Laura: [her eyebrows go up] Hi.

Derek: Special delivery. One hellhound.

Parrish: [is sooty and still healing but there is a small smirk on his lips because he did something good] Hi.

Laura: [she smiles a bit at that smirk, before stepping to the side so Derek can bring him in] Just what I was hoping for. How'd you know?

Derek: Well, I'm always on the lookout for making my sisters happy. [and he will help Parrish to a wooden chair]

Laura: Everything go okay?

Derek: Let's just say it was a good thing we had plan B.

Laura: As per usual.

Derek: Scott said he would come by after he gets Lydia to Deaton.

Laura: Okay. We'll be here. You okay?

Derek: Yeah. Just a bit of kanima venom.

Laura: [she nods] We'll be good from here if you want to go.

Derek: You good?

Parrish: Yeah, I'm good.

Laura: [small smile] Unless you want to supervise clean up.

Derek: Nope, I'm heading home. Call if you need anything.

Laura: Will do. [and she will wait until he's gone before turning back to Parrish] Shower?

Parrish: Yes, please. And can you check the slash on my back and see if it's healing.

Laura: [she nods as she moves to help him up, moving him so that he's standing in front of her] Looks good so far?

Parrish: Good.

Laura: [she nods] C'mon. Let's get you cleaned up. [and into the shower they go]

Parrish: [and a nice, long shower time]

Laura: [yep. making sure he's nice and clean and soot free]

Parrish: [and then they get dressed and go to sit in the living room with some coffee]

Laura: [shifts to curl up with him] So what happened?

Parrish: Well, remember how I called and told you I was going to be helping Stiles and Scott with breaking Lydia out of Eichen House.

Laura: Yes, I remember.

Parrish: Well..... it didn't go as well as plan.

Laura: Of course it didn't.

Parrish: I don't remember a lot of it, but I was in the police van, and then I woke up in Eichen House hot and in pain. And Then Scott and Liam found me and told me that they needed the Hound to find Lydia.

Laura: And they figured out how to get him out?

Parrish: No. I told them to set me on fire.

Laura: [cringes] Oh. But he found her?

Parrish: Yeah. I don't remember but Scott said he would fill me in.

Laura: Guess we'll have to just wait for him to get here.

Parrish: I just know that I did good. I did something that wasn't finding dead bodies.

Laura: [smiles softly] Good.

Parrish: It felt good, waking up and knowing that I helped.

Laura: Good. I'm glad. It should feel good.

Parrish: It does.

Scott: [and there is a knock at the door]

Laura: That's probably Scott. [turns to kiss him gently] I'll be right back.

Parrish: [and he will wait with his coffee]

Scott: [tired alpha is tired but promised to check on Parrish] Hey Laura.

Laura: Hey, Scott. C'mon in. [steps to the side to let him in] Want some coffee?

Scott: Maybe some water? I want to crash after I leave here.

Laura: Sure. He's in the living room.

Scott: Awesome. [and he will go in, checking up on Parrish but he's going to wait for Laura to get back before telling the story]

Laura: [gets him a glass of water before making her way back, handing him the glass and settling back against Parrish again]

Scott: So, I was going to ask if you knew the limits of your abilities yet.

Parrish: Beyond the whole being fireproof and can't really die?

Laura: The Hound isn't exactly the most talkative guy.

Scott: Alright, well some of it Stiles told me after, and some I saw myself, but I thought you should know. Well, I mean you already saw you are resilient to kanima venom.

Parrish: That's the stuff in Tracy's claws, right?

Scott: Right.

Laura: ... That's handy.

Scott: Stiles said you were also resilient to electricity, and you can set people on fire with your hellhound fire.

Laura: Okay, slightly scarier.

Scott: And apparently you were impaled by a metal rod and that just slowed you down enough for Valak to get Lydia and run. You had already healed from it by the time Liam and I found you.

Laura: Do you remember that?

Parrish: [shakes his head] No. I remember waking up on the stairs. My hands were still healing from burns so I guess that it could have been from pulling out a metal rod.

Laura: I'd rather you stop testing your healing limits out in the field like that.

Scott: Well, there's more.

Laura: Like what?

Scott: Well, Meredith told me that the Hound and the Banshee are linked to each other. Apparently you'll always be able to find her. And... well on the way you went through a mountain ash barrier and literally burned it out of the walls as you walked. It was kinda cool, this like purple blue aura expanded out of you and ran along the walls.

Laura: That's ... also really handy.

Scott: And then when Lydia was about to scream, you pushed Stiles out of the way and wrapped her into your arms and she screamed into your chest and you just absorbed the blast. We felt the aftershock and that was pretty hard so what you took had to be like a bomb going off.

Parrish: Not sure if I should be in awe of myself or scared.

Laura: I think you should be glad because you probably saved all of their lives right there.

Scott: I know I'm grateful.

Laura: A banshee scream is powerful before Valak fucks with it.

Scott: Well, he drilled a hole in her head. Stiles said she also killed Valak.

Laura: Good. That psychopath deserved it.

Parrish: Is she okay?

Scott: Yes. Deaton was able to get her a treatment to help her come back to herself. She's going to need time to heal, but she should be okay.

Laura: So all's well that ends well? At least for now?

Scott: At least for now. Though keep your distance from Theo. I think he's trying to find a way to get control of Parrish.

Parrish: To lure out the beast.

Scott: We think he wants to steal the beast's power for himself.

Laura: He tries and he'll find out what happens when you fuck with someone who was born to be an alpha.

Scott: [smiles] Good thing I don't have to worry about protecting you then.

Laura: Nope. We got it covered.

Scott: Alright, then I'm going to go home and sleep. [pauses a moment] Though…Laura, can I ask you something?

Laura: Shoot.

Scott: When... when you came back... how long did it take for you to heal?

Laura: Well ... I didn't exactly test it, but a lot of things came back slowly. Like I was alive for a couple hours before my nose even functioned on a minimal level. But I was also dead for like ... four years.

Scott: [looks over his shoulder to make sure Parrish isn't looking, and then shows Laura his stomach] I don't know why they aren't healing.

Laura: [takes a deep breath as she makes her way closer] Healing ... isn't just a physical thing. It's a mental one too.

Scott: I remember. I had a bad chest wound once from an alpha back when I was a beta. I though Derek had died and I hadn't moved fast enough to save him, and that guilt made it so the wound didn't heal and I almost died myself.

Laura: [she nods before looking up at him with a small shrug] You're under a lot of stress right now, and you died. That would throw anyone.

Scott: Do you think the fact my pack is still broken is a cause too?

Laura: Maybe. Does the fact that you're not all together bother you?

Scott: It's my fault.

Laura: [she pauses for a moment before pulling him to sit next to her] Scott, I know you're the alpha and you're responsible for everyone, but that doesn't mean you stop being a person. And people can make mistakes. My mom used to say that when an alpha was too perfect it was usually a sign that something was wrong.

Scott: Your brother used to quote your mom sometimes too. I guess being a true alpha... sometimes I feel like my biggest mistakes are the ones where others make mistakes.

Laura: You are a true alpha, but you didn't become one by making the perfect choice every time. You became a true alpha because you have a good heart. So if you feel like things are off with your pack, then making things right with them will make things right with you. You'll be stronger for it.

Scott: [nods] Okay. That's what I've been focusing on. And now that Lydia is out of Eichen they are all safe. I can focus on them now.

Laura: Good. I think you'll be stronger for it.

Scott: [smiles.] Thanks Laura. [it's good having someone to talk to about these things]

Laura: [smiles in return] No problem. Now go home and get some sleep.

Scott: [laughs] Yeah. See you guys later. [and off he will go to go home and crash into bed]

Laura: [and she will glance back to her boyfriend] What about you? Bed?

Parrish: Yeah, bed works. I've apparently done a lot today.

Laura: [she nods before taking his hand and pulling him towards the bedroom]

Parrish: [lead him away, beautiful woman]

Laura: [yep, right to bed where they will probably just curl up and sleep]

Parrish: [yes, because he doesn't have any energy for fun times]

Laura: [poor tuckered out hellhound]

Parrish: [but you should have seen him, Laura. he was beautiful.]

Laura: [It would have been hot, definitely.]
