Parrish: I know, but if it's because of this guy running around and I stay here... I need to help them.

Laura: I know. [but she's going to worry while he's gone anyway] Be careful.

Parrish: I'll try. [and he's going to get up and look at his chest which is now mostly healed, then lean back down to kiss her] I'll be back soon.

Laura: [sighs as she kisses him back, before going to curl up in the warm spot he left behind, as though she might go back to sleep, but she probably won't]

Parrish: [and he will end up in the field, and then doing paperwork, and then talking to Lydia and refusing to let her go to Eichen so he goes and then he's deputy popsicle]

Lydia: [which Lydia will come save him from because YOU DON'T GO TO EICHEN ALONE EITHER]

Parrish: [nope, too cold to talk, but thank you Lydia]

Lydia: [she will put him in the car and turn off the ac, rolling down the windows so that the summer heat comes in. It's annoying, but he needs to warm up] Want me to take you home?

Parrish: She's going to be pissed.

Lydia: Is that a yes or a no?

Parrish: [nope, there is no way this will end well. he just will get yelled at less if he went home] Home.

Lydia: [nods and starts the car as they drive back to their apartment for the second time that night]

Parrish: [and the summer air is not doing much to warm his bone deep cold] I don't understand why he would do that.

Lydia: [sighs softly] He was scared.

Parrish: Why? I've never hurt the guy before? I've helped him.

Lydia: He's also spent a lot of years managing the closed ward of Eichen House. [and that's where the scariest of them go] I don't think it's all him, though. I think it's something else.

Parrish: The thing the other hellhound is looking for?

Lydia: [she nods] Yeah. Maybe. But we'll never know now.

Parrish: [nods, and nope, still doesn't like that there are ways to kill him now]

Lydia: [and she will pull up to the building and park] You okay to get in on your own?

Parrish: Yeah, I think I can do it. [shivers] At least I still have my uniform this time.

Lydia: [she smirks] Small favors.

Parrish: [and he will manage to get out of the car with one final thanks, and then head up to the cabin trying not to look like he's a recently thawed Captain America]

Laura: [there's the smell of cupcakes lingering in the air from the kitchen, since when she's worried, she bakes, but Laura is back in bed at this point, having managed to burn off enough nervous energy to pass out again]

Parrish: [and he knows that he needs to warm himself up a bit before going to bed - otherwise he will freak Laura out with more than just cold feet - so he goes to make a fire in the fireplace and then heads to take a shower, first with the uniform still on, and then stripping it off as the fabric loosens to let him remove it]

Laura: [and she won't notice at first, but eventually she'll smell the fire and she'll jerk up into a sitting position, because there's nothing that will wake her up from a dead sleep more than a fire] Jordan?

Parrish: [and he will be coming out of the shower and wrapping himself up in a robe] Yeah?

Laura: [relaxes a bit, but still confused] You started a fire?

Parrish: Yeah. I'm kinda cold and need to warm up a bit. [and he's going to shuffle into the bedroom door but keeping the lights off so she doesn't see the fading blue tinted skin] You made cupcakes?

Laura: I was nervous and couldn't sleep, so I baked.

Parrish: I find that habit of yours adorable, for the record.

Laura: I think you just like the cupcakes.

Parrish: I'm not complaining. [and he shivers a bit] In fact, I think I'm going to go enjoy a few by the fire. [the unspoken question of her joining him is a given]

Laura: [she'll get up to do that but frown all the same] Why are you cold?

Parrish: Um... yeah, about that. [and he is going to tuck his hands into the robe's pockets] That body in the woods... that was the other hellhound.

Laura: [her eyes widen] What?

Parrish: Yeah. So Sheriff had me track down information on him and Lydia came to help.

Laura: [still digesting that bit of information and just let him continue] Okay ...

Parrish: So i came up with nothing, but Lydia's bansheeness came up with a link to Eichen House. After what happened to her, I refused to let her go back there so I went and talked to the doctor I normally deal with.

Laura: By yourself.

Parrish: I just went looking for information and to talk to a doctor. I wasn't expecting to be thrown into a holding cell and have the room temperature dropped down to below freezing. Though I did learn that the hellhound was kept there since 1912. He was the one who made Eichen House.

Laura: [throwing the actual bit of information in there after the fact is hot helping your case, Parrish, and she makes her way closer, inspecting him like she's expecting to still find him hurt somehow] Are you okay?

Parrish: I'm okay, just freezing.

Laura: [her face softens a bit, reaching forward to rub his arms idly as though that will help] Why didn't Lindsay go with you?

Parrish: I... didn't ask her too.

Laura: [she gives him a bit of a look at that] You have a partner for a reason. Next time, bring her.

Parrish: Oh, I will. She'll make sure of it once she hears about this.

Laura: Good. [sighs] If there's someone out there with something that can kill a hellhound I need you to be safe.

Parrish: [nods] trust me, I'm not all that comforted knowing that I can be killed after all.

Laura: [she nods slowly] Or that someone can just put you on ice.

Parrish: We knew about the cold tolerance before, but not like that.

Laura: Well, yes, but I didn't know there was a custom hellhound containment room in Eichen House either. Before it was just the Argents and I trusted Chris enough to leave you there.

Parrish: [sighs] The doctor killed all the closed ward patients, Laura. And that wasn't like him.

Laura: [her eyes widen a bit at that] What?

Parrish: He killed them all. The bodies are piles in the shower with electrical current running through them just in case he didn't succeed.

Laura: Did you tell the sheriff?

Parrish: Not yet. I need to. [his brain is a bit frozen still]

Laura: [she nods] You sit. I'll get your phone.

Parrish: It um... it probably won't work. [what is the freeze resistance on a windows phone anyway?]

Laura: [a pause, and she redirects] I'll get my phone.

Parrish: [and he will go and head towards the fire, going to sit on the floor in front of it]

Laura: [and she will come back a little bit later with her phone and a cupcake] Here.

Parrish: [looks up at her and smiles, going to take them both. His cold fingers will brush her hand as he does so] Thank you.

Laura: [she shrugs, before settling next to him, wrapping one arm around his and leaning to rest her head against his shoulder in an attempt to at least warm part of him]

Parrish: [he will lean back into her as he calls the Sheriff's office, hoping that it's Stilinski and not Mills. Mills will mom-worry at him]

Jody: [today is not your lucky day, sorry Parrish] Beacon County Sheriff Department.

Parrish: [winces] Hey Sheriff, I'm checking in.

Jody: Everything okay?

Parrish: Not really. I went to Eichen House to follow up on a lead on the victim.

Jody: What'd you find?

Parrish: His name was Halwyn, and he was in the closed unit. Dr. Fenris he.... he killed all the patients in the closed unit, ma'am.

Jody: What? [and she's gesturing for one of the deputies to come closer for marching orders] Where's Fenris now?

Parrish: Dead, ma'am.

Jody: Okay. I'm sending up a deputy to meet you now.

Parrish: I'm not there. I'm home. I had to get out of there.

Jody: Okay. Then I will send two deputies and you are still taking tomorrow off.

Parrish: Yes ma'am.

Jody: Good. I'll check in with you later.

Parrish: Yes ma'am. [and he will hang up because nope, not telling her what happened to him.]

Laura: [sighs as she looks up at him] You still okay?

Parrish: I'm feeling warmer. I just felt like I was frozen to the bone. I could barely move.

Laura: So you're kind of like a lizard. [a bit of a teasing smirk]

Parrish: [nope, puppy eyes at her] I'm not a lizard.

Laura: [smirks as she moves to shift into his lap, providing a little more direct warmth] You're a little like a lizard. Cold slows you down.

Parrish: It turned me into a popsicle.

Laura: Mmmm. [slides her arms around his neck] Can I help you warm up?

Parrish: I'm more worried that I might freeze you.

Laura: Well, lucky for you, I naturally produce heat.

Parrish: Technically I do too.

Laura: Then maybe between the two of us we can ... generate some heat.

Parrish: [and it will take him a moment and he will look over at her because is she suggesting they do that to warm him up?]

Laura: [and she raises an eyebrow because to be honest, he probably needs to get his heart pumping and this is an easy and fun way to do that]

Parrish: [chuckles] God I love you. However I'm not sure if I'm not solid down there in the wrong way.

Laura: [she laughs] Then we can work up to it. We have time. Amelia shouldn't be up for a while.

Parrish: Good thing we live off the main trail. We can just stay here by the fire.

Laura: Mmmm-hmmm. [she nods before leaning in to kiss him, because she doesn't like that he's cold and would like him to be a little warmer]
