puppy love } { of mates and second first dates

Parrish: [and since Ryan Kelley can't take a picture in a nice outfit EVER, you can just imagine him in a nice pair of pants, shirt and a jacket as he gets out of the car and goes up to the house]

Laura: [and when she hears the knock on the door, she will dart down the stairs trying to get to the door before anyone else in the house does, hopping as she tries to get her shoes on, and once that's done, takes a few moments to smooth herself down and make it look like she totally wasn't rushing at all. she pulls open the door and is all smiles] Hey.

Parrish: [and he will smile that bright smile of his, seeing her] Hey. You look beautiful. You have a hot date or something?

Laura: Maybe. But this cute guy I used to know totally asked me out, and if he plays his cards right, he might get lucky.

Parrish: I personally think he's lucky getting to have the pleasure of your company, but I bet the sex is the icing on the cake.

Laura: [and that makes her smile wider] I like the way you think.

Parrish: So I don't see this guy around so maybe I could take his place? I just happen to have a reservation at this nice pub down in old town.

Laura: Oooh. Well, if he's not going to show, I would hate to think I got all dressed up for nothing.

Landon: OH MY GOD, we get it, you're both adorable and flirty, now go already.

Parrish: [confused because who was that]

Laura: [rolls her eyes and shouts over her shoulder] Thanks for ruining the moment, Landon.

Landon: My pleasure.

Laura: [shakes her head before stepping out of the house] Sorry about that.

Parrish: You have way too many people in that house. [and he will guide her to the car and open the door for her]

Laura: [she laughs as she slides into the passenger's seat] True. But it's good though. It actually makes it feel like home.

Parrish: That is good. [and he will run around to the driver's side and start them off] So how was your week?

Laura: Good. Cooked lots of food and fed lots of people.

Parrish: Wonderful. Happy bellies mean people less likely to commit homicides and give me work to do.

Laura: Exactly. We benefit each other.

Parrish: [smiles] It makes the city a better place.

Laura: I agree.

Parrish: [and it won't take them long to get to Old Town, where he will find a place to park and then help her out of the car] I hope you like Irish music.

Laura: I wouldn't say it's my favorite, but I can live with it.

Parrish: Then I'll just have to get you drunk enough to like it and dance with me.

Laura: [she laughs] Yeah, my metabolism is already rooting against you. [because she knows he knows she's a werewolf at this point?]

Parrish: [he does] You can at least fake it for me. But we can start with the hard stuff.

Laura: Well, I don't mind dancing, no matter the music, so you don't have to worry about my alcohol intake.

Parrish: Alright, but no complaining about my dancing then. [grins]

Laura: [she laughs] I will do my best.

Parrish: [and they will walk into the pub that has two floors. The top floor is the one with the live band, bar, and the dance floor. The bottom floor is the restaurant and the music is muted well enough. Patrons can go to the bar anytime, but the restaurant is reservation only which Parrish has one, so they are seated right away]

Laura: [and she'll settle across from him before looking around] Have you been here before?

Parrish: Yeah, a few times. Sheriff and I live a few blocks away.

Laura: [she nods] So what's good? [she's never been, and recommendations are usually the best place to start]

Parrish: Well, the Shepard's Pie is great. [and he will rattle on about the menu]

Laura: [and she will nod and listen before eventually settling on the strip steak]

Parrish: [and because he doesn't want to mess up his good clothes, he'll get the fish & chips]

Laura: So how's the sheriff settling in?

Parrish: Good. There's a couple of private security firms courting him for a cushy administrative job.

Laura: Good. I'm sure it'll keep him busy when Ben doesn't.

Parrish: [laughs] Yeah, that kid is a bundle of energy.

Laura: He is, but he's a good kid, and doesn't get into too much trouble.

Parrish: I hear he also has a girlfriend now?

Laura: [laughs] Oh yeah. Not really girlfriend, but her name is Hope. She's the daughter of someone Stiles works with.

Parrish: He talks about he all the time.

Laura: They're pretty much best friends. And Hope is a sweetheart.

Parrish: If she can put up with his antics, she's a saint.

Laura: I think she's more than a little guilty of a few of her own.

Parrish: Oh, I'm sure. [and he's finishing his meal] I guess I should ask if that's something you want some day. Kids of your own, I mean.

Laura: [considers for a moment, before nodding with agreement] Someday, with the right guy, yeah.

Parrish: Because I was thinking, you have a habit of taking in strays you may not need any. [chuckles]

Laura: [she laughs] Yeah, but that's not the same as them being mine. Besides, I need an heir, so there will have to be at least one, probable daughter.

Parrish: Probable daughter?

Laura: First children of the alphas in my family are always girls. Have been going back ... fifteen generations at this point?

Parrish: So if you had a boy, it's a bad sign.

Laura: No, not at all. It would just be ... very surprising.

Parrish: Got it.

Laura: What about you? Looking for a family one day?

Parrish: [hesitates a moment] It would be nice. Just after my divorce, I thought that maybe it would be better if I didn't. Stuff like that does a blow to your ego, you know?

Laura: [her face softens at that] Maybe. But just because you haven't found the right person yet, doesn't mean you should rule it out.

Parrish: No, probably not. I guess I'll just leave it up to fate.

Laura: [nods as she finishes up her own food. She prefers making her own fate, but probably not the fight to have on a first date]

Parrish: [second date, and yeah. But they have one very big difference in their lives that makes him unsure of having that ability]

Laura: [technically second first date. she looks up after a moment and decides to change the subject] Alright. You promised me dancing.

Parrish: That I did. Let me get our tab moved upstairs and we can go do that.

Laura: [nods with a smile and waits for him to do that before following him up]

Parrish: [which he does easily, giving a cash tip to their waitress before taking Laura's hand and heading for the narrow staircase leading them to the rowdy band, the bar, and lots of drunk people having fun]

Laura: [which is definitely a fun scene and she will happily pull him onto the floor for some dancing]

Parrish: [and DAMN he got a natural 20 so he's totally going to sweep her off her feet!]

Laura: [color her impressed. so impressed, in fact, that she rolled a five and may step on his feet once or twice]

Parrish: [eh, whatever, he's having fun with a beautiful woman. He'll survive]

Laura: [Yep, and those dance skills are definitely very sexy, his chances of getting lucky definitely went up]

Parrish: [and once they have their fill, they can slip out to walk along the tinkly light lit street and walk hand in hand]

Laura: [yep, and take a chance to breathe from the heat of the pub] That was fun.

Parrish: It was. I think it was a great first of many dates.

Laura: Oh yeah. Especially if you keep showing off those dance moves. [teasing]

Parrish: I don't think I'll ever be that good again. I achieved the optimal balance of alcohol and happiness.

Laura: [she laughs] I don't know. I have faith that I will see them again some day.

Parrish: I have better moves, but they really aren't meant for public consumption.

Laura: Are they meant for my consumption?

Parrish: Only if you're lucky. But I hear tonight is a night were we both may just be

Laura: Well, I'm already pretty sure you're getting lucky.

Parrish: I guess then we just need to figure out where we want to go next then.

Laura: [she takes a deep breath] I don't know if we have many options there. Unless you want to go for a drive?

Parrish: We can do that. Find someplace we can be alone and talk. [he squeezes her hand]

Laura: [she nods and squeezes back] Let's go, then.

Parrish: [and so he will lead Laura back to his car and they will drive off] Do you have any ideas on where you want me to go? You know the area better than I do.

Laura: [she nods before glancing back to him] Do you have to work tomorrow?

Parrish: Not unless there's a murder.

Laura: Okay. [and she'll give him directions that will probably lead them driving a considerable way, out to a beach-like area she knows]

Parrish: [yup, probably along the Chesapeake Bay where there are hardly any lights and a sky full of stars]

Laura: [yep. and she'll climb out of the car and go to sit on the hood so she can look up. It's still warm, but she doesn't seem to mind] I love it out here.

Parrish: [and he will go to join her, leaning against the car next to her.] It's beautiful. The stars go on for miles.

Laura: [she nods] It reminds me of home.

Parrish: Just with a lot less trees?

Laura: [she nods] I come out here when I miss home more than I'd like.

Parrish: [and he will look over to her with a sympathetic face, reaching out to take one of her hands and held it]

Laura: [she takes his hand and squeezes it back] It's different for me than it is for them. In a lot of ways my ... identity was tied to those woods. It'll take a while before the new house will feel the same way.

Parrish: Your siblings don't have the duty you were born to take. They get to have their own lives while you have a path set for you.

Laura: Yeah, and it sucks sometimes.

Parrish: Is it lonely though- having that distance between all of you?

Laura: Yeah. My mom had my dad and Peter, but ... I kind of alienated Derek and Cora and ... I can't ask Peter to be my second. He's not ... present the way he should be.

Parrish: So is that where Raph fits in?

Laura: [she shakes her head] He's a good friend but he's not ... that. Not yet. [sighs] She and his cousin were already wolves, and their pack got wiped out by hunters. They needed an alpha, but they didn't need ... me. [she rolls her eyes up a bit] It's a weird kind of bond to explain.

Parrish: But your second has to be a wolf, so who's left?

Laura: I don't know. [she glances down] Maybe I'll have to ... make them. Which ... is not an idea I'm fond of, to be honest.

Parrish: Do they have to be?

Laura: For my second? Yeah. But as a mate ... no. [and she looks at him, because she clearly sees him as more of the latter than the former]

Parrish: Then I guess I need to apply for the second position. [and he will lean in to kiss her]

Laura: [and she will kiss him back eagerly, sliding her arms around his neck] I was hoping you'd say that.

Parrish: [and he will shift himself so that he is standing between her legs as he leans over to kiss her, his hands resting on her ribs]

Laura: [and she hums, leaning into his touch, before pulling back with a small sigh] A mate is different. [her legs curl up, pulling him in closer] A mate is mine, because I have to trust them with me.

Parrish: [chuckles as he almost falls on top of her with that] So no sharing. I can do that. [and his fingers will go to play with the edge of her dress hem] Do you trust me?

Laura: [looks up at him and nods, one hand moving over his] Yeah. I do.

Parrish: [and he will quickly shrug his jacket off to give her something to use as a pillow, and then he will go back to her dress hem and tease it upward so that his hand can run along her skin beneath it]

Laura: [she shifts her hips, leaning back against his jacket and letting him push her skirt up as she pulls him in for a kiss]

Parrish: [he’s not going to put her into a position where she might be exposed, but that few inches was all he needed to slide her even closer, pressing her hips to his as he kissed her deeper. One had slid up to caress her breast through the fabric of the dress, knowing now just how to tease it just right]

Laura: [she moans as she hooks her legs around him more, her hips pressing up to meet him with a slow rock]

Parrish: [and he will groan against her lips, and she will feel his reaction growing nice and hard]

Laura: [yep, she definitely does, and she'll let her hands slide down over his torso, starting to undo his belt]

Parrish: [well if she's going to wander down below with her hands, so will he. Which will have a hand cupping her sex and then sliding under her panties]

Laura: [and that gets more happy noises from her as she lifts her hips to meet his fingers, and her hand works their way into his pants to wrap around them]

Parrish: [and they are just going to tease each other on the hood of his car, him sliding fingers up into her to thrust inside of her, his fingers curling to find that spot deep in there]

Laura: [and her hips shift a bit as she rises and falls against his fingers, stroking him slowly so that he doesn't go too far too fast]

Parrish: [and eventually he will leave her lips to kiss along her neck] I need to get my condoms...

Laura: [whimpers and nods, shifting to release him so he can do that]

Parrish: [and they are in the car, so he's going to have to really pull away from her to awkwardly go around to her side of the car]

Laura: [and she will lean back against the car, trying to control her breathing a bit, but that won't stop her hands from wandering to trail along the inside of her thighs gently to keep herself stimulated]

Parrish: [and he will come back after putting the condom on and look at her] You look like you don't need me.

Laura: [looks up with a half laugh] I'd rather have you.

Parrish: Then you'll just have to give me this show another time. [and he will slide back between her legs, pulling her close]

Laura: [she grins a bit at that, before she lifts up and slides down onto him, moaning softly at the stretch of him from this angle]

Parrish: [he groans as well, feeling her tightness gripping him. Once he's nice and deep, he is going to shift and hold her hips, and then start to thrust in and out as a moderate pace, keeping them going, but not hitting that edge right away.]

Laura: [she's all for taking their time, her fingers gripping his shoulders and using it for leverage to roll her hips against him]

Parrish: [and they can keep it up for a while, but soon, he's going to need more and things will speed up, getting a bit harder, a bit deeper as he groans against her neck]

Laura: [shifts one hand to the car to give her more leverage, rocking her hips up and down against him and burying her face in his shoulder and nosing at the nape of his neck]

Parrish: Oh god.... fuck Laura... [and he's going to slide his hand down to rub at her clit because he's almost there]

Laura: [she's almost there too, her lips trailing against his neck, and nipping lightly with her human teeth as she falls over the edge]

Parrish: [that nip sends him over and he all but slams himself home, getting nice and deep with a few hard thrusts before he just holds her close, breathing hard against her neck]

Laura: [she sighs as she lets him lean into her nuzzling him for a moment as he keeps her close. Eventually she pulls back just enough to look at him and winces] I think I might have given you a hickey.

Parrish: I heal fast. Don't worry. [and he will kiss her fears away]

Laura: [kisses him back, sliding her arms around his waist with a happy sigh]

Parrish: [and when he pulls back] And if we're this good at it on the first date, imagine what we'll be like on date 100.

Laura: [hums, pleased] Hopefully we'll have a place that's ours by then.

Parrish: You'd move out of that house to be with me?

Laura: I don't know. I need the house to center me. But maybe there will be less people in it all the time? Or maybe we will be somewhere else. But there are options, down the line.

Parrish: Well, if we're going to be dating, Laura, I do have one condition on this. No being somewhere else. No disappearing in the middle of the night and running again.

Laura: [she shakes her head] We're not. We're in a stronger position here with a stronger pack. I'm not going anywhere.

Parrish: Okay, you had me worried there a second.

Laura: No, I meant we'll have our own place. But technically the house is in my name so I can just kick everyone out if you wanted to move in there. [not that she would, but she would divide up the house a little more to give them more privacy]

Parrish: Could always make a second house on the property.

Laura: We'll figure it out later. This is only our first date, after all.

Parrish: I know, but confession? Ever since Sheriff got the call that Stiles found you guys... you've pretty much been on my mind.

Laura: [she smiles a bit at that] It was always really hard to find someone to live up to you.

Parrish: So I did make an impression on you?

Laura: Of course you did. [her hands come up to rest against his chest] Leaving you was the hardest part of leaving.

Parrish: [smiles at her at that, holding her hands with his own] Well, you don't have to do that ever again. Because I'm not going anywhere.

Laura: [looks up with a smile] Good.

Parrish: So, I'm up for a few more rounds of this if you are. The back seat is pretty nice and I even have handcuffs in the glovebox. [smirks]

Laura: [she laughs, before nodding as she pulls him in] I could definitely go for that.

Parrish: Good. You can be either the thief or the cop. I'm good either way as long as it's with you.

Laura: [her teeth rake over her bottom lip a bit] I think I'm good with you being the cop.

Parrish: So you'll let me handcuff you?

Laura: [she nods, because she trusts him. she wouldn't do it for anyone else, but she'd do it for him] If you want to.

Parrish: [and she will feel him getting hard against inside of her at the thought of her handcuffed on her knees in front of him] Maybe later. When you aren't expecting it.

Laura: [she bites down on her bottom lip again as she pulls him in for a kiss] Works for me.

Parrish: [and he will kiss her, but he is going to take a moment and then pull away, going to kneel down and pull her panties off this time] Here, hold this. [and he will hand them to her as he then goes down on her]

Laura: [she takes them, and then shifts back to lean against his car, rolling her hips gently towards the press of his lips]

Parrish: [and he is going to just enjoy playing with her, wanting to make her enjoy herself a bit]

Laura: [and she does not complain, riding out the sensations as her hand scrambles to find purchase on the hood of the car]

Parrish: [and he's going to get her off at least once before he will playfully wrap her legs around his waist and go to pick her up] Backseat time now.

Laura: [she laughs as she slides her arms around his shoulders] Yes, sir.

Parrish: [and he will deposit her in the backseat before he leans over the seat to grab another condom, his shaft sticking out straight in front of her]

Laura: [and she'll reach forward and slide her hand around him, going back to those long slow strokes. with the other guys she's been with after she left she needs all the control, and she doesn't let them call any of the shots. But with him, it's different. With him, she has no trouble letting him take over and not having to control everything for once]

Parrish: [and he will groan, and then hand her the condom] Since you're down there.

Laura: [she laughs, before taking the condom and slipping it on him] There.

Parrish: Good. [and he's going to slide in beside her, and then pull her onto him and in his lap]

Laura: [which she will happily go, adjusting her skirt so that she can slide down onto him slowly]

Parrish: [and he will kiss her, his hands going to pull her dress up over her head so he can really get at those breasts now]

Laura: [well if she's going to get naked, so should he, so she's going to start going for the buttons on his shirt]

Parrish: [now that they are in the car and not in the public eye, he will be glad with that and help her, and then go for her bra. This time is a lot more urgent, unbridled and wanting to just screw her brains out, and his lips will latch onto a nipple once her bra is gone]

Laura: [she is all for that, her fingers dragging through his hair as she rolls her hips down into him, trying to keep has hard and steady a pace as possible]

Parrish: [and he's going to groan, and maybe growl a bit, as he teases her nipple while his fingers thread into her hair and pull her head back, gently-ish]

Laura: [she lets him have access to her neck, not tipping her head back too much that it hurt, but just enough to show the submission he was looking for, still keeping her hips going as steadily as she could]

Parrish: [and he will kiss up to kiss along her neck, playfully biting her this time to return that bruise now that her neck and throat was bent. He will let her hair go a moment after as that hand needs to go play with her nub since he's getting close now]

Laura: [she keens softly at the press of him against her, starting to get close herself. It doesn't take much longer, before she's tipping over the edge and dropping in against him]

Parrish: [and he will follow, getting nice and deep before relaxing back against the seat, pulling her in to snuggle closer]

Laura: [she settles comfortably against him, nuzzling the nape of his neck gently as she comes down]

Parrish: [kisses the side of her head] I love you.

Laura: [it should be too fast. but maybe it's just a holdover from what they had before but it feels right] I love you too.

Parrish: [it should be, especially since he's just getting over a divorce, but it does feel 100% right]

Laura: [tips her head up to kiss him softly before tipping her head to the side] Stay with me tonight?

Parrish: I'll stay as long as you want me.

Laura: Good. [she smiles softly, before shifting off him slowly] But if we're going to sleep, we should go somewhere with an actual bed.

Parrish: There was a non murdery looking motel a bit back.

Laura: Or we could just go back to my house.

Parrish: We can do that. Will your dad try to shoot me?

Laura: He's probably asleep at this point. But no, he wouldn't. He liked you.

Parrish: Good, because I'm too old to be climbing in my girlfriend's window.

Laura: [she laughs] Don't worry. I wouldn't ask you to.

Parrish: Then let's go.

Laura: [and they will get dressed and drive back to the Hale house]

Parrish: [and he will be ready to deal with Landon and Raph if they make comments]

Laura: [nope, they'll just quietly sneak their way through unless they're going to be assaulted by a six year-old who can't sleep]

Ben: [yup!] Aunt Laura. [rubbing his eyes while holding his pillow]

Laura: [and she'll let go of Parrish's hand before going to crouch across from him] What's wrong, Benny boy?

Ben: I can't sleep. The monster in my closet is snoring.

Laura: Oh, well, we can't have that. [and she'll reach forward to scoop him up, making his way back towards his room]

Ben: [and he will snuggle into his aunt's neck, but drops his pillow] My pillow!

Parrish: I got it, Mini Stiles.

Laura: [glances back at him with a "thank you" before turning and leading the way back into the little boy's room] Now show me where this monster is.

Ben: [and when they get to the room, he will point at his closet] He's in there.

Laura: [she eyes the door for a moment] Well, let's get him out of there. I don't like monsters in my closets and I am the boss of this house. What do you think?

Ben: You're the alpha. You can make him go away.

Laura: You got it. [and she'll reach for the knob on the door, her eyes flashing red as she opens the door with a snarl that's fairly loud, but hopefully not loud enough to wake the other wolves in the house, and with a bit of alpha voice] This isn't your closet.

Ben: [and he looks in as well, feeling brave] Get out!

Parrish: [covering his mouth with his hand because this is adorable]

Laura: [she waits for a moment, before pulling back to look at Ben] Did I get him?

Ben: [looks in more] I don't hear him snoring any more.

Laura: Good. Hopefully he'll stay out. [and she'll close the door, before kissing the top of his head] Think you're ready to go back to bed now?

Ben: I can try. Can I sleep with you if he comes back?

Laura: [hesitates and glances over at Parrish] Tell you what. If he comes back, I'll come here and stay with you, okay?

Ben: Oh kay.

Laura: Okay. Let's get you into bed. [and she'll go to tuck him back in]

Parrish: [and he will give Ben his pillow] Don't forget this.

Ben: [looking up] Why aren't you with Grandpa, Uncle Jordan?

Parrish: Because I'm spending the night with your Aunt Laura.

Ben: [watches them a moment, then looks at Laura] Is he your boyfriend?

Laura: [she glances back at Parrish again before nodding] Yeah, he is.

Ben: Are you going to get married?

Laura: [she laughs] Maybe, one day. We don't know now though.

Parrish: It's a little too early for that, Benny.

Ben: Oh.

Laura: But when we figure that out, you will be the first to know, okay?

Ben: [his eyes wide] You will tell me before Momma?

Laura: You bet.

Ben: [and he is going to smile and curl into his blanket] Cool.

Laura: [smiles softly] Good. [and she'll make sure he's settled before leaning in to kiss the top of his head] Sleep well, kiddo.

Ben: Goodnight. [and he will cuddle up and fall back asleep]

Parrish: [from the door, watching them] You're good with him

Laura: [she shrugs a bit as she closes the door behind her] We all kind of raised him together at first. He gave us something to focus on other than what was behind us.

Parrish: I know he thinks the world of you.

Laura: [she nods, can't help but hoping it stays that way] C'mon. My room's over here.

Parrish: [and he will take her hand and let her lead the way]

Laura: [and she will let them into the master, with a big comfy bed to curl up in. she'll head to her closet for some pjs just in case Ben decides he can't sleep] Unfortunately I don't think I have anything for you.

Parrish: I'll stay in my boxers. Ben's used to crawling into my bed while I'm in them before.

Laura: Okay. [and she'll pull back the covers and give him room to slide in with her]

Parrish: [which he will do, pulling her into his arms once she's in the bed as well]

Laura: [and she will curl up easily, letting her head rest against his chest as she closes her eyes] Night.

Parrish: Night.

Laura: [and off to sleep they go]

Parrish: [yup. /scene]
