Parrish: [and while Hayden and Mason had helped him back to the SUV, and he managed to drive back to the station, his hand is covering the bullet hole in his kidney that hurts like a bitch. Finally he reaches for his radio.] Parrish to base. Come in.
Jody: [goes and grabs the radio, because she knows what that was involving] This is Mills, Parrish. How goes it out there?
Parrish: Um, it goes, ma'am. Could you come meet me out in the lot?
Jody: Sure, can do. What's your ETA?
Parrish: Already here.
Jody: Be right out. [and she will go grab his spare clothes and make her way to the SUV, but when she sees him, she stops] What happened to you?
Parrish: The Riders didn't appreciate me interrupting their plans a second time.
Jody: ... That's not good.
Parrish: No. [and he will open the door and she will see the bullet wound that isn't healing right away]
Jody: Jesus. [she glances over her shoulder before moving to the back of the SUV] Let me get the first aid kit.
Parrish: [nods, sitting back against the seat and focusing his breathing] It's not in there. I already checked. But when it hit...
Jody: Well, they're Ghost Riders. Stands to figure they'd be shooting ghost bullets.
Parrish: It also extinguished me.
Jody: .... [pokes her head back around again as she grabs the first aid kit] It did what now?
Parrish: When it hit, I was covered in a greenish smoke that just…smothered my flames.
Jody: [makes her way closer and shakes her head] That is ... worrisome.
Parrish: Yeah, I know. Plus it hurts and it's not healing. Thankfully it's not anywhere vital.
Jody: Let's not test what happens if it does. [and she'll patch him up, before letting him get dressed]
Parrish: Do me a favor and don't tell Sheriff just yet? He doesn't need to worry.
Jody: I'll keep it to myself. But you better tell your wolf, because I'm not lying to her.
Parrish: [groans as he pulls on his shirt] She'll smell it before I even get in the door. [sighs] Think I can just head home?
Jody: Yeah, go home. You're no good to me wounded.
Parrish: I'll let you know how I'm doing in the morning.
Jody: [she nods] Keep me posted. [and with that, she'll head back inside]
Parrish: [and he will drive home]
Laura: [and she will be up with a fussy baby who is past the point of real tears and is mostly just milking the mom cuddling for all it's worth with super teary eyes and occasional pitiful noises]
Parrish: [and yeah, sorry Laura, you're going to get greeted with the smell of Hellpuppy after-fire, and blood as he walks through the door.]
Laura: [yeah, nope, she's not happy with those things and she turns on him, keeping her voice calm for the baby, even if the look on her face is not happy] What happened?
Parrish: Ghost Riders. I know I need to grab a shower. Sorry.
Laura: That's not what worries me. Why are you bleeding?
Parrish: They shot me.
Laura: And you're still bleeding?
Parrish: I know.
Laura: [yeah, that's definitely her worried face. and Amelia has now seen her father and is reaching for him, making more pitiful sad baby noises]
Parrish: [sad face because while he would want to hold his daughter...] Daddy has to go shower first, Amelia...
Laura: [glances down at her and turns a bit] Go clean up. We'll talk about this when you get out.
Parrish: I'll be fast. [and he is going to slowly walk towards their room, his hand going to hold the wound area. He'll take a "quick" shower, but he's moving slow and his energy is low as his body is trying to heal but it's a slow go this time]
Laura: [and she'll keep walking through the apartment, Amelia going back to real crying again because daddyyyyyyy why don't you love meeeeeeeee]
Parrish: [and he will come back out afterward, going to the couch and sitting on it, tucking his injured side into a pillow] Here, give her to me.
Laura: [which she will do, before dropping down next to him and placing a hand over her eyes]
Amelia: [oh good you're back, but you made me wait so you must suffer through more of my sadness and rejection]
Parrish: [and he will snuggle his daughter, whispering soothingly to her as he rubs her back]
Amelia: [and eventually she'll calm down completely, having emotioned herself into a light doze against his chest]
Parrish: [and he will sigh and lean back against the couch more] There, that's better.
Laura: [looks over when he speaks and sighs] She was in such a mood tonight. And the storms were not helping.
Parrish: Yeah, Mason was telling me he figured out that when the storms have so many lightning strikes, it means that the Riders are in the area.
Laura: Lovely. At least they'll have a way of tracking them now.
Parrish: Yeah, but not a way of stopping them.
Laura: The Wild Hunt is a force of nature. Some things aren't meant to be stopped - only weathered.
Parrish: Yeah, but people are being taken. A lot of people.
Laura: I know. But until we can figure out where they're sending them, we're not going to be able to get them back. Or if they're even somewhere we can get them back from.
Parrish: I hope they are. [looks down at Amelia] You didn't hear this from me, but I was overhearing Lydia and the Sheriff. I think Sheriff lost someone.
Laura: Yeah. Derek thinks we did too.
Parrish: I think the Sheriff lost a son.
Laura: [her face softens a bit] They have to be making us forget for a reason. Which means there's probably a way to get them back, and if anyone can find it, it's Scott.
Parrish: I hope so. [looks down at Amelia] I'd hate for us to lose her like that. Not even remembering her...
Laura: [shifts and inches closer, resting one hand on his arm gently] She isn't going anywhere. Over my dead body.
Parrish: I don't want that either. [looking up at her]
Laura: Neither do I. I'm just making a point.
Parrish: I don't like the fact either that they can hurt me like this.
Laura: Yeah, I'm not fond of that either.
Parrish: And I was just getting to a point where I thought I didn't need to worry about dying and staying dead...
Laura: [gives his arm a squeeze] Maybe there's something in the Watcher's Council's information that can help.
Parrish: Maybe. [but the injury is bugging him a lot more than he's saying.]
Laura: [she inches a bit closer and rests her head against his shoulder, feeling that discomfort, but not sure how to comfort or reassure him]
Parrish: [finally, after a bit of silence] I'm scared, Laura. And so is the hound.
Laura: I know. [there's a pause as she shifts to look up at him] Maybe there's something in the myth that'll be able to fill in the blanks.
Parrish: I hope so.
Laura: But let's not worry about that tonight. Let's get her to bed and get some rest. It'll probably help you heal.
Parrish: That is probably the best idea I've heard all day.
Laura: [smirks as she leans in to kiss him before getting up and giving him room to move] Want me to take her?
Parrish: [nods] Yeah, it hurts to stand up.
Laura: [nods and very gently scoops up Amelia and goes to put her to bed]
Parrish: [and he is going to stand up slowly, trying not to hiss as the hole pulls under the bandages] Do we have any Tylenol in the house?
Laura: Yeah, in the bathroom cabinet.
Parrish: [and he will go to look, moving things around] I only see children's Tylenol.
Laura: [sigh. it was there when she last checked] Uh. I'll find it. Go lie down.
Parrish: [sighs] Alright.
Laura: [and she will go rustle through all the cabinets and make use of her nose, and it takes her a bit but she eventually finds where the last human who used it happened to stash it. Totally not where it was supposed to go, but what can you do. And with that she will return to their bedroom and crawl under the covers next to him] Here you go.
Parrish: Thanks. [and he will dry swallow them because Army boy] I'd roll on my side to snuggle but that's the bad side.
Laura: [she smirks a bit] I could spoon you.
Parrish: Be gentle?
Laura: Only if you want. Otherwise I'll just stay on my side of the bed.
Parrish: I don't know if I can sleep anymore without you against me.
Laura: Then let's try it. Roll on your good side.
Parrish: [and he will roll onto it, his back to her]
Laura: [and she will, slowly and gently, shift to press against his back, one arm snaking under his and against his upper chest, her cheek resting against his shoulder and just doing her best not to jostle him] Good?
Parrish: [smiles his arm going to lay over hers, clasping her fingers] Good.
Laura: [and she smiles before pressing a kiss to his shoulder] Night.
Parrish: Night. [and he will eventually drift off]
Laura: [and she will stay up until she feels him fall asleep, before drifting off after him]
