Living in a hotel was kind of cool. They could order their food from room service and she could watch TV and while she didn't really have a lot anymore, she had Peter. That counts to her more than anything. It also means they're not in the hospital anymore which got really, really boring after a while.
The downside of being at the hotel, however, is that she had to go back to school. Not only did school mean everyone looking at her funny for everything that has happened and not wanting to be within twenty feet of her (except for Scott and Stiles, they were the only ones who still wanted to hang out with her, and she was still grateful for that), it also meant homework. She's always been a good student with good grades, but missing a month of school did not make it easy to catch up. There were some subjects that she got easily - math and science mostly - but others where it was a lot of reading and memorization that she didn't do and now she's just trying to make sure she has all the facts down.
She doesn't. This make up history test is mocking her with all the things she doesn't know, and she wants to tear it up and pretend it doesn't exist. Stiles had tried quizzing her earlier, but half the things she still didn't remember. But she doesn't try to tear it up. She knows she needs to pass it. So she's just going to make faces at it until the answers to the questions magically appear out of thin air.
Because that's totally going to happen.
Don't judge her. She's eleven. She can dream.
