Laura: [which is fine because she's become an expert at hiding anyway. she makes her way over to the hospital and sneaks around, following the smell of burning stuff]
Scott: [and he's in the hallway as lookout since Stiles is with his dad at the moment. He sees Laura and waves for her to join him and they will be sneaking into... the morgue. Because it was far from the scene.] He's in here.
Laura: [nods and follows his lead, slipping through the doors and letting her eyes scan the room until she finds Parrish]
Parrish: [and he's on the floor still, half dazed from a slight concussion from hitting the wall. Still soot covered and the slashes on his chest were slowly cauterizing themselves but it was going to take an hour or two for it to finish.]
Laura: [she approaches slowly, before crouching down next to him to meet his eyes] Hey.
Parrish: [he blinks, and then looks at her. He tries to shift, but groans and stops moving] Hi.
Laura: Easy. [she moves to sit next to him] Just let yourself heal.
Parrish: I don't even remember getting hurt.
Laura: It must have been something really bad. He hasn't forced his way to the surface in a while.
Scott: It was the beast. We had been tracking him through town and he was coming here. Then someone called in a man on fire over 911 and well, we got here and he was being thrown through the hallway into the wall. The beast disappeared after that. [and that's what happened so far on teen wolf]
Laura: Any sign of who it is?
Scott: No. The fire scent covered anything I could get. But there were bloody claw prints that turned into sneaker prints.
Laura: He kept his clothes?
Scott: That or he picked up a pair and put them on as he shifted back.
Laura: Huh. [weird.] At least you're all okay.
Scott: [nods] The sheriff said we should get him out of here before the press shows up outside.
Laura: Probably a good idea. [she looks him over] Do you think you can grab him some scrubs?
Scott: Yeah. [and he will walk across the room to the supply cabinet and open up to find a pair]
Parrish: I don't know where I left my patrol car...
Laura: It's okay. I've got my car. [to Stiles] Grab that wheelchair?
Scott: [tosses Laura the scrubs and goes to get the chair] You can probably get out in the ambulance bay.
Parrish: [goes to help Laura dress him]
Laura: [and once he's clothed they're going to very gently ease him into the chair to sneak him out the back]
Scott: [and they will be successful and once Parrish is in her car...] I'm going to get back to Stiles and his dad. You good?
Laura: Yeah, we're good. Be careful.
Scott: You too. [and off he goes]
Parrish: [relaxing in the seat] I think I have a concussion.
Laura: [slides into the driver's seat] Wouldn't surprise me. It sounds like you took a pretty big hit.
Parrish: Well, one good thing... the Sheriff isn't afraid of me anymore. [drifting off]
Laura: That's good, at least. [and she will drive as fast as she can without getting caught or someone killed back to his place] Hey why don't you find something on the radio?
Parrish: [shakes his head] My head hurts. Don't really want any music right now.
Laura: Well, just keep talking to me okay? You can rest when you get home, but I can't really pay too much attention to if it's a good passing out or bad right now.
Parrish: What do you want to talk about then?
Laura: What's the last thing you remember before waking up?
Parrish: I was in the patrol car on my way to answer a call at a car crash scene.
Laura: Can you remember if it was something you saw that triggered it?
Parrish: [and he goes silent, trying to think of what he remembered] I saw a flash of black on the side of the road.
Laura: Focus. Can you picture any of the details?
Parrish: [he tries, shutting his eyes to focus. When he opens them, they are glowing orange] He saw the beast.
Laura: [she glances briefly from the road trying to see if she's actually talking to the hound or her boyfriend at the moment] And that triggered you, I'm guessing?
Hound: Yes. It was killing people. Innocent people now, and it has to be stopped. But I was not strong enough this time.
Laura: What do you have to do to be strong enough? [though she really isn't sure she wants the answer to that question]
Hound: I don't know yet. This is not a natural creature. It is one made.
Laura: It was a natural creature once.
Hound: I know. Sadly, it never will be again.
Laura: [sighs. there's a beat, and then] Did you catch it's scent?
Hound: No. It is able to mask it's scent.
Laura: Damn.
Hound: I will find it. Perhaps the small anxious one and his father will be able to provide more clues to the boy.
Laura: His name is Stiles and his father is the Sheriff. It'll help if you ever start talking to anyone other than me.
Hound: The boy tends to do the talking. I only talk to you because you asked me to.
Laura: [teasing] Don't I feel special.
Hound: [doesn't know teasing] You are.
Laura: [she figured, but that response as her curious. her head tips to the side] Why do you talk to me? It can't be just because I ask.
Hound: You are the boy's mate. You are the most important one to him. Therefore you are important to me.
Laura: [she smiles softly at that] That's a bit of a change from the last time we talked.
Hound: I have been paying more attention.
Laura: I can see that. [and she pulls into the parking lot for his building before turning back to him] Do you trust Gerard Argent enough to talk to him?
Hound: That is the man who tried to set the boy's eyeball on fire. He is lucky I did not rip his throat out.
Laura: Glad we're on the same page there. I'm pretty sure most of the world would not be upset if he got burned to a crisp.
Hound: But you do not wish for me to do so at this time.
Laura: [sighs] I do, but it's not my call to make. And he knows more about La Bete than anyone else alive. But you see more than Jordan does - if he looks like he's going to stab you in the back, don't let him.
Hound: A man who does not know how to fear is a dangerous man.
Laura: That he is. Especially one who is well known for having a hidden agenda. [then another beat] La Bete needs to be stopped. That much is certain. But if you need to be stronger to fight him, does that mean I might lose Jordan in the process?
Hound: I don't know, Laura Hale. I hope not. You will need the boy in time, and he should be there for you.
Laura: Stopping the beast is more important. [it pains her to say it because doesn't want to lose him but it's not about her. it's about Beacon Hills.] Sometimes sacrifices have to be made.
Hound: I will do what I can.
Laura: I know. [she exhales] Anything else I should know before I take him inside and put him to bed?
Hound: [he will look at Laura a moment, orange eyes looking at her almost fondly. And then he will blink and it will be Parrish again]
Laura: [she smiles when Parrish comes back, brushing a hand against the side of his face gently] Hey you.
Parrish: [sighs and leans into her hand] You two have a good talk?
Laura: [she nods with a small smile] I think he's warming up to me.
Parrish: Warming. Ha.
Laura: [she smirks] C'mon. Let's get you in bed.
Parrish: [nods and goes to get out of the car] Shower first, maybe?
Laura: [she nods in agreement] Sure. Sounds good.
Parrish: [and they can make their way inside]
Laura: [and she will go run a hot shower for him] Want me to make you something to eat?
Parrish: Maybe just a sandwich. Something I can eat in bed.
Laura: Sounds good. One sandwich coming up.
Parrish: [and he will go and stand in the hot shower and just let the water run down on him]
Laura: [and when he's done, she'll be in bed waiting for him with his sandwich and a glass of water next to the bed]
Parrish: [and he will return smelling a lot more like himself and all but flop down in bed]
Laura: [smirks a bit and will just go and curl up next to him] You okay?
Parrish: Yeah. My headache seems to be fading. [sits up and goes to eat his sandwich]
Laura: Good. And aside from physically?
Parrish: I didn't die. That’s a good thing.
Laura: That is good.
Parrish: I just wish I could have seen something. Given something to the sheriff.
Laura: Unfortunately, your alter ego couldn't even catch a scent. Finding this kid is going to be rough.
Parrish: Hopefully it won't take too long. I don't know if the population can handle it. It's hard to hide this as an animal attack story.
Laura: [she nods] I have a feeling with most things in Beacon Hills it'll get handled sooner rather than later.
Parrish: Here's hoping.
Laura: [she nods against his shoulder, pausing before smirking slightly] He called me your mate, you know.
Parrish: [blinks] He did?
Laura: [she nods] That I'm the most important person to you.
Parrish: Well, he's not wrong.
Laura: [she nods, smiling softly for a moment before looking up at him again] The feeling is mutual. Just for the record.
Parrish: [he looked over at her, and he smiled] Good to know.
Laura: Good. [and she will just curl up with him and relax some, waiting for him to finish his sandwich so they can sleep]
Parrish: [and he will finish his sandwich, thinking a bit]
Laura: [she'll wait for a minute, before looking up at him curiously] Something on your mind?
Parrish: Just thinking.
Laura: About what?
Parrish: Just how... your brother's been through a lot, and even with things still crazy he's getting married. And your sister is all but married to Stiles it seems. Maybe there's a chance...
Laura: For us?
Parrish: If I survive after we find this beast... yeah. An us.
Laura: [her eye softens for a moment and she nods] You'll make it.
Parrish: And you'll be here waiting for me?
Laura: Always.
Parrish: [and he will smile and lean in to kiss her]
Laura: [kisses him back softly, sinking into it for the moment]
Parrish: [and he will stretch out more, and she will feel him relaxing and drifting off as they keep kissing]
Laura: [and she will kiss him until he's asleep and hopes that she's right and he really will make it]
Parrish: [and he will just snuggle with her because nope, she's the one. The one he has been waiting for and only death would separate them]
Laura: [yes. SO DON'T DIE. ahem.]
Parrish: [he won't. because we will fix canon if we have to]
Laura: [good plan. but she doesn't know that so she's going to worry all the same]
Parrish: [and he is going to sleep through the night and in the morning he will be back right as rain]
Laura: [the magic of supernatural healing. Not that it's going to have her feeling better for long]
