Derek: [and he didn't hear back from Allison after that so he may sneak out after Thomas went to sleep and literally take his life into his own hands by going to the Argent house, getting on the roof and sneaking over to Allison's window and tapping on it]
Allison: [glances over at the sound and her eyes widen. she makes sure the door is closed, before going to the window and opening it] Are you crazy?
Derek: [keeping his voice down] You weren't answering your phone.
Allison: [sighs as she let him inside, before closing the window behind her] And you didn't think to send me an email first?
Derek: I thought about it, but I was worried something happened. When Stiles came back and I still hadn't heard from you I decided to just come and check on you.
Allison: [sighs] I lost my phone. I haven't gotten a new one yet.
Derek: Oh, okay.
Allison: So Stiles is okay?
Derek: Yeah. From what his dad told mine, he's a bit beat up and not wanting to talk about it. Cora had Laura take her over to see him so she is probably staying the night. He told his dad that he was beaten up by the Davenport lacrosse team.
Allison: He wasn't.
Derek: I figured. His dad doesn't know about werewolves.
Allison: And Gerard has a deputy in his office.
Derek: Well, luckily so do we. Laura's dating one.
Allison: What does he look like?
Derek: [goes to pulls his phone out and shows a good ol' brotherly blackmail picture of Laura and Parrish being adorkable]
Allison: Good. That's not the same guy.
Derek: Did you tell your Dad about this?
Allison: [she shakes her head] It's not like I can tell him I lost my phone because I was trying to get my grandfather arrested. And he doesn't understand.
Derek: ... How did you lose your phone?
Allison: I followed Gerard to where he was keeping Stiles. I called 911 while I was there because I was hoping if the dispatcher heard Stiles they would send the Sheriff and Gerard would get caught, but the deputy he has was with him. He called it off as a false alarm.
Derek: Did you leave your phone there? [yeah, now he's worried]
Allison: I had to. It's not like I could go in there and get it in front of him.
Derek: Oh god. I've been texting you for hours. If he has it...
Allison: [tips her head back] Maybe he didn't find it.
Derek: But if he did, he knows.
Allison: Well, my dad already knew.
Derek: Yeah but... wait, he knows we're still talking?
Allison: He knows I trust you and consider you a friend.
Derek: But will he go against his father to protect you and me?
Allison: I don't know.
Derek: [and yup, freaking out because Gerard is going to come kill him. He knows this now and he all but yelps when there is a knock on Allison's door.]
Allison: [and she's going to shove him under the bed] One second!
Derek: [yup, following her instructions and trying to be silent and not freak out]
Chris: [yup, waiting patiently]
Allison: [makes sure she can't see him before making her way over to the door and opening it] Yes?
Chris: We need to talk. [and he is going to walk past her into the room]
Allison: [dryly as he walks past her without her permission] Sure, Dad. Come on in.
Chris: Close the door.
Allison: [does as she's told and crosses her arms in front of her chest] What?
Chris: [and he will pull the cell phone out of his pocket and hold it out to her] Missing something?
Allison: [welp. she reaches out to take it from him] I thought I lost it at school.
Chris: No, your grandfather found it. He was very worried that you would leave it lying around with the screen unlocked.
Allison: [frowns, confused] My screen relocks in sixty seconds after I stop using it. So unless he was hacking it, I'm not sure why it would be unlocked. My phone's been missing for hours.
Chris: Either way, he is concerned about all the text messages you've been getting today from the Hale boy.
Allison: And why is that any of his business?
Chris: Perhaps because his daughter is about to go to trial for allegedly murdering their family.
Allison: So is he going to start intimidating me next while he's intimidating witnesses? Tell me who I can and can't be friends with?
Chris: [goes to sit on her bed] You know, I remember a time you used to talk to me like an adult, and not an angry teenager. What happened?
Allison: What happened was our family started threatening and hurting my friends. And I don't know if I can trust you.
Chris: Then tell me how I can earn it back.
Allison: [swallows a bit, before glancing at her closed door] I tell you why he really had my phone, and you believe me instead of siding with him.
Chris: That's why I closed the door. I have a feeling I'm not going to like the real reason my teenage daughter would lose track of her lifeline.
Allison: [she looks down at her phone for a moment, before moving to sit next to him] Gerard had my phone because I followed him to where he and one of his accomplices were keeping Stiles while they were beating him up and trying to get him to change his story about Kate. I called 911 and left my phone there so that they would be able to track it, but apparently one of the deputies is in the family.
Chris: Marcus. [nods, sighing] Is Stiles okay?
Allison: I don't know. They let him go, and he seemed okay enough to walk, but he was pretty beat up.
Chris: [deep breath] And how did you know to go look for him?
Allison: Because Derek told me he was taken and I had a hunch.
Chris: Did Derek think it was Gerard, or did you?
Allison: He told me what Gerard had done to other werewolves, and the first question he asked me was if he was in town. I said I would check into it, but I didn't want him to be right. [contrary to popular belief she doesn't want her entire family to be psychopaths]
Chris: Well, he was right.
Allison: [she nods] I followed him to the movie theater, up to where they run the film. That's where he had Stiles. I didn't go in but I dialed 911 and I pushed my phone in there to see if they could pick up on Stiles' voice and use it to find him.
Chris: If your mother knew he was torturing innocent children...
Allison: She would do what? Because he doesn't seem like he actually listens to anyone.
Chris: [and he will reach up to rub at his daughter's back] That's not entirely true. Your mother is the leader of our family, and they are very likeminded when it comes to werewolves.
Allison: [she makes a face] Stiles didn't do anything wrong beyond tell the truth.
Chris: Gerard probably didn't tell your mother about what he did to Stiles. If Stiles was a werewolf, maybe, but not him being human. [and even then, it's obvious Chris doesn't like this part of hunting]
Allison: So why do it in the first place? What does he gain by hurting Stiles?
Chris: Maybe getting Kate out of jail. Maybe more. I don't know.
Allison: [shakes her head] That's too far.
Chris: I agree. Which is why I came to give you back your phone, not your mother.
Allison: [swallows as she looks down at it again] What are we going to do?
Chris: I don't know. But I think the first thing we need to do is keep open communication between us. I don't like the idea of helping the Hales, but we have a code, and we don't hurt innocent kids, even werewolves.
Allison: [she nods] Okay. [a beat] I'm not going to stop being friends with Derek or Cora. [another beat] Not that she's really my friend, but the point stands.
Chris: I won't ask you. But you will want to tell Derek to be careful. I can't predict that your mother won't try something to protect you.
Allison: [she nods] I will. [especially since he'll hear it because he's ... under the bed]
Chris: [speaking of, as he stands up] And also remind him that since I'm an arms dealer, we have security cameras outside the property.
Allison: [... welp] I will do that too.
Chris: Good. You have school tomorrow so lights out in ten.
Allison: [she nods] Night, Dad.
Chris: [and he will leave, closing the door behind him]
Allison: [and she will wait until the footsteps stop before looking under her bed] You okay?
Derek: [and he will pull himself out from under her bed, nodding] Yeah. And if it helps, he was telling the truth.
Allison: It does.
Derek: I should probably go though...
Allison: Yeah, probably. But I'll see you in school?
Derek: Yeah. Oh, and Allison, you need to clean under your bed. [and he will smirk and hold up a pair of panties]
Allison: [her eyes will widen and she will snatch those out of his hand] Don't make me push you out the window.
Derek: Hey, you're the one who told me to go under the bed.
Allison: [smacks his shoulder]
Derek: I'll see you at school. [and he is going to slip out quietly and use his werewolf speed to book it away from the house]
Allison: [and she will shake her head before catching up on the texts she missed]
Derek: [most of which are very obvious I'm worried about you and please text me back]
Allison: [yes, but there are some from Lydia and the like as well]
Derek: [and he will head back home, and will plan on telling Laura all of this in the morning]
Laura: [good, please keep your sister in the loop]
Derek: [he will when you're not off getting your energy out with your deputy]
Laura: [she only did that the one weekend]
Derek: [but he will be in the kitchen early waiting for Laura in the morning before school]
Laura: [frowns at him] You're awake.
Derek: I wanted to talk to you before I left for school.
Laura: Okay ...
Derek: So you know how Stiles was taken over the weekend and he says it was the lacrosse team but we know it was Gerard?
Laura: Yeah?
Derek: Allison went to find him after I asked her if he had arrived in town.
Laura: And?
Derek: She's the one who called 911 when she found Gerard beating Stiles up.
Laura: But Gerard still didn't get caught.
Derek: No, because there's a deputy on the force that's also an Argent. Marcus.
Laura: [there's a small moment of relief when he gives the deputy's name, not that she had no reason to mistrust Jordan, but her brain is used to assuming the worst] That doesn't surprise me.
Derek: And then I may have been hiding under her bed when her Dad came into the room to talk with her because she had to leave her phone behind and her grandfather found it and I had been texting her because she hadn't called me back after she said she was going to follow a hunch when I told her Stiles had been kidnapped and if her grandfather had arrived in town yet and um.... well, Chris Argent doesn't want to kill us. At all.
Laura: I'm sorry, you were where?
Derek: .... Under... her bed?
Laura: [just ... facepalms] I have not had enough coffee for this.
Derek: I already made some.
Laura: [goes to pour herself a cup] Why don't you think Chris Argent wants to kill us?
Derek: Because he said that we haven't done anything to hurt people, and that's the code. And his heartbeat didn't skip. In fact he sounded upset and surprised when he found out about Stiles.
Laura: [runs a hand through her hair] So what does this mean now?
Derek: I think it means that Chris isn't happy with how the rest of the Argents are operating, and if it comes between Gerard and his wife, or Allison and us... he's with us.
Laura: Well, I'll believe that when I hear it from him.
Derek: But if it happens, would you be willing to meet him to talk?
Laura: There would have to be a lot of conditions.
Derek: Like?
Laura: Like a public place? Where there is a relative expectation that he won't just shoot me.
Derek: I think we can arrange that.
Laura: Does he want a sit down?
Derek: We haven't gotten that far yet.
Laura: Well, when you all manage to sort that out, you let me know.
Derek: I will. [and he will figure this out]
Laura: [she nods] Now get ready for school.
Derek: Yes ma'am.
Laura: [and she will head off to get ready for the day herself]
Derek: [and once he's ready] Can I walk myself to school like a normal person?
Laura: Yeah. Just stay in public areas around people.
Derek: Awesome. See you later. [and he's off]
