canon au } { post-3b, of ending wars and coming home

[Spike and Angel crash land into things not long after Ben convinces Dawn to get some rest. Dawn is understandably smug. While Ben seems like he’s playing fair, he’s still ready to grab Michael and ditch the rest of the group at any given moment. They slip out while everyone’s distracted by he vampires, only to find themselves tracked down by the people they thought they were rid of not long after.]

Ben: Don't you have your own world to go back to? [frustrated]

Dawn: Yes. But it's a time travel spell. We've got all the time in the world.

Ben: [deep breath, angry face on] We don't need your help. Can't you get that through your thick little head?

Dawn: Nope.

Spike: Besides. Can't make a daring rescue be too easy. Have to throw imminent death into the picture. [yeah, he's not pleased about this either, but Dawn is the boss of this particular show]

Peter: You do realize that showing off isn't going to get you anywhere?

Ben: [closes his eyes, then looks at Michael and motions with his head at the group before taking a few steps away. Michael was better with the puppy dog eyes to make people listen]

Michael: [glances between his cousin. And Dawn. And back to Ben again.] ... It might not be a bad idea for them to come with.

Ben: [turns to look at his cousin] Are you serious?

Michael: [hands go up] We don't know how many demons there are. A little extra muscle can't hurt is all I'm saying.

Ben: And what happens if they die here? Huh? This isn't their fight, and I don't see anti possession tattoos on them, or anything else to protect them from that. Lucifer is our problem.

Dawn: [rolls her eyes before pulling up her sleeve to reveal her antipossession tattoo. She's covered, thank you] Spike's and Angel's are built in and demons don't like werewolves anymore than they like vampires. We'll be fine. And I'm not doing this for you. [a pointed look] I'm doing it for Sam.

Isaac: I didn't know you had a tattoo... that's cool.

Peter: The boy is right in a way, though. Their world is different than ours. We can't believe what we know about demons and monsters in our world to hold to the same rules here.

Ben: [scowling] At least someone sees my point.

Peter: Doesn't mean we aren't still helping.

Dawn: Angel's been possessed before. It didn't end well for the other demon, right Angel?

Angel: Nope. They tend not to like hopping in something that already has a demon of it's own.

Ben: Fine. You want to come, come along. You all die, it's not on me. And you fuck this up and Olivia dies, I will kill you all myself. [and he storms off]

Michael: [huffs and goes after him so that he doesn't do something stupid] Dude!

Ben: What? [his eyes are glowing just a bit]

Michael: We're going up against Lucifer. You get that, right? We can't just run into this half-cocked.

Ben: Right, and the more people involved, the more chances things will get messed up and we fail. This is supposed to be you and me. Lucifer will kill them all in a heartbeat and you know it.

Michael: And they know that. They're not like you, dude. They've been part of this for most of their lives, if not all of it. Like me. The risks are part of the job and the fact that they're not dead already means they're good at it.

Ben: In their world. This isn't their world, Michael. Rules are different here and we both know it. You see any vampires or werewolves walking around anymore? There's a reason why

Michael: Dawn was part of this world too. And she lived as long as she did because she was strong and smart and we need that right now. And you're right - there are no vampires or werewolves walking around. That gives us an edge. They'll just be expecting a pair of stupid, dumb humans.

Ben: [deep sigh] I don't like this. You are only trusting them because of memories you have of the one of her that lived in our world. You don't know who they really are.

Peter: [listening into the conversation] I never thought I would agree with this kid, but he is very intelligent. He knows the right questions to ask. But he's still his father's son and stubborn as a rock.

Dawn: Yeah, but he's forgetting two things: Summers women are just as stubborn, and I speak Latin.

Michael: Maybe I am. But you tested her right? Not a shapeshifter. Not a demon. So she's human and she wants to help and we need help. My dad and uncle trusted her and her sister for a reason, and they didn't trust a whole lot of people. I'm gonna choose to trust her now.

Ben: She's not the same person, Michael. You hear how you don't exist in their world, how this doesn't exist. You don't know her at all, and you're just going off a story your mom put in your head!

Peter: He doesn't know that, Dawn. Well, the second part. Talking to you for five minutes reveals the first part easily.

Dawn: Obviously. [there's a beat, and she goes to fish her phone out of her pocket] Oh! I might have something else too.

Michael: Well, stories are all I've had! [he's frustrated and he's tired and he just wants Olivia back through whatever means necessary] And I'll tell you something else about those stories. All the times our parents decided to just run in head first and didn't trust other people to help them? They fucked up. They made things worse. And I don't know about you, but there's too much riding on this for us to fuck it up.

Ben: [jaw set. Because well, that last part was right. And Dawn had said something about that too while they talked. But finally he sighs, his eyes settling back down as he let his anger go] I don't like this.

Peter: [confused and looking at her]

Michael: [he shrugs] You don't have to. You just have to hope it works.

Dawn: [raising her voice a bit so that Michael and Ben can hear her] Hey boys! Either of you have an exorcism on tape?

Michael: [glances back to her, narrows his eyes, and then turns back to Ben and raises his eyebrows]

Ben: [looks at Dawn] You realize we haven't had electricity for almost fourteen years, right?

Dawn: [holds up her cell phone] Who needs electricity when you have a battery?

Ben: And you plan on charging it how?

Dawn: It already has one? If we hoard all the demons in to one area, I have enough juice for one good go. Any stragglers left behind I can get the old fashioned way. [there's a beat] I feel like I've neglected to inform you that I speak Latin.

Ben: [eyebrow goes up] Yeah, that probably would have been nice to know. But what do you have on that thing that would take out demons?

Dawn: [......] An exorcism? Done in double time by one Sam Winchester.

Ben: [looks at Michael, then back at the phone] You're kidding. Does that even work if it's recorded?

Dawn: Oh yeah. It's the words that matter.

Peter: Remind me to get a copy of that when we get back someplace with a signal.

Ben: [thinks, crossing his arms] That does change things. If you can speak it, and someone else can use that...

Dawn: [she grins] We have a plan.

Ben: [bites the side of his mouth, then nods] I guess we do. [he looks at them all, then sighs] Just don't go dying on me. I'm not sending condolence letters back through whatever portal you'll be jumping back in through.

Dawn: [gives him a bit of a salute before nodding] Trust me. None of us are interested in dying. We have people to get back to. [people she hasn't forgotten about, despite the detour she's making them take.]

Ben: So let's make a plan. Just remember I'm the only one with the weapon to kill Lucifer. I need to make that play. If I even drop the sword, he'll snatch it away and we're done.

Cora: So we distract them. [she takes a step forward, crossing her arms in front of her chest] We take the demons, you guys go for Olivia. Lucifer will probably be with her.

Peter: Isaac can take the phone. Split up with someone doing the exorcism, a wolf and a vampire.

Isaac: So what, I'm playing the part of Dawn in the second group? Thanks.

Ben: [Closes his eyes. it sounds so much like the plan Dean had that got Cas killed] It'll work. Michael and I'll go find Lucifer. You finish, you should be able to find us by scent.

Dawn: Hey. I'm pretty sure that should be taken as a compliment.

Cora: [eye roll in Isaac's direction] I'll go with Isaac.

Spike: [He and Angel look at each other, look at Peter, and then do what is obviously their version of rock, paper, scissors. Spike wins, which he feels the need to gloat about] Looks like it's me and the pups then.

Peter: [rolls his eyes] Have fun.

Ben: [pulls out a map of Manhattan] So I'm pretty sure Lucifer has taken up residence in this condo in Brooklyn. All the bridges across have been blocked, so we were down here looking for a ship we can take across.

Dawn: [pretty much everyone crowds around the map] Blocked how?

Ben: [goes and points at each one, listing off all sorts of goodies at each one from hell hounds, knights of hell, Croats, fallen angels... all with a physical barrier just beyond them to make a bottleneck]

Dawn: [cringes a bit] Good times. So we want a sneaky way.

Cora: Are there old rowboats or something? Maybe there's a marina that hasn't been completely destroyed.

Ben: That's where we were headed up until we got sidetracked. [smirk]

Cora: [smirks back] Okay. So we get a boat. Is the terrain flat on the other side?

Ben: It's Brooklyn. I think it's probably the stereotypical zombie infested city locale.

Cora: So provided there aren't too many obstacles, we should be able to make good time.

Ben: That's what I'm hoping. The longer Liv is with Lucifer, the more games he's playing with her.

Dawn: So let's make good time. And hope he's not been bringing his A-game.

Ben: Hope’s in short supply here. Best to get across the water when it's dark between these two bridges. It should keep our scents and noises off radar from the guards on the bridges.

Dawn: [nods before glancing up at the sky] So let's use the daylight hours to find a boat and get some sleep, so at night we're ready to go. Spike and Angel aren't really sunlight-safe anyway.

Sam: [finally appears when he's certain he has the blockers up right. Looking pretty damn solid there, and actually looks a lot more like himself appearance wise too after all the time he got to spend with Liv last night. It was only a few hours in real life, but it felt like years to him and had made a marked improvement on his disposition]

Olivia: [even smiles a bit when she sees him, so ... that really says it all.] Hi.

Sam: Hey yourself. We should be good for a while.

Olivia: Good. [she relaxes a bit, before settling cross-legged, resting her elbows on her knees] So where were we?

Sam: I think I got most of my life and what horrible stories about your uncle I could share. Did I miss anything that you want to know still?

Olivia: [shakes her head] No, I think that was ... more than enough.

Sam: [smiles, sitting down next to her] I'm sure your mom has shared most your mutual stories with you already.

Olivia: [nods a bit] All the good ones, anyway. She ... I don't think she wanted me to know you like I did. So she tried to give me other stuff to balance it out.

Sam: [shakes his head] That's Bela... always looking out for me.

Olivia: [she shrugs] It was better than Uncle Dean, who never talked about you at all.

Sam: He probably blamed himself for all this. He was good at taking the blame for things that weren't his fault.

Olivia: Ben does that too. So does Michael. [so does she. It's a Winchester thing.]

Sam: When we get you out of here, do me a favor. Tell them both it's not worth it. Just let it go and work to make better choices next time.

Olivia: I don't think it's that easy.

Sam: No, it's not. It takes a lot of practice, and self-reflection. But when you find the ability to do it... you'll find a lot more peace with your choices.

Olivia: [nods. She doesn't have much faith in them, but she'll try, at any rate] This all kind of hinges on if I get out of here.

Sam: [ he reaches over and takes her hand, squeezing it] Ben and Michael are going to get here. It I can do anything to help, I'm going to try.

Olivia: [lets her hand sit in his, trying not to worry too much] I just feel like they should have been here by now. Or if they are here, they're coming with a really terrible plan.

Sam: Maybe they actually stopped to make a good plan, and that's what the delay is?

Olivia: [tips her head to look at him] It's just the two of them. I love them, but when they're emotional, they're dumbasses. Someone would have had to make them stop.

Sam: Miracles happen? [chuckling]

Olivia: [laughs a bit before shaking her head] Not really in my experience.

Sam: [just squeezes her hand a bit] Have a tiny bit of hope, okay? There's always a chance.

Olivia: [ nods a bit, before she feels like she's being rocked, and there's the vague sensation of someone calling her name] Did you feel that?

Sam: [closes his eyes] No. [and then there is a jarring of the world] Baby girl, wake up. Something's happening and I can't keep this up. Go. [he gives her a look, knowing this may be the last time they talk.] I love you.

Olivia: [she doesn't get a chance to respond before she's jolted awake, looking up into a familiar pair of eyes] Wha - Michael?

Michael: [relaxes slightly before tugging her in closer for a hug] Good, you're okay.

Ben: [is at her other side, sword out and crouched between them and the door] Alright, kids, back out as we came before we're noticed.

Olivia: [is being tugged up by her brother before she can even react, still looking around, confused, before] No, you can't ... he'll ... but Sam ... [half-asleep, disoriented, and she can't seem to make words work, but she doesn't fight her brother as he starts to pull her towards the door]

Ben: [goes to the door of the bedroom in the condo, listening a moment before waving for Michael and Olivia to run] Back door.

Michael: [nods and goes, dragging Olivia along with him as best we can] Come on. We don't have a lot of time.

Lucifer: [and he lets them go just until they are about to get to the door before it slams shut in front of them. He's leaning in the archway, grinning] Hello, children. Leaving so soon?

Ben: [eyes flash and he doubles back, knowing there is a way into that room from another direction]

Michael: [stumbles, stunned, because there's a part of him that knows that face, even if it's been twenty years, and for a moment he doesn't know what to do.]

Olivia: [snaps off the last of the sleepiness enough to shove her brother backwards, moving between him and Lucifer] Just going for a walk. Thought it was a nice night.

Lucifer: Is that so? See, you may want to be careful. Your brother apparently found three very dangerous puppies out there, and they are going to get put down. Probably better you stay in here until it's done. [looks at Michael] Now the question I have is... where's your self-sacrificing older cousin?

Olivia: [brow furrows at the word "puppies" and she glances back to Michael, before trying to discreetly look for where Ben went. it doesn't matter. her eyes return to him anyway.] Guess he went out for a smoke.

Ben: [is slowly coming up behind Lucifer. The angel sword is in his hands, his eyes glowing and he catches Michael's eyes, nodding to tell him this is it.]

Michael: [there's a barely perceptible nod, before he's grabbing his sister by the shoulders and pulling her back, trying to shield her from whatever's about to happen]

Lucifer: [notices that, and turns just as Ben pounces. The angel sword slashes along the devil's chest and he hisses, going to slam a fist in Ben's face. Ben barely feels it and goes to strike again, but Lucifer locks arms with him] Look at you, all full of righteousness and grace. You don't even know what he did to you, do you?

Ben: [growling] Don't know, don't care as long as it kills you. [and a bit more of a struggle, and at one point Ben shouts for Michael to take Olivia and run]

Michael: [tries to do as he says, but as they do the building starts to rumble beneath them. Somewhere very far away they can hear the screaming of a bunch of demons who are being forcibly removed back to Hell thanks to a couple of well-placed exorcisms.]

Olivia: [looks very confused because WHAT IS GOING ON, but she's fighting this as best she can because no, they're not just going to leave Ben behind against Lucifer.]

Lucifer: Alright, enough of this [he's pissed, and has a few cuts from the angel sword when he finally throws Ben against the wall. Ben reaches for his throat, trying to tear at the invisible fingers while the angel sword hangs from a wrist bungee he has on it] Now, I'm done playing games, kids. So here's what we're going to do. Times are a changing, and I'm wearing last year's suit. So here's the deal: I need a new vessel, and it can be either one of you. So, one of you takes the deal, and you're going to do the one thing everyone has failed to do... and you're going to give your sibling back your dear ol' dad. And, if you act now, I'll even promise not to snap Benny's neck. Decisions, decisions...

Olivia: [its her worst feel played out right in front of her. She didn't want Ben to become Dean and now here it is. And she could stop it. The tears spring to her eyes before she can stop them because she knows what she's going to say, and it means losing one of the people who means the most to her. She shakes her head slowly, a look of tearful determination on her face] I'm sorry. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry.

Ben: Good... girl... [he manages to get out, then gives up trying to stop the strangling and focuses inside of him, begging for an answer to get free. Lucifer isn't watching, but he manages to push himself off the wall, taking a single step forward like he was fighting against a wall of air]

Lucifer: What about you, Michael? Let you sister have her daddy back? After all, she never got to know him. Not like you had.

Michael: [glances between his sister who is breaking down sobbing and Ben who is fighting to get free and it's his family. He doesn't really care about his dad. He put those feelings to rest a long time ago, and the parts he remembers are minimal to begin with. The thing that he's concerned about is Ben. Ben who more like a brother than a cousin, Ben who's dragged him through this every step of the way and he can't let him die. He can't.]

Olivia: Just say no. [her voice was in his ear, and she shakes her head, tears still streaming down her face] No. Tell the son of a bitch no!

Michael: [but he can't. Because he's not thinking no. His eyes pinch closed and he throws up his hands, trying to drown everything else out] Wait, just - wait!

Lucifer: [smiled gleefully, and then freezes. At the same time, Ben stumbles forward and lands hard on his face, barely falling on his sword and he's coughing at getting his ability to breathe back so suddenly]

Sam: [struggling] No. No waiting. Listen to your sister, Michael.

Olivia: [runs to Ben without a second thought, dropping onto her knees next to him and pulling his head into her lap. She doesn't even register that it's Sam at first, is just focused on her cousin.]

Michael: [meanwhile is just staring, stunned, unsure of what he's even supposed to do] This is a trick. This has to be a trick.

Sam: [leans against the archway, trying to focus] No, not a trick. Liv.. baby girl. Can't hold on. Ben... help him.

Ben: [looking at Liv, the bruising on his neck starting to heal already. He grabs the sword quickly at his side] What's going on?

Olivia: [she looks up and she can recognize him in there, and a small smile crosses her face. It's sad though. She knows they don't have a lot of time.] It's him. We don't have a lot of time.

Michael: [still so confused, the disbelief ringing all over his tone as he watches them. because it can't be.]

Olivia: [she reaches for Ben's sword, taking it from him gently before moving closer to place it in Sam's hand. Then she throws her arms around his neck, hugging him tightly, if only for a second] Can't give us a better world, right?

Sam: [looks at the sword, then down at her. Seeing her gives him a bit more strength and he nods] You make sure they don't repeat the mistakes Dean and I made, okay?

Ben: [is slowly standing up, rubbing his neck, confused as all hell and not liking the sword being in someone else's hands, so he's stalking closer carefully]

Olivia: [she nods a bit, more tears streaming down her face as she takes a step back. She gives his hand one last squeeze, before pulling back completely.] Bye, Dad.

Sam: Ben... Need your help here. He's clawing at every corner.

Ben: [nods and steps forward, putting a hand on Sam's shoulder] I've got you, Sam.

Sam: Take care of my kids. And yourself. And get that thing out of you before it kills you.

Ben: [nods]

Sam: [looks at MIchael and Liv] I have and will always love you both.

Olivia: [stumbles backwards, away from him and Michael catches her, tugging her away so that she doesn't have to look. At his urging she turns to face him, burying her face in his shoulder]

Sam: [nods to Ben] Your dad would be proud, Ben. Don't ever think different.

Ben: [doesn't say anything, but puts his hands on Sam's and pushes the angel blade in. There's the flash of light, filling the entire room... and when it fades Ben's a few feet back holding the blade but on his feet, and Sam is on the floor with the etchings of wings on the ground at either side of him. His face shows that he's at peace though]

Dawn: [Olivia is sobbing into her brother's arms when she makes her way into the room, following the flash of bright light that usually follows an angel death. Angel is right behind her and Cora is a few paces behind that, covered in blood and leaning on Isaac heavily. She's mostly healed at this point - blood loss just takes a little more to come back from but for the most part she's fine. She stops them all just short of the room, letting the Winchesters have their moment to grieve while they can.]

Ben: [just watches the siblings a moment, going over to up a hand on Michael's shoulder before looking at Dawn] Thank you.

Dawn: [she gives him a small smile, nodding in acknowledgement, before taking a step closer] First time saving the world. How's it feel?

Ben: Never want to do it again. [he chuckles] I'm sorry, by the way. I was wrong about you.

Dawn: [she shrugs] It happens. We tend to come on strong.

Ben: So, guess it's time we get the lot of you home now.

Dawn: Yes. Angel, do you still have the spell?

Angel: [nods as he retrieves the piece of paper] We need the water and the new moon - which works out well.

Peter: [looks at Spike as he comes in finally] No, seriously, you do not need to make quips at ever demon you kill. You realize that, right?

Isaac: You'd think we'd have to wait a month. Home sounds good right about now.

Ben: [rubs Olivia's arm] You okay, Liv?

Olivia: [nods a bit before throwing herself into his arms because she's really super glad you're not dead dude. Then she glances up at him and frowns] Why is Dawn here?

Dawn: Alternate Me. Long story.

Olivia: [head bobs a bit but she still doesn't really get it]

Cora: [sighs softly, tired, and pulling her bloody, shredded shirt away from her skin because dried blood is gross] Can we either go or let me take a nap? I'm open to either at this point.

Ben: [hugs her tightly, running his hand along her hair] Let's just say you brother took in a bunch of strays.

Isaac: You can take a nap until we open the portal? I'll carry you.

Cora: [she shakes her head] I'll be okay. I just want to go home.

Dawn: Well, we're right by the water. Let's see if we can get this done.

Ben: Come on, guys, let's give them their room to work. We should probably bug out anyway.

Dawn: [nods a bit] You guys gonna be okay?

Ben: The devil's dead. I think we're on a good start to get there.

Dawn: Okay. Let's get down to the water. We'll probably have a stronger connection there.

Peter: You sure you don't want to stick around. Make sure we don't mess up?

Ben: Oh, I'm sure between the six of you, you'll figure it all out.

Michael: [.... unfortunately Michael has his father's curiosity] ... It might be kinda cool.

Ben: [well that's the first words Michael's said in a while] You and your inherited geekness.

Michael: [he's still processing everything else. He gives a bit of an innocent shrug that he clearly inherited from Sam] And we should make sure that we're rid of them for good. [he grins]

Ben: I'm up for that.

Peter: And who's surprised?

Dawn: Okay. To the water! [and off they go to set up the ritual, yadda yadda yadda, and once all the details are done, she takes the athame from Angel with a frown] Why do I always have to bleed?

Angel: Because rituals are pain?

Dawn: [she makes a face. then she turns to the Winchesters] You might wanna take a step back.

Ben: [puts a hand on both Winchester kids and pulls them back two big steps] You don't need to press your noses up against the magical window.

Dawn: [Michael and Olivia do as their told while Angel gestures everyone onto the portal before adding the final ingredient for the spell to go live. Dawn takes a deep breath, before slicing the athame across the inside of her arm, and turning it so that the blood drips down on the ground in front of them. Her blood hits the lines of the spell, and the portal starts to swirl behind them] Here we go.

Peter: Home sweet home.

Ben: You guys stay away from portal demons from now on.

Dawn: [gives a bit of a salute] We'll do our best. [and with that, they start to get pulled back into the portal]

Michael: [only its got a little more umph than they anticipated and Michael can feel his feet starting to slide against the ground] Uh-oh.

Ben: What.... [He can feel MIchael moving away and grabs his arm] Oh hell no, MIchael get back here. Liv, move further back.

Michael: [grabs on to his cousin's arm, trying to keep his grip, and Olivia does the same, trying to anchor him more, but now all three of them are getting dragged and they're not getting any further away] Crap crap crap ...

Ben: CLOSE THE PORTAL! [his eyes glow, trying to get extra strength]

Michael: [None of them can hear him at this point, and the portal should close when Dawn passes through it, but that doesn't preclude people getting caught in their wake. Which is why no matter what Ben does, the three Winchesters still find themselves falling through the portal, knocking over the six people on the other side like a tri-human bowling ball. For the record, it was a strike]

Ben: [and so while nine tumble out, the three who shouldn't be there end up in a pile, Ben on the bottom trying to buffer their fall]

Peter: [pulling himself up from where he was tossed] That was just as horrible of an arrival as the last one.

Isaac: No more traveling by portals. Ever.

Dawn: [would respond to that comment but she's busy being tackled by her sister. Hard. And at first Dawn is totally cool with that. But then it starts to hurt and it's ...] Buffy ... Buffy, you're gonna crack my ribs.

Buffy: [steps back after a minute and gives her a grin] Sorry. It's just ... well, you're here. And you were not.

Dawn: Getting that. [points to Peter] Go hug him. His ribs fix themselves. [sorry Peter]

Allison: [meanwhile, Allison is just going to drop down on her knees next to Isaac and place a hand on his shoulder, face all concern] You okay?

Peter: [is getting up when he gets BUffy tackled] Missed you too [and he is hugging her back tightly]

Isaac: [looks at her and smiles] Demons and zombies. We need to make sure we never let demons or zombies into Beacon Hills. Ever.

Sam: [goes over to Cora and offers her a hand] Your two worrywarts are back home because it's finals week and the Sheriff wasn't letting Stiles go, and Derek is helping him study.

Allison: [grins as she slides her arms around his shoulders, leaning in close] Deal. Consider it done.

Cora: [looks up at him, and nods for a minute. She lets him help her to her feet, before sliding her arms around his middle] Thank you for having exorcisms on tape. And more importantly, sending it to Dawn.

Spike: [since no one was busy hugging the crap out of Spike and Angel, the two vampires are studying the three other bodies that aren't supposed to be there] Well, bugger. You Winchesters really do have all the luck, don't you.

Isaac: [hugs her back] I missed you.

Sam: [hugs her back, smiling] I'll send you a copy just in case you ever need it. [and then he turned to look at Spike, confused] You're not jealous that she's hugging me.... [no Spike is looking at a pile of bodies on the ground] That's three more than should have come through.

Peter: [looks over as well] Oh hell, this isn't good.

Michael: ... Ow.

Olivia: [groans as she pushes up into a sitting position] Ditto. [then she opens her eyes and looks over to where Sam and Dean are standing, and ever so eloquently ...] Fuck.

Ben: [and hey, his arms are free and he can push himself up to his knees and he rubbed at his face a moment before looking around. Thankfully his back is to Dean as he takes in the place and the other two] You two okay?

Sam: [lets Cora go a moment and looks at the others] Alright, I'm confused.

Peter: [Stands up and helps Buffy too, looking at Liv] I think you described the situation perfectly.

Olivia: [she grins sarcastically] I've been told I have a way with words. [glances back to Ben] I like him.

Michael: [looks up at what his sister is looking at his jaw drops] .... Uh. I'm gonna have to agree with Liv. Not about Peter. [one hand grabs Ben's shoulder and keeps him facing away from Dean] Don't freak out.

Ben: Yeah, well she can hang out with Papa wolf then until we figure out that the fuck... [he starts to stand up and feels Michael's hand and turns his head enough to look at it. But it's enough for the Winchesters to get a nice profile shot of his jawline]

Sam: Oh wow... [hand goes to Dean's shoulder in a perfect imitation of Michael's on Ben's]

Dean: [had been half turned away at the time and didn't quite see it, but he frowns at Sam] What? What is it?

Michael: Let's just ... say that Dawn wasn't kidding when she said they were friends.

Ben: [looks up at Michael, then turns around the rest of the way. And he sees Dean and Sam and there and he is just grateful that his eyes aren't glowing as his jaw sets] Three for three with Liv.

Peter: Dean, Sam.... Meet Olivia, Michael and Ben.

Dean: [turns the rest of the way against his brother's grip and when he sees Ben, his eyes widen a bit, because ...] Shit.

Dawn: [cringes sympathetically] ... Crap. Sorry guys.

Isaac: [gets up, explaining it all quickly to Allison in a hushed whisper]

Peter: We happened to drop into the middle of small war. Nothing major. [cringes and keeps Buffy close]

Sam: [squeezes Dean's shoulder] Winchesters?

Spike: [and yeah, Spike doesn't care about anyone's feelings] Oh yeah. They're your kids. [gestures to Michael and Olivia] These two are Sam's and [turns to Ben] ... well, that speaks for itself.

Dawn: Spike!

Spike: Oh, please, like they wouldn't have figured it out.

Peter: [is he close enough? Yes. He's smacking Spike upside the head] Delicate.

Sam: Um... how far into the future did you two go? [he's looking at Michael and Olivia now, confused, but he's starting to see pieces of him in them]

Dawn: [scratches the back of her neck lightly] 2028, I think?

Dean: [there's a beat] And you said it was the ...

Dawn: Yep.

Dean: .... Shit.

Ben: [snorts]

Peter: You should be careful. The one in the back is volatile.

Buffy: [is ... so confused. Then something dawns on her because apparently sometimes she can do math] Wait ... Ben Braedan?

Dawn: Oh yeah. You owe me twenty bucks.

Dean: [there's a long pause as Dean stammers over that information and then decides to focus on the sisters instead because it's just easier] You bet on whether or not Ben was my kid?

Ben: One and only.

Sam: I'm... glad I didn't take that bet. [he lets Dean go and walks a bit closer to Michael and Olivia] Hi. I'm sorry, I know this is probably confusing for you guys right now, but we'll get you back home.

Olivia: [just sort of nods at him blankly because in the past few weeks she went from being pissed as hell at her dad to actually liking him a lot then losing him then getting him all over again but it's not him and she isn't entirely sure what to do with any of this] Okay.

Michael: [knows waaaaaaay more about this universe than his sister does and is just keeping his mouth shut for now. It's probably for the best because right now all he wants to do is see his mom.]

Buffy: [takes a breath, before glancing back to the cars] Why don't we get everyone back to Beacon Hills and we can figure it out from there. That is where the books are currently living.

Sam: [gives them both a small smile, then looks over at Dean] You guys can come with us.

Ben: I'm not going anywhere but back home, sweetheart. [arms crossed]

Buffy: [crosses her arms in front of her chest and takes another step closer] Well, considering that the only way we know to put you back is my sister, and we don't know a way to do that without taking Dawn with you, I think you can live with a little time in the past. [she gives a bit of a shrug] Do you have a hot date or something?

Ben: I could stay if you're offering.

Peter: [growls]

Ben: Sorry, Papa Wolf. Your girl's hot and it's been awhile.

Sam: [nope, that pretty much sealed the deal on Ben being Dean's son]

Buffy: [.....] Wow, that was so much more adorable when you were fourteen. [she sighs] Look, your options are as follows: wait here for us to figure out a solution - not recommended. Or come back with us for a shower with actual running water, a hot meal, and a nice bed to sleep in.

Olivia: [there's a beat] You mean like ... with actual hot water? [and then she looks at Ben. Because showers.]

Ben: [licks his lips, looking at Michael and Olivia. And then she's giving him the puppy eyes and he just got her back and really, Olivia gets what she wants in this family unit] Fine, but I'm not riding with him. [motions at Dean with his head]

Chris: [who has remained quiet until now] You can ride with us. [he puts a hand on both Allison and Isaac's shoulder] I have room for six in the SUV.

Dean: [eyebrows raise, but he doesn't argue it, glancing at Michael and Olivia] What about you two?

Michael: [glances to his sister, and she shrugs. He shrugs back] We'll ride wherever we fit.

Spike: [Dawn raises her hand slowly, but Spike cuts her off] Don't worry nibblet. I've got the bug ship here somewhere. I'll give you the express ride for you and the pup back to your wolf.

Dawn: [small smile] Thank you. [because she can imagine that Derek is probably freaking out at best]

Ben: [to Michael and Olivia] We're sticking together. [and so that means they all will be going with the Argents]

Peter: Looks like we get back seat to the Winchester mind boggle.

Buffy: Joy. This won't be awkward at all.

Spike: [goes out to signal his ship]

Olivia: [glances back at Sam for a moment, before nodding and turning back to Ben] Okay. [she starts to make the way out of the warehouse and head towards the cars when she sees the Impala and she stops. She's never actually seen it intact before]

Ben: [stops beside her a moment. He only remembers it from his childhood, and the rusted out husk at the camp] Come on, Liv. [he ushers the two kids into the SUV and looks at Chris a moment before holding out his hand to the other adult male] I'm Ben.

Chris: Chris.

Ben: Care to fill me in on this place while you drive?

Chris: Sure. We've got a few hours. [how does he get the strays?]

Peter: Oh, I'm sure I can distract you in the backseat.

Sam: [rolls his eyes] Sure you don't want to ride with Spike and Dawn?

Peter: Positive.

Buffy: It's really for the best we don't. That's just asking for ... stupid testosterone fueled behavior. [she glances back to Angel] You good to get back to LA from here?

Angel: [he nods] I brought the car.

Buffy: [nods as well, before reaching over and placing a hand on his arm] Thank you for helping.

Angel: [he nods with a small smile] I'm just glad Dawn is okay. [and with that, he disappears into the shadows as he do.]

Spike: [slowly a ship descends from the sky, and as the gangplank descends, bug like creatures can be seen at the top] There we are. All aboard.

Cora: [starts to head that way before] Do you think we could stop at McDonalds?

Spike: [he smirks] Sure. I'm sure you both could eat.

Ben: [looks at the ship dubiously] What the hell is that?

Allison: Apparently it's a bug ship. I didn't ask. I didn't want to know. [and she's just going to curl up with Isaac in the back seat don't mind her]

Isaac: [is very happy just with the cuddling and will probably fall asleep on the ride just like that.]

Peter: [will be having a pretty much similar pose with Buffy, falling asleep easily in the Impala]

Sam: [isn't even sure what to ask, and by then the wolf is asleep and he's not waking him]

Ben & Chris: [Chris catches Ben up on the world and Beacon Hills and basic intel the kid - obviously a soldier - would want to know. and the trio in the ship is off to see Derek so grumpy wolf can be tackled by his sister tomorrow when you get to work]
