That goes both ways, but yeah.

Caroline: Great! Ground rules.

Isaac: So... that mean we can move on to round two?

Caroline: Yes. Let's do that. [and into round two they will go]

Isaac: [Oh yeah, and he will last much longer and can be a lot rougher now that he knows she's not "human"]

Caroline: [yes. good. very, very good.]

Isaac: [and they can both take out their frustrations in a healthy, awesome way]

Caroline: [yep. and once they've thoroughly worn each other out and Isaac is dozing off, Caroline is going to quietly sneak out of bed and start to get dressed]

Isaac: [rolls over a bit] Can I get your number at least?

Caroline: [she watches him for a moment, before grabbing the pad next to the bed and scribbling the number down] There.

Isaac: I'll text you. Let me know when you're coming back through town and maybe I’ll take you sightseeing.

Caroline: I will let you know. [and she will grab her bag and head towards the door] See you around, Isaac.

Isaac: [lacing his fingers under his head] See you later, Caroline.

Caroline: [there's a small smile and she slips out the door]

Isaac: [and he will enjoy a good night sleep in the motel, and then head back home]
