Allison: And how is this supposed to make things better, exactly?

Chris: We will need all the help we can get to hunt this beast down.

Allison: And we can't trust him!

Chris: I know we can't. Which is why I'm going to watch him like a hawk.

Allison: [there's a look there because she knows how her grandfather can get inside her father's head] Does Scott know? Or Derek?

Chris: Not yet.

Allison: You need to tell them.

Chris: I will. [when he needs to]

Allison: If you don't, I will.

Chris: I will. And, in the meantime, we need to make sure he continues to think that Kate is dead.

Allison: I don't even want to speak to him, so I'm sure that won't be a problem.

Isaac: Pretty sure I'll rip his throat out if I see him.

Chris: I'd rather he not see either of you.

Allison: So why make him better? Why not just leave him where he is?

Chris: Because if this is the Beast of Gévaudan, we need his experience to try and track and kill it.

Allison: [her eyes widen and she takes a step back] What?

Chris: There is something coming. Something we can't explain and if it is the beast that the Doctors have brought back, it is our family's obligation to hunt it.

Allison: So you bring back a psychopath who may do more harm than good.

Chris: May. And if he steps out of line, I will put a bullet in him.

Allison: [she grits her teeth because she doesn't want to advocate killing family but since it's already done, they don't really have a choice] Tell Scott.

Chris: I already said I will.

Allison: [uh-huh. and she's not sure she trusts you]

Chris: You focus on helping your friends.

Allison: We will.

Chris: And I'm going to focus on hunting down this beast.

Allison: Watch out for Theo's pack. Most of them are innocent in this.

Chris: I will. You be careful too.

Allison: I will.

Chris: [and goes off to do whatever they are going to be doing]

Allison: [turns back to Isaac with a slight huff]

Isaac: [shaking his head] I don't like this.

Allison: Neither do I. And I don't trust him to tell Scott.

Isaac: I don't like keeping things from Scott.

Allison: Do you think we should tell him?

Isaac: Give your Dad a day. But we need to warn the Hales.

Allison: And you think Derek won't tell Scott?

Isaac: Derek didn't tell your father he would wait for him.

Allison: [that is crafty, Isaac. You wily wolf. She swallows, before nodding] Tell him.

Isaac: [nods] Want to come with me?

Allison: [swallows before glancing back over her shoulder and nodding] Yeah. That's probably a good idea.

Isaac: Then let's go.

Allison: [and off they go to the loft where Allison doesn't always feel entirely comfortable but she can't just send Isaac to deliver this news alone]

Isaac: [and when he comes out, he's just got a set jaw] We should go before he explodes.

Allison: [swallows and nods] He knows that this wasn't my decision, right?

Isaac: He knows. And he appreciates the pre-warning.

Allison: [sighs and nods] We should get back to Melissa's.

Isaac: Sure.

Allison: [there's a small smile and she reaches for his hand]

Isaac: [and off they go while Derek is making frantic texts to his sisters to get to the loft NOW]

Laura: [squints at this because Dereeeeeeek she had plans tonight] What's wrong?

Derek: I'll tell you when you get here. Get here now, fast as you can.

Laura: [huffs a little because boyfriend. and dinner. and pouty face emoji]

Derek: [not even going to dignify that with a response. You are in danger.]

Laura: [sighs] Fine, I'll be right there. [disgruntled face as she looks over at said boyfriend] I have to go. Derek is being a nervous nelly about something and he's insisting I come over right now.

Parrish: I could come with you?

Laura: No, it's fine. I'll be back. [she leans over and kisses him] Don't go anywhere.

Parrish: I will stay right here.

Laura: [and she will make her way over to the loft where Cora is already there, sitting on the couch with Dawn while Derek is probably pacing]

Derek: There's no easy way to put this: Chris Argent has had his father hidden in a nursing home for the last few years and he healed him from my bite and he's in town helping him find this black beast that Scott told Isaac about.

Laura: [just staring at Derek for a long moment] Is he insane?!

Derek: Apparently. Though now you can see why I wasn't going to let either of you go a minute without knowing.

Laura: You could have called. [huffs a bit as she goes to sit next to her sister] Not that it wouldn't have still sufficiently killed the mood, but it would have been more efficient. [but, since that's the first priority] Does he know about Jordan?

Derek: Chris is aware that Jordan is something. He was on the list for the dead pool. What he is though, probably not. Yet.

Laura: Good. That's probably the last thing we want to tell Gerard. [a beat] Do we know what this black beast is?

Derek: Isaac said something about a Beast of Gévaudan.

Laura: [eyebrows go up] You mean the werewolf that murdered a family of Argents and started the whole Argent family hunting line to begin with?

Derek: Exactly.
Emily Proulx (00:37:40): Laura: Great.

Derek: And... there's also two more issues. Gerard doesn't know about Kate is one.

Laura: You mean we can't sic them on each other and solve all our problems?

Derek: No. Gerard took control of a kanima and wanted me to turn him into a werewolf to heal his cancer. He's probably more than willing to team up with Kate to take us all down if it gave him power.

Laura: Especially considering if she actually is a nagual, it's not just a werejaguar he's getting, it's beserkers.

Derek: Exactly.

Cora: Do you think Kate would buy it?

Derek: I don't know. All I do know is that we're also not going to let Gerard know we are here, or our numbers.

Cora: How do you suggest we do that?

Derek: By being very careful.

Cora: I don't think he'll not be able to know about me? If he's going to be watching Scott then he's watching Stiles.

Derek: I'm more worried about Laura.

Laura: What about me?

Cora: [pauses awkwardly] Theo knows about Parrish. If Parrish is related to what the Dread Doctors, then Gerard is probably going to be looking at Parrish pretty loosely too.

Laura: [glances between the two of them before shaking her head] You want me to go back to the cabin, don't you?

Derek: [he sits down and looks at his sister] Laura... Peter may have killed you... but when the Sheriff found you, you had been cleaved in half. Gerard and Kate did it to draw me out.

Laura: Yeah, I get that. But I can't just abandon him either. He's finally starting to move forward - I can't just leave.

Derek: Take him with you.

Laura: And you think Gerard won't follow him? That's the whole reason why you want me to leave!

Derek: He's one of them.

Laura: And what are the other ones?

Derek: [taking a deep breath] Notice who isn't here?

Laura: [glances around, because one, two, three ... then she shakes her head] Was I supposed to bring someone else with me?

Derek: Peter.

Laura: What about Peter?

Derek: When Peter came back from the dead, Gerard was starting to make his moves. Deaton woke me up and when we talked, he talked about how Gerard always had a plan, and at that point, it was going exactly how he wanted it to. Which I don't know... but I can't rule out the feeling that I had then that Peter's resurrection just may have had a bit of an Argent twist to it, and Gerard wanted him for some reason. So I don't want to deal with him using either of you.

Laura: You can't just bench me every time something goes wrong, Derek.

Derek: I know I can't. But I just don't want to go through this all over again. So if you want to go, go. If you want to stay... please just be careful. Don't be alone.

Laura: I'll keep that in mind. [she's not making a decision yet, and she certainly doesn't want to die again, but she needs to talk to Parrish] Is there anything else?

Derek: Yeah. Make sure if you do see Peter, we take care of him. Because if Gerard is going to have something over Peter, he's in danger too.

Laura: [she nods, before she won't say anything else, and will just turn to head back to Parrish's apartment, mood already soured, thanks Gerard.]

Parrish: .... Things that bad?

Laura: [collapses on the couch next to him and rubs her eyes] You've met Chris Argent, right?

Parrish: Yeah, a few times. Kinda saved him from bleeding out after your uncle skewered him on rebar.

Laura: You know anything about his dad?

Parrish: No, not really.

Laura: Have you met Kate?

Parrish: Chris told me about her. I shot at her a few times.

Laura: Kate takes more after her dad than Chris did.

Parrish: So... he's a werejaguar?

Laura: No. He's a psychopath.

Parrish: Oh.

Laura: He sees his children as pawns, he manipulates every situation so that he has the advantage, and he only cares about his own advantage and survival. I wouldn't be surprised of Kate killed my family to try and prove to her dad that she was just like him.

Parrish: So maybe you guys should leave town then. Because I would rather you be not dead.

Laura: Cora can't. She's probably already been made. Derek sounds like he won't be, but Derek wants me to.

Parrish: As much as I want you to be here with me... I will understand if you go. We can go together.

Laura: If I do go, I don't think you can. You're still tied up in this Dread Doctor mess and if the Argents know more about what's going on than we do, Gerard might follow you right to me.

Parrish: And if you stay, he will follow me to you here.

Laura: [she nods] Derek is panicking. Peter may have killed me but the Argents cut me in half and used me as bait. He doesn't want history repeating itself.

Parrish: I can understand that. He doesn't want to lose his family again.

Laura: [she nods] I don't know what I want to do.

Parrish: Do what you feel is right.

Laura: None of this feels right. [she huffs a bit before she pushes to her feet, feeling frustrated and therefore needing to move - Derek isn't the only Hale who paces] I leave, I'm "safe," but I'm completely cut off, stuck in the woods getting second hand information while my family is stuck here with a geriatric psychopath known for trying to manipulate supernatural creatures to his advantage and paranormal scientists who are also psychopaths that have a giant black beast on their payroll. [she gives a small shrug] I stay, I risk getting hurt or worse from either angle by people trying to get to Derek or Peter or you. [because Parrish is a major piece on this chessboard, even if they're not quite sure how yet]

Parrish: Do you want to stay?

Laura: [sighs, running a hand over her face] I don't want to just abandon you. [she huffs] We were making progress.

Parrish: [thinks a moment, then nods] Alright, then how about this. While I'm pretty sure you'll want to strangle him after a while, how about you hang out with Ben while Lindsay and I are at work? I mean, he's a good guy to have your back in a fire fight.

Laura: Isn't he still recovering from his sudden case of human?

Parrish: He's actually moving in with Lindsay. Pretty sure he's going to find a job next.

Laura: [she considers before giving a small shrug] Maybe. I don't know. [she sighs and shakes her head to go and sit next to him again] This is such a mess.

Parrish: [sits next her and pulls her to him] We're going to figure it out.

Laura: [shifts and curls into him, letting her head rest against his chest] I think I want to see how things play out a bit. Then decide.

Parrish: Do you want to hide at Derek's for a few days?

Laura: No. I think I'll be good here if I just stay out of sight. [there's a beat] It's not like I have anywhere I need to be.

Parrish: You can just hide in my bed all day.

Laura: It's very comfortable. And you'll always know where to find me.

Parrish: Won't have to worry about coming home to a cold bed.

Laura: [shakes her head] Nope. This could be a win-semi-win.

Parrish: Having you will always be a win for me.

Laura: [smiles softly at that] Good. Because I feel the same way.

Parrish: Good. [leans in to kiss her]

Laura: [kisses him back with a soft sigh] I'm sorry Beacon Hills keeps ruining our dates.

Parrish: Eventually we will get enough date time to count ourselves having a full date.

Laura: Maybe once all this crap is over. Oooh. Or maybe the universe will give it to us for Christmas.

Parrish: I would like that for Christmas.

Laura: Maybe if you don't get an insane shift, we could just lock ourselves in your room and ignore everyone else for the holidays.

Parrish: I like this plan.

Laura: Good. Then that is our plan and we will stick with it.

Parrish: We can even start and test this plan out now.

Laura: I couldn't agree more.

Parrish: [and he will stand up and lead her away to go do that testing]

Laura: [yep, which is better than she thought this evening was going to end so win!]
