Kara: [it had taken some coercing - meaning she hadn't told anyone else that she was going to try and get Cora to come but she was Concerned, and when someone from the house of El is Concerned in anyone's general direction, it kind of makes it hard to say no. It also helped that she promised they were going somewhere quiet, and Cora's feeling a little more comfortable with where she is in National City. So true to form, Kara bounces in smiling like sunshine before gesturing to her companion] Look who I ran into on my way in.

Cora: [it was not on her way in, it took a lot of persuasion, but Cora doesn't correct her on that. Instead she just waves.] Hi.

Stiles: [is already into his second beer with the boys. His face lights up when he sees her] Hey you!

Kara: I told her she could not miss karaoke night.

Cora: Even though I will not be singing. [and she slides into the booth to sit across from Stiles]

James: Stiles will, so you'll still be tortured.

Stiles: Har de har.

Cora: I've heard it before. I think I can survive.

Stiles: Winn's the one we're here to watch.

Cora: I will take your word for it. But do I still get drinks even if I'm not singing?

Stiles: Obviously. [and he will order another round]

Cora: [and while she is catching up to them drink wise, Kara, James and Winn will be going to pick their songs for their turn at the mic] So do you guys do this a lot?

Stiles: Almost every week. Let's us blow off steam.

Cora: Same place every time?

Stiles: Yup. We aren't seen as the weird ones here.

Cora: Good to know, I guess. [she still seems a little jumpy, being somewhere this public that she doesn't know well, but Kara is here and so is Stiles so she'll be fine. Probably.]

Stiles: Hey, we come here enough to know everyone. everything's fine.

Cora: What? [and then she realizes she's being jumpy and shakes her head] Sorry. I just haven't been out in a while.

Stiles: Just means you need to join us more often.

Cora: Maybe. [she knows she can't get used to something unless she does it] As long as we keep coming here, I guess.

Stiles: It's a good place.

Cora: It seems like it.
