spamalot } { of unexpected inheritances and mia boyfriends
Wallace: I am actually here to deliver this to young Master Dunbar. [holds out an envelope from the European Probate Court]
Fiona: [eyes him some more before holding out her hand for it] I'll give it to him.
Wallace: [nods, handing it to her, and then holding out a clipboard] I will need your signature to ensure that the courts are satisfied that Master Dunbar will be made aware of his inheritance.
Liam: [hearing the voice and going to sit on the stairs from his room, just out of sight of the doorway]
Fiona: [she nods, and signs the space, before handing it back] Is there anything else?
Wallace: That will be all. [and he nods and walks away, his job done. He was left a nice chunk of change so he can retire]
Fiona: [closes the door behind him, and turns back to the rest of the apartment, opening the letter so that she can read what's inside before giving it to Liam]
Wallace: [The letter pretty much is a reading of the estate of Malcolm DeBrier. There was a will in which states that the manor and all it's contents were left to be split by any living heirs. His bank accounts would be used to pay the estate taxes on all property transfers, and then 10% to be split among all staff at that time, and the rest to be split by the heirs. The family ledger only lists one remaining blood heir to the family - Liam Dunbar of Beacon Hills, California. Current estimate of the estate after taxes for Liam is 37.2 billion dollars]
Fiona: Jesus Christ.
Liam: What does it say? [appearing at the bottom of the steps]
Fiona: [glances up at him and her mouth works for a moment, before she tips her head to the side] You just inherited 37.2 billion dollars.
Liam: [shakes his head] I don't want it.
Fiona: [she pauses] You sure about that?
Liam: It's an old crazy man's money and he was going to kill all of you. I want nothing to do with it. [and he's going to run back upstairs and slam his door shut]
Fiona: [just nods slowly, and will go back to whatever it was she was doing and wait for him to come back or Derek to get home, whichever comes first. She knows it's a hot topic right now, so she's not going to get rid of all of it until they can have a talk rationally about it]
Derek: [coming back from setting up his classroom for school to start next week] I'm home.
Fiona: In the kitchen. [she's making dinner, but the letter is sitting open on the counter next to her]
Derek: [wanders in, going to slide his arms around her waist and kiss her neck] Hey.
Fiona: [tips her head back with a smile] Hey. How was work?
Derek: Good. I think I have most of the semester lesson plans worked out and the books ordered.
Fiona: Good. You're ahead of the game.
Derek: When you're teaching teenagers, it's the best place to be.
Fiona: Yep. [there's a beat as she tips her head to the side] So apparently our son is a multibillionaire.
Derek: [blinks] Come again?
Fiona: He inherited everything in DeBrier's estate. 37.2 billion dollars.
Derek: [and he's going to just look at you, Fiona, because] What?
Fiona: [points to the letter for him to read]
Derek: [and he's going to, because what the hell?] He's a minor though. If I recall, he's not able to actually inherit anything until he's of age, unless it's different in England.
Fiona: To hell if I know. I just know that DeBrier's lawyer came by, had me sign for that, and left. I figured I'd have Malia or Sam look at it later.
Derek: Probably a good idea. Maybe Victor too. He may be more in the know about international law like this than Peter. As far as I know, everything the Hales own are domestic assets.
Fiona: [she nods for a moment, before looking back at him] Liam doesn't want it.
Derek: [nods] I don't blame him. But that's a lot of money. I don't think he actually can throw it away.
Fiona: [she nods] I'm just not pushing the issue right now. It's still too soon after everything.
Derek: No, I agree. We can handle it right now for him. Find out what we need to know, and when he's in a better place, we can talk with him.
Fiona: [she nods] If anything we can at least keep enough for him to not worry about college, and then donate the rest.
Derek: We can talk with Victor and see what he thinks. Maybe after a while, Liam can find his own ways to donate it that will make him feel better about it.
Fiona: [she nods] It's still a lot to put on a kid.
Derek: Well, I was given access to a one hundred and seventeen million dollar trust fund when I was twenty one. It's a shock. And added that it's coming from a bad place... he's got years before he even has to touch it. I'm sure in a few years, he'll look at it differently.
Fiona: [she nods, before shaking her head] Maybe it's just because I don't come from money but I just ... can't imagine tossing it away. Not when there's a lot that it can be used for.
Derek: It's actually really hard to toss a large sum of money like that away. If nothing else, the IRS will track anything over a certain amount being transferred.
Fiona: [she nods] I don't really know anything about how it works either.
Derek: We'll talk to Sam and maybe Victor. See what we can figure out.
Fiona: [she nods, and there's a long cry for Mommyyyyyyyy from the just woken up toddler in the other room] And looks like Lucy's up from her nap.
Derek: [laughs] You go get her. I'll finish up dinner.
Fiona: Sounds good. [and she will go back to work]
Liam: [and meanwhile, he's just in his room, texting the boyfriend he really, really wants to see]
Landon: [really wants to see him too, but his mom is still being a tyrant about it]
Liam: Is there anything maybe Dad can do to get you free?
Landon: I think she's still worried that someone's going to come looking for retribution.
Liam: Yeah, well you can tell her that it's official that I'm the only one left in the stupid family line.
Landon: That doesn't mean someone won't come knocking. But what do you mean?
Liam: Mom got some papers from the creepy old human that was there. She said I inherited money from them.
Landon: How much?
Liam: Some crazy number. I think she said like 37 billion.
Landon: Holy shit.
Liam: I don't want it though.
Landon: Are you sure?
Liam: [he thinks about it] My dad's already rich. I don't need it.
Landon: Maybe not. But you could think of it like reparations for pain and suffering. [... in some ways, he is his mother's son]
Liam: What am I going to do with 37 billion dollars?
Landon: Save it. Go to school. Buy a car. Buy a house. Use it to just do whatever the hell you want for the rest of your life. Blow it in Vegas.
Liam: [he manages to at least make Liam smile a bit] Buy my boyfriend fancy dance costumes?
Landon: I didn't want to say it, but the option is there.
Liam: Can it be like those MMA where my name as your sponsor is written across your ass?
Landon: I don't thing Mari would go for it. It would ruin her aesthetic.
Liam: Well, then the deal is off. No sponsorships for you two.
Landon: [and this will just be a snapshot of his pouty face]
Liam: [laughing] You look adorable.
Landon: Thank you.
Liam: I miss you.
Landon: I miss you too.
Liam: Are you sure you can't sneak out?
Landon: Not unless I want to lose a limb.
Liam: Well, maybe you can go for ice cream or something and I just happen to be there?
Landon: She's not letting me out of the house.
Liam: Fine, then I'm going to crawl into your window for once.
Landon: I don't know if that's a good idea.
Liam: I'm tired of feeling like I’m the one being punished because of who I am.
Landon: You're not being punished. I'm being punished, but you're not.
Liam: You didn't do anything wrong though!
Landon: Dude, since when has my mom ever been logical about anything?
Liam: If she was punishing you, why did she send your sister to help then?
Landon: Because she didn't want to punish me that much.
Liam: So what, she going to put some kind of cloaking device on you next week when school starts so i can't see you?
Landon: No, she'll probably let up then. She's more mad at me for letting us get into that situation. I'm supposed to be smarter than that.
Liam: What did she expect you to do?
Landon: I don't know. Not get attached, I guess.
Liam: Too late.
Landon: Tell me about it.
Liam: You know, with 37 billion dollars, I can probably buy you a new limb.
Landon: You could, but probably not one I could dance on.
Liam: 37 billion is a lot of money. And wasn't there some guy with a fake leg on Dancing with the Stars?
Landon: Yeah, but I don't want to be the celebrity guest. I want to be the pro.
Liam: Well that's up to you learning to dance on your fake leg well enough to be a pro. [smirks]
Landon: I think I'd rather stick with the limbs I've got for now.
Liam: [and that's a pouty face snapchat now the other way]
Landon: I'll see you soon, okay? But this isn't something we should cross my mom on for right now. Just give her some time to cool off.
Liam: Okay.
Landon: I love you.
Liam: [smiles at that] I love you too.
Landon: I'll see you soon.
Liam: You better just be ready for me to pretty much be a lemur all over you that day.
Landon: I am a-okay with that.
Liam: Good. And you'll get to meet Gabe too. He arrives tomorrow.
Landon: Sounds good.
Liam: Though until we figure out sleeping arrangements... I got a feeling my bedroom is off limits.
Landon: We'll figure it out.
Liam: 37 billion will buy us a lot of hotel rooms XD
Landon: It definitely will.
Liam: I should probably go down to dinner.
Landon: Okay. I'll see you later.
Liam: [and he's going to make his way downstairs, looking into the kitchen] Can I help with anything?
Fiona: [looks up with a smile] Set the table?
Liam: I can do that. [and he'll go to put the stuff out] We're going to need to get another chair at the table once Landon's mom lets him come back over.
Fiona: He's still on house arrest?
Liam: Yeah. He doesn't want to press his mom on the issue. He thinks she still thinks I'm going to get him killed.
Fiona: I'm sure she'll let up eventually.
Derek: And hey, school starts next week. I doubt she'll keep him out of school.
Fiona: Exactly. She can't do that, she would probably get in trouble.
Liam: I just miss him. [pouty puppy]
Derek: Well, I know it's not the same, but Gabe gets here tomorrow. I'm sure he'll take up more than enough time until school starts.
Fiona: I could try and talk to Mona if you want?
Liam: No, I don't want to make it worse. I just really, really miss him.
Fiona: I know. We miss him too.
Liam: [thinks a moment] Right before everything happened... we was talking to me about being jealous. Cause I mean, I know what he is and what that means, but sometimes I don't really like it when he's looking at other guys and I just get angry.
Derek: [looks at Fiona, mentally asking her if she's fielding this one or him with just a lift of his eyebrow]
Fiona: [she will raise them right back because she's not really sure how to answer that.] Well. Speaking as someone who's been on the receiving end? It's not a fun feeling to think your partner doesn't trust you.
Liam: But I do trust him.
Derek: There are different levels of trust, kiddo.
Fiona: I had this problem with one of my boyfriends who was a wolf and I'm not even a succubus.
Liam: But not dad, right?
Fiona: No. But your dad had the pleasure of being the guy right after. [pats Derek's shoulder] Not as fun as it sounded.
Derek: And even with all that, I was the one with the commitment issues back then.
Liam: [looks up at Derek] Wait, you... what?
Derek: [chuckles]
Fiona: Sweetie, we eloped and it was your idea.
Derek: That was what, a year after we started dating? And I had just been almost killed by hunter said controlling ex-boyfriend sent after me.
Liam: [just blinks and looks at his sister] Lucy, remind me never to ask them about how they met ever again.
Fiona: How we met was actually pretty normal. I walked into the coffee shop where he was working.
Derek: This was before I became a teacher.
Liam: Please tell me Dad was a hipster. [smirks, sitting back in his chair]
Fiona: He used to draw shapes for me in the foam.
Derek: Hey, it got me girls. [holds out his hand at Fiona] Eventually the right one came along.
Liam: [trying not to laugh. nope]
Fiona: [she laughs] Never mind that his sister had to talk him into actually asking me out.
Liam: What? Seriously? Wow, Dad what was wrong with you?
Fiona: [turns and rests her chin in her hand] Yeah, Dad, what was wrong with you?
Derek: Weren't we supposed to be figuring out Liam and Landon's issue?
Fiona: I don't know, this might be more fun.
Derek: [tilts his head, giving her a look]
Liam: You know, if you were having performance issues...
Fiona: [just smirks right back in return. they will get back to helping Liam eventually, but right now she's amused by this]
Derek: [glares at Liam] Grounded. You are so grounded.
Liam: [laughing]
Fiona: [laughing as well] We figured things out eventually, though.
Liam: Well, that's obvious.
Derek: [bringing dinner over to the table]
Fiona: Anyway. This might be something that's better to talk about with your Aunt Cora.
Liam: [thinks] Aunt Cora had trust issues with Uncle Stiles?
Fiona: Not exactly. It was more not trusting herself with the same things you're feeling than not trusting him.
Liam: Oh. [bites his lip] Okay. Can I go downstairs after dinner and see if she's home to talk?
Fiona: Sure. I'm sure she'll be happy to see you.
Liam: [nods, and Derek serves dinner. he thinks a moment, his eyes looking up at the envelope] You guys remember back when you adopted me, about how I really wanted to keep my last name?
Fiona: [she nods] Yeah?
Derek: Yeah, I remember.
Liam: I um... don't get me wrong, I still love my family and miss them. A lot. But I... I just need some distance from it. It doesn't mean I don't love them, right, if I take your name?
Fiona: [reaches over and gives his shoulder a squeeze before shaking her head] No. It doesn't mean that at all.
Derek: You will always be who you are, no matter what your name is. But I'd love you to have my name.
Liam: [bites lip, then nods] It's not too late, right?
Fiona: [she shakes her head] It's never too late for something like that.
Liam: Think we can get it done before school starts?
Derek: That may be pushing it, but I can talk to your teachers about using it and that we're working on it officially.
Liam: [ nods] okay
Fiona: I'll talk to Malia and see if there's any way to fast-track it.
Liam: [he looks back at the envelope again, unsure if he wants to talk about it yet]
Fiona: [she gives his shoulders a soft squeeze, following his eyes back to the envelope] We don't have to talk about it now. We can still give it a little time.
Liam: If I do keep it, people aren't going to come after me still... right?
Derek: The Faggini family was the hunting family after the DeBriers. Mr. Argent talked to them, and about what happened and they agreed to leave you alone if we killed DeBrier. They will never come after you, or any of us.
Fiona: No one else really has a stake in it. ... Except for Landon's sister, though I'm sure she wouldn't mind if you wanted to get rid of part of it by giving it to her.
Liam: I was joking about getting Landon new dance clothes with my name as his sponsor across his butt.
Derek: [chokes on his water]
Fiona: [laughs] I don't think that's regulation.
Liam: He didn't think his dance partner would be into it.
Fiona: Probably not.
Liam: But I can get a new car then? Like, whatever I want?
Derek: You'll also be getting your own car insurance. [smirks]
Fiona: You should talk to your Uncle Victor first before you spend it on anything, and make sure you have a plan in place so you don't blow it before you turn twenty-one, but yes. It'd be your money, to use for whatever you want.
Liam: Is it even possible for me to blow 37 billion dollars in five years? I'm not the US government.
Fiona: [she laughs] You would be surprised.
Liam: Cause Landon said I should look at it like restitution for what I went through.
Fiona: That's not a bad way to look at it. [a beat] Do you want to look at it that way?
Liam: I don't know. I mean, I wouldn't have to ask you guys for anything anymore. You can focus on Lucy and Jake and any other wayward wolves you two take in.
Fiona: True. Though your uncle will probably recommend that we keep the trust for you until you turn twenty-one.
Liam: But I can get the car... now. Right?
Fiona: Probably. Though probably not right away because we have to handle all the probate stuff and figure out the rules of moving the money internationally ... it may be a little complicated.
Liam: [pouts]
Fiona: [pats his shoulder] Don't worry. You will get your car.
Derek: However, just because you own it doesn't mean we can't take away the keys when you're grounded.
Fiona: That is also true.
Liam: You're ruining the fun in all this.
Fiona: Well, we're still your parents. It is our job.
Liam: You're lucky I love you both.
Fiona: [kisses the top of his head] Eat your dinner. Then you can go down and spend some time with your aunt.
Liam: Yes, mom. [and back to eating dinner]
Fiona: [And she will go back to doing the same]
Liam: [and when he's done] Okay, I'm going downstairs. I have my phone if you need me.
Fiona: [nods a bit] Have fun.
Liam: [and he's going to pretty much take the stairs, sliding down the balcony until he gets to the right level and goes to knock on the door]
Cora: [sighs from her position on the couch, craning her head back as though she can see through the door and find out who it is] Stiles, can you get the door?
Stiles: [gets up from the table where he's been typing while Dina is coloring next to him] Yeah, I got it. [he goes to open it] Liam, hey. How you feeling, buddy?
Liam: I'm alright. Is Aunt Cora home?
Cora: [sighs as she gets to her feet] Yeah, I'm coming. [a few seconds later, she's coming up behind Stiles’ shoulder] Hey, Liam.
Liam: Hey. You uh... you got a few minutes we can talk?
Cora: Sure. [she glances back to Stiles, before stepping out towards him] Why don't we go for a walk?
Liam: Ice cream?
Cora: Absolutely.
Stiles: You two have fun. I'll put Dina to sleep while you're out. [waves them off, and heads inside]
Liam: So... how's married life?
Cora: [nods as she steps out next to him] It's good. I think we're still in the honeymoon phase.
Liam: So everything's perfect and lots of sex?
Cora: [her mouth gapes for a moment, before she shakes her head] I plead the fifth.
Liam: [laughs] I'm not a kid, you know. I know you all have sex. I mean, the babies come from somewhere after all.
Cora: Yes, but you are my nephew which means you pretend you don't know that and don't bring it up ever.
Liam: [eyeroll] Okay. I won't talk about my sex life and you don't talk about your sex life.
Cora: [there's something about that that makes her frown, and she glances back to him] Do you want to talk to me about your sex life?
Liam: Well, kinda. Not about the sex part.
Cora: [she nods] Okay. What's up?
Liam: Mom said you may understand what I'm going through with Landon. I mean, you know he's an incubus. I know he's an incubus. but I just... sometimes I know why he does what he does but I kinda wish he didn't and it's not that I don't trust him because I do trust him... I just get this feeling that I don't want to share.
Cora: That's a pretty normal wolf instinct. [she pauses for a moment] How strong is it?
Liam: He thinks I don't trust him. I just... I just want him to be my boyfriend and not need to look at other guys. Even if it is his nature. [sighs] I know it sounds unreasonable, but I get growly sometimes if he looks too interested
Cora: No, that's ... normal for us. Wolves have a possessive streak. It's one of the downsides of the mate bond.
Liam: Mate bond?
Cora: [she pauses as they get to the ice cream place and they place their order, waiting until they find a table to sit at before she continues] When wolves find their mates, it can manifest in different ways. It comes on stronger in some wolves than others. But it's this ... feeling. A connection to them that can be intense and scary, especially at your age
Liam: How do I stop it?
Cora: [she laughs softly, because she remembers thinking the same thing once] You can't. You can ... learn to temper it, or keep a better handle on it, but it's not the kind of thing that can stop, even if you ... try to leave them.
Liam: I just don't want to make him leave me.
Cora: I know.
Liam: I just don't know how to explain it to him.
Cora: [she takes a deep breath, before going to place her hands over his] I think he gets it, Liam. But it's a compromise. You can't expect him to just ... stop looking at people because he may be attracted to them. You have to really trust him - and not just say you trust him. You have to practice what you preach.
Liam: So how do I stop my feelings?
Cora: [she pauses for a moment, before putting her spoon down in her dish as she looks at him] I know you love him. And first loves can be really intense to begin with. I had to run across the country to figure out my feelings and what I wanted, and I'm not saying you have to do the same thing. But you just have to remember to take a breath before you react to things he does.
Liam: You were like this with Stiles?
Cora: Kind of. My possessive side didn't really rear it's ugly head until I got him back but when we were in high school, there were times where I couldn't sleep unless he was next to me. It scared the crap out of me, how dependent on him I was becoming and he ... he was building his world around me and that wasn't what I wanted. So I broke up with him.
Liam: But you got him back.
Cora: Yeah. And I got to the point where I knew what I wanted and was okay with what that meant, but it cost us a lot too. [she reaches over and takes his hand] But that doesn't mean you shouldn't do what you need to do for you, to make sure you are really in the right place. Because if you're not and you try to keep pushing through, that could only make things worse.
Liam: You, Aunt Malia, Aunt Allison... you all married the person you met when you were my age. I know the odds aren't good for it, and I mean, I don't even know if Landon's able to stay with one person that long. Half the time I'm worried he's just going to disappear in the middle of the night because of his mom.
Cora: And while that would be a bad thing, it's not the end of the world either. You know, your dad had really intense feelings about his first love too. And when he lost her, he was miserable for a while. Then he met your mom, and everything worked out again. So if things with you and Landon don't work out, for whatever reason, that doesn't mean you're going to be alone forever.
Liam: Is that what Dad didn't want to talk about?
Cora: [she nods a bit] Yeah.
Liam: [sighs] So what do I do now? I mean... I don't want to upset him. And I hate that he doesn't think I trust him.
Cora: Just talk to him. Communication is important, especially in relationships like this.
Liam: How do I explain it beyond werewolf urges?
Cora: Just tell him how you feel. Take your time and stay calm and you'll figure it out.
Liam: Okay. [and he eats his ice cream a bit] It just sucks his mom won't let him see me after I got kidnapped.
Cora: You still haven't seen him yet?
Liam: [shakes his head] No. We text. Snapchat. That's about it.
Cora: Well, school is starting soon. She has to let him out eventually.
Liam: That's what we figure. He doesn't want to push his mom on it so... yeah. [rubs the back of his neck]
Cora: [she reaches over and gives his arm a small squeeze] Just remember, it'll work out however it's supposed to in the end. Just make sure you keep talking to him.
Liam: [nods] Okay. [there's a small smile] He told me he loves me.
Cora: [she smiles a bit at that] See? Trust him.
Liam: I do. I need to show him that I do. Right?
Cora: Exactly.
Liam: Okay. Okay I can figure this out.
Cora: I know you can.
Liam: Thanks. [grins]
Cora: Anytime. [and she finishes off her ice cream] Feel better?
Liam: Yeah, a bit. Today's just been a crazy day.
Cora: [she nods] I get it. [she's had a few crazy days in her time]
Liam: But on the good side, I don't have to worry about money again. Ever.
Cora: Really?
Liam: Yeah. I mean, Mom needs to talk to Uncle Victor, but we got some papers from England and I kinda got all of DeBrier's money.
Cora: How much is all of it?
Liam: Um. [looks around to make sure no one is listening, and then leans in] Mom said about 37 billion?
Cora: [her eyes go wide] Holy shit.
Liam: That's what Mom said.
Cora: Well ... use it wisely?
Liam: Dad said I can get a car as long as I paid my own insurance. [teenage grin]
Cora: [she laughs] I suppose that's fair.
Liam: Aunt Marissa is going to be so jealous of me.
Cora: Going to get a hot rod, huh?
Liam: Totally. I mean, come on. I'm going into senior year - gotta do it in style.
Cora: Now all you have to worry about is passing your classes.
Liam: Yeah. Especially this science class I'm taking. I hear it's super hard.
Cora: Which one?
Liam: Some engineering class. But I hear I get to build a robot. [grins]
Cora: [she laughs] You will. But Harris is not a pushover, so you're going to have to work hard. [and the moment after she says it she realizes that she hasn't had the chance to tell Derek let alone Liam that she's going to need to take maternity leave in the middle of the year]
Liam: [blinks] When did you change your name to Harris?
Cora: [her eyes close] Well, I'll be starting and finishing the year, but there's going to be a big chunk of the middle I won't be teaching.
Liam: [and his eyes narrow in that teenage 'your hiding something from me' way] And why...?
Cora: [sighs] If I tell you this, you absolutely cannot tell your dad that I told you first, got it?
Liam: [brightest grin ever] Swear.
Cora: [she sighs] I'm pregnant. I'll be due in January so for the middle of the year I'll be off for maternity leave.
Liam: [wide eyes] Holy shit that didn't take long!
Cora: [she laughs] No, it didn't. But we've been waiting for a long time.
Liam: Well, good. You deserve it. And I mean, I'm coming as the eldest kid... Mom and Dad have really mellowed out a lot since we got Lucy and Jake.
Cora: [there's a slight look there] Are you saying Stiles and I need to mellow out?
Liam: No. Well, not you. Stiles could probably relax a bit more now and then. He's like a rabbit on speed sometimes.
Cora: Yeah, but he's always been that way. Hyperactive is his default state.
Liam: Well, you're the one married to him. [smirks]
Cora: Then clearly I don't have a problem with it.
Liam: Clearly.
Cora: [she sighs again] Alright, we should get you back before your parents start to get neurotic.
Liam: Yeah. [and home they will go]
Cora: [And she will return to her apartment and find her husband to kiss him very soundly. Just because]
Stiles: [will accept the kiss in that wide eyed what did I do to deserve that way]
Cora: [as she pulls back] I love you.
Stiles: I love you too.
Cora: Also Liam knows but he's sworn to secrecy until I tell Derek.
Stiles: [blinks] Right. Oh, I had an idea about how we could tell your entire family at dinner Sunday. If you think you can handle that?
Cora: [makes a face before shaking her head] I don't want to do a big announcement. It's too much at once. I'll tell them, but I'd rather do it one-on-one.
Stiles: Oh, okay. [he had a plan, but no, he gets it. It was a good plan though]
Cora: [she nods as she shifts closer] I didn't mean for it to wait this long, but with Liam it wasn't the right time.
Stiles: No, nah, it's fine. I mean, it's a big thing. You don't want to be overwhelmed. I get it. I just... [he goes to his laptop bag and pulls out a t-shirt he got at the store the other day] I just thought it would be a cute way to let Dina reveal it.
Cora: [she looks at the shirt for a moment and laughs softly] You're right, this would have been adorable. [there's a beat] My mom and Laura already know. I could probably try and tell the rest by Sunday.
Stiles: [oh, but there's another shirt too] Well, we could maybe tell my folks this weekend. I don't think Scott and Allison are coming so we don't have to risk Ryan telling the world Sunday.
Cora: I could tell Derek at work tomorrow.
Stiles: And that just leaves .... we really have way too big of a pack.
Cora: [she laughs] Malia, Peter and Scott. At least for the ones who are going to be at dinner on Sunday.
Stiles: And then Tyler, and Elena, and that whole crew. [licks his lips] But my office may already have been taken care of.
Cora: Oh really?
Stiles: I work with a bunch of internet nerds. They ran my google search data.
Cora: [just laughs. of course they did]
Stiles: I can tell you that we have more than enough diapers now. [they decorated his office with them]
Cora: [nestles against his shoulder a bit] That's good, at least.
Stiles: You ever see those YouTube videos where someone comes in to find their office filled with balloons?
Cora: Yes.
Stiles: I seriously don't want to know where they got that many diapers from.
Cora: Then it's best we never ask.
Stiles: Lyle has the video of the avalanche. I was waiting to tell you before I showed it to you.
Cora: [she smirks, eyes closing as she gets comfortable. Who knew growing a baby would make her this tired?] Show me later?
Stiles: Sure. [pulls her in a bit more so that they can just snuggle up on the couch]
Cora: [yep, sounds good. Don't mind her if she passes out for a bit]
