new york wolves } { of bad plans and the truth about hellhounds

Lydia: [picks up her phone as it buzzes. she had been using calc as a distraction to not bother him, but now that he's bothering her] I can't. I'm in protective custody.

Sam: What happened?

Lydia: Are you alone?

Sam: Yeah, just broke free from prison and I'm on the run to the nearest source of protein.

Lydia: [and she will switch from texting to actual calling because trying to type it all out will take forever]

Sam: [and there will be street noise in the background] Hey.

Lydia: Hey. So you know those weird bodies I've been finding?

Sam: Yeah?

Lydia: Apparently they had a very specific list. A hit list, if you will. Me and Stiles were both on it, and on the way back to the Hale penthouse they attacked us and got Stiles. I'm okay, but I don't think Laura is letting me out of her sight until this is dealt with, which is fine so long as I don't have to ... handle the baby.

Sam: Crap. Where is the penthouse?

Lydia: [and she'll give him the address] I'll let them know you're coming. [since she's sure as hell not going to stop him]

Sam: Good. And let them know if they need a US Marshall with hunter experience, I can have one here by tomorrow.

Lydia: I will. I'll see you soon.

Sam: [and he will get there soon enough, having stopped over to drop off his briefcase, change, and to tuck a few things into various hidden spots before heading to the penthouse and ringing the doorbell]

Lydia: [and has been filling them all in before glancing towards the door] That's probably him.

Peter: [stands up to go answer the door] Sam Winchester?

Sam: Yes.

Peter: [sniffs the air] Come on it. Leave you gun at the door.

Lydia: [sighs at Peter]

Laura: [is sitting on the couch with Thomas]

Sam: How did you know?

Peter: I can smell the gun oil. You at least take care of it well. You can have it back when you're leaving, and I won't be confiscating your knives.

Lydia: Peter.

Peter: You are the one who chose to date a Winchester, Lydia.

Lydia: And I'm also the one who was attacked by creepy leather faces tonight, and therefore not blaming my boyfriend for arming up.

Peter: And there is a baby in the house and even Detective Esposito puts his gun away when he enters the house.

Sam: [smirks at Peter, but he does hand over the gun. His house, his rules]

Peter: Thank you. [motions for Sam to go over to Lydia]

Lydia: [sighs as she meets him halfway] Hi.

Sam: You alright? [and he's going to look her over]

Lydia: Yeah, I'm fine. I got in the elevator before any fighting even happened.

Sam: And they took Stiles. [looks over at Laura] You must be the alpha.

Laura: And you're Dean's little brother. [and up she looks] You're taller than I expected.

Sam: Dean fed me well growing up. Speaking of, if you want his help, I can ask him to swing into town. He's good at manhunting.

Laura: I will keep that in mind. But it's not entirely my call. Derek is your law enforcement person.

Sam: I will talk to him then and offer it. I can also help, but I'm not as sharp anymore.

Laura: It's fine. Right now ... we don't even know where they are, so there isn't a whole lot of fighting to do at the moment.

Sam: Do you have that list by chance?

Laura: No. Not unless Lydia remembers it. I haven't actually seen it.

Lydia: [she shakes her head] I was a little ... out of it at the time.

Peter: I think Derek has his own copy. You can ask him when you talk to him.

Sam: Okay, I will. [holds Lydia's hand] Right now, I'm just going to play the supportive role here.

Lydia: [she gives them all a thin smile] Any other questions you want to ask him or are we free to be supportive elsewhere?

Peter: Laura?

Laura: [she nods] It's fine. We'll find you if we need you.

Lydia: [and she will squeeze Sam's hand before pulling him back to the guest room]

Sam: [and he will follow, since he's the guest there]

Lydia: [and she will wait until they're behind closed doors before letting go, going to flop on the bed] I get that they mean well, but I hate being cooped up here like some kind of ... chess piece.

Sam: Maybe we can convince them to let you come home with me?

Lydia: Unlikely. But that's not what I mean. I should be ... trying to help find Stiles.

Sam: Well, how would you do that?

Lydia: I don't know. [she sighs, before reaching up to flick her hair out of her face] Maybe ... maybe use me as bait or something.

Sam: Yeah, I don't like that so much either.

Lydia: [she throws up her hands] They're not finding him now! And they can put a GPS tracker on me or ... or I could scream when I get there. Somehow wolves always seem to hear me anyway.

Sam: But what happens if they have a place that will muffle it and block the signal?

Lydia: [sighs as she covers her face in her hands] I don't know. I just ... don't like being treated like I'm useless and I don't want to find Stiles' body.

Sam: That's why I was hoping to see that list. Maybe we can't trace Stiles' path, but we can find others taken and see if there is a path from them.

Lydia: They put them in a car or they go into the sewers. There's no scent to follow.

Sam: Not scent, but a hunter uses other ways to follow creatures.

Lydia: They're not creatures. The creatures are the ones being taken.

Sam: Are you sure that they aren't creatures taking creatures?

Lydia: The bodies had holes drilled into their heads. Does that sound like a creature to you?

Sam: Did they eat the brain inside?

Lydia: [gross Sam, but she shakes her head] Not that I can tell. And it was surgically precise. There wasn't anything messy about it.

Sam: So someone with medical training is getting to them at some point.

Lydia: [she nods slowly, turning something over in her head for a moment before she tips her head to the side] Always in the same place too. [and then something else occurs to her and she gets to her feet and moves to the door] Peter? [because he knows the most stuff]

Sam: Want me to get him?

Lydia: [she opens the door. she forgot about the soundproofing and tries again] Peter?

Peter: Yes? [sitting up on the couch, playing with his great-nephew]

Lydia: [follows the sound of his voice] Is there a medical procedure that you can do on a supernatural creature that involves drilling a hole here? [and she'll scoop up her hair to show him the place in question]

Peter: [he thinks a moment, his eyes drifting off like he did when he was deep in thought. he then handed the baby to Laura and got up to head to shelf where the family journals were now held and pulled one out.] Thirty years ago in California there was a doctor who felt he could enhance the powers of the supernatural by tapping into their nervous system.

Lydia: [lets her hair drop and crosses her arms in front of her chest] He worked in Eichen House, didn't he?

Peter: Yes. He was the newly appointed doctor at the time. Valek. [Peter looks over at Lydia] Why do you think that?

Lydia: Valek was one of my doctors at Eichen House. [shifts uncomfortably] And I think he did it to my grandmother.

Peter: Do you think he followed you here to New York?

Lydia: I don't know. He lobbied against me being released.

Sam: I can send in an inquiry to Eichen House. See if he's still there. Put it as a possible expert witness request.

Lydia: How long will that take?

Sam: [pulls out his phone] Not long. Let me just look up the number.

Lydia: [nods and turns back to Peter] This thing that he's doing to them. Would it kill them?

Peter: It depends on their power and if they can control it. Unleashing the full potential of a supernatural creature... it will drive most mad before they can get it.

Lydia: [purses her lips] What about the chimeras?

Peter: That I don't know.

Sam: [has the phone number and dials it] Hello, yes my name is Samuel Winchester and I am an attorney at Specter and Ross in New York City... Yes, that firm. I was hoping to speak to a Dr. Valek in regards to being an expert... oh. Oh, I see. Do you know where he moved his practice too... yes. Yes, do you have that number on you by chance... [makes a motion for someone to get him pen and paper]

Laura: [grabs one off the side table, before passing it to Lydia to pass it to him]

Sam: [writes down the number] Thank you so much, you have been very helpful. I appreciate your time. Goodbye. [hangs up] So, apparently he relocated six months ago and didn't leave a forwarding address, but they have his cell phone from when he was employed there.

Lydia: Maybe if we give that to Derek he can track it.

Sam: Not only that, but if you wait until a team is in the sewers, you can listen for it's echo and try to trace it by ear.

Laura: Send it to Derek. See if he can do anything with it.

Sam: We should go see Derek then. [looks at Laura and Peter] Can I borrow her to the station and back?

Laura: [pauses, before glancing back to Peter]

Peter: [looks at Laura, raising an eyebrow. Stiles wouldn't be happy, but he knows Lydia could use a break from them if only for a few minutes]

Laura: [she sighs before nodding] Yeah, that's fine. Text me when you get there to make sure you arrived okay.

Sam: I'll make sure she does. [he looks at Lydia] Come on.

Lydia: [she nods and gets her jacket and shoes, before following him out]

Sam: [and he will collect his gun and get a cab for them to head off to the station]

Lydia: [will be quiet for most of the ride unless he tries to talk to her]

Sam: [nope, he's running odds and scenarios in his head to be able to create an argument with Derek. His lips are moving though no words are coming out]

Lydia: [and when they get to the twelfth, she'll just lead the way inside because she's been there so many times before, leading the way right to Derek's squad]

Derek: [looks up] Lydia?

Lydia: We think we might know who took Stiles.

Derek: Alright. Go into that meeting room. I'll get the team.

Lydia: [nods and does as she's told, leading Sam with her]

Derek: [and soon he will have Ryan, Espo, Gloria, Lindsay and Jordan in the room and closing the door] Okay, what do you have, Lydia?

Lydia: I was thinking about the head wounds and I realized that I'd seen them before. In Eichen House.

Parrish: Eichen House... back in Beacon Hills?

Lydia: [she nods] Not while I was there, but while my grandmother was there. Her doctor was the same as mine - Valek.

Esposito: And you think he's here now, doing this list?

Lydia: I don't know. But he's certainly creepy enough.

Sam: And I called Eichen and six months ago he left practice there with no forwarding address. I have a number though.

Ryan: I can run it and see if it's active.

Gloria: It's definitely a place to start.

Sam: I also came up with an idea that may be useful.

Derek: And you are?

Sam: Sam Winchester, Attorney at Law.

Lydia: He's Dean's brother.

Esposito: Thought I saw a resemblance

Derek: Alright, what's your plan?

Sam: Well, there's two different ones, actually. One that Lydia wants that we can work with, and a backup.

Lydia: [she glances over at him, because is he actually going to go with her "I'll be bait" plan? But she's going to say it anyway] I'll be bait.

Team: [chorus of what and no's]

Sam: Hey, I'm not a big fan of it either... but Lydia thinks she can get a working tracker on her for us to follow. Match it up with the location on the phone, and see if we can correlated the location

Parrish: And what happens if this doesn't work?

Lydia: I'll scream. That seems to work pretty well at calling in the cavalry.

Derek: If you can.

Lydia: ... I don't know! I just can't sit up there and do nothing. Not after everything Stiles has done for me, and if this is Valek, and what Peter says about this procedure is true, I'm not going to let him turn Stiles into one of his supernatural science experiments. He wants me. That much we know. So how do we make it work?

Derek: [thinks for a moment, and then looks at Jordan] I think we may need a bit more to make this work.

Parrish: Why are you looking at me?

Derek: I think we need to know what your other half knows.

Gloria: [there's a long pause because she really doesn't want to suggest this but] I told Miss Sheila about what happened with the nemeton. She's on her way here to have a look at the tree itself and at Jordan because I figured she knows more about this than I do. Maybe when she gets here, she can use what she knows to find out.

Derek: How long till she gets here?

Gloria: [glances down at her watch] Maybe an hour. She was making Bonnie drive her. She hates planes. [she looks up again] Maybe we can use that time to figure out a way to bug Lydia that they won't be able to track.

Ryan: I'll run the number and see if I can get a signal somewhere in the area. It'll give us a place to start.

Derek: [looking at Lydia] We do this, my sister is going to have words with me. We're supposed to be keeping you safe.

Lydia: Yeah, well. I'm not in her pack. It's not her decision, it's mine. And if it helps Stiles, then I'm going to do it.

Derek: Just tell her I tried to stop you, alright?

Lydia: Your objection is noted.

Sam: If we want a few more eyes on her while we do this, I have from friends at the Freakshow who are good at hiding in the shadows.

Derek: Probably the same ones I do. You call them. Espo - call Castle. Stilinski needs to know we're moving on this, and he may have some high tech gear that could help.

Esposito: What about you?

Derek: I'm calling my fiancée to see if the FEDS have anything we can borrow.

Gloria: I'll let you know when Sheila gets here.

Derek: [nods] Lindsay, Jordan - order us some Chinese. I think we have a long night ahead of us.

Lindsay: [and off she goes to do that]

Sheila: [and one hour later, on the dot, in comes Sheila Bennett, dressed like you would expect an old mystic to be dressed. Her younger, trendier granddaughter is right on her heels, looking around curiously as she goes. Sheila greets Gloria with a hug, before she pulls back] It was good to hear from you.

Gloria: You too. Hopefully the drive wasn't too bad.

Bonnie: Next time? We're taking the train. [she keeps walking and she catches Parrish's back while he's in front of the coffee machine] Nice. Maybe I should move to New York.

Gloria: Don't objectify my partner's back.

Bonnie: Why not? It's a hot back.

Derek: [hears people and he will come out of the side room where Ryan is working his magic on all things technical] Gloria?

Gloria: [glances back and nods] Miss Sheila, this is Derek Hale. Derek, this is Sheila Bennett and her granddaughter Bonnie.

Derek: [holds out his hand] Pleasure to meet you both. Thanks for coming. Detective Parrish!

Parrish: Yes, sir? [comes over]

Derek: Ladies, this is Detective Jordan Parrish.

Sheila: The assumed hellhound, I take it. [she'll shake Derek's hand before turning to face Parrish more, and her head tips to the side] Interesting.

Derek: That's what Gloria is thinking. All we know is he's something we can't explain.

Sheila: Well, let's find out, shall we? But to do this, we'll need to visit the nemeton.

Derek: Alright. Just give me a minute. [and he's going to tell Espo to make sure the others don't go off and lose Lydia while he's gone]

Sheila: [turns back to Parrish with a small smile] I promise this will be very painless.

Parrish: I hope so.

Sheila: You are not the first hellhound I've had a chat with. Though you are probably the most polite thus far.

Parrish: ..... That’s a shame.

Sheila: The others were much older. And one considered it his purpose in life to be contradictory.

Parrish: Well, I promise you I'm not like that. The military fixed any problems with my attitude I may have had.

Sheila: [hums, amused] I'm sure it did. [and as Derek comes back] Are we ready, Detective?

Derek: We're ready. [and they will take the police SUV out to the crime scene]

Sheila: [and she will lead the way to the nemeton, letting her hand rest against the trunk for a moment, before gesturing for Parrish to sit in front of her.] Sit here, with your back against the tree. We're going to do a little meditation.

Parrish: [he swallows because he doesn't really feel comfortable with this, but he is going to just go with it and do as she says.]

Derek: [keeps a distance back]

Sheila: [smiles softly as she sits cross legged in front her] The nemeton and the hound are connected. This is the closest it has to a home, so it's where it will feel the safest to come to the surface peacefully.

Parrish: A Hellhound doesn't really sound like a peaceful creature.

Sheila: I believe there's a saying about soldiers and sheepdogs? Where they're calm and peaceful until you attack their flock? Same's true for hellhounds. Your flock is safe for now, so we should be able to have a chat.

Parrish: [nods] Well, we can try.

Sheila: [settles comfortably before nodding] Lean back against the tree. Let the bark dig into your back. Close your eyes and focus on the earth beneath you and the tree around you. Find that connection within you and focus on it, pulling on it until you're one with it.

Parrish: Bark. Funny. [he will sigh and do so though, trying to figure out how to find this connection]

Sheila: Don't fight too hard. It wants to connect with you too. The nemeton's relationship with the supernatural is a symbiotic one - it needs you just as much as you need it. Just close your eyes, and relax. Deep calming breaths.

Parrish: [he's trying. He doesn't realize that he's succeeding until he's slipped away and the eyes open to look at Shelia are glowing an orange red]

Sheila: [smiles softly at the sign of the hound, before nodding] Hello. Have we met before?

Hound: A few times, in different forms.

Sheila: It's always hard to say, if there's more than one of you, or if you are all the same hound.

Hound: It is both. When one falls, another rises.

Sheila: I see. I like this one. Very polite. I think you should keep him around for a while.

Hound: That will be up to him. I can only protect him through so much.

Sheila: I know. [she pauses for a moment] The Dread Doctors are back, as I'm sure you're aware. These detectives are looking for a way to stop them and they have a plan. But to succeed, they will need your help. [then she pauses] Have the dreams started?

Hound: Yes. Six months now. It is why he left Beacon Hills.

Sheila: Do you know if they have succeeded yet?

Hound: No. They have the one they will use, but they will not use him until they are sure.

Sheila: Which gives us time. [there's a pause again] They have a plan they wish to implement, involving the banshee.

Hound: I will not let him hurt her.

Sheila: I know you wouldn't. But if they implement this plan and use her as the lure - could you find her, regardless of where the Dread Doctors take her?

Hound: Yes.

Sheila: Good. One problem solved. [there's a beat] Do you know where the Dread Doctors are now?

Hound: No. Their signals block me. There are many of them.

Sheila: But they cannot block your connection to the banshee?

Hound: No. I can track her echoes.

Sheila: Good. Then that can be our place to start. And we should do it soon - we can't let them complete their little science project.

Hound: The boy will need to let me in.

Sheila: I think I can convince him. And if I can't, Lydia can.

Hound: If the banshee is in pain, I will take over by force whether he wants it or not.

Sheila: I'll make sure he understands that.

Hound: [nods, and he will close his eyes and the hazel eyes of Jordan are back, blinking confused a few times]

Sheila: [reaches out and taking his hands with a small smile] Hello, Jordan. How're you feeling?

Parrish: I don't know. Did it work?

Sheila: It did. But this is a conversation we need to have back at the station, with Lydia.

Parrish: Okay [and takes her hands to get up, looking over at Derek who just nods]

Sheila: [and she will follow them back to the car, hooking her arm in Jordan's for a moment] You will need to concede some control to the hound for this to work. But he will be able to find and protect Lydia.

Parrish: So what happens to me if I keep letting it take control? Do I even really have control?

Sheila: Truthfully? No. [there's a beat, and she gives his arm a squeeze, letting the rest of the group move ahead of them so they are out of earshot] Gloria says you were a soldier. When you were overseas, were you ever involved in any explosions?

Parrish: [looks down, and then nods] Yeah. Land mine. It was triggered and I was trying to disarm it before it took out my squad.

Sheila: [her smile turns a bit sad before she nods] Hellhounds are born in deaths of fire, usually in the protection of others. Unfortunately, Jordan, the hound was born on the day you died.

Derek: So what does that mean for him?

Sheila: [sigh, Derek, this was supposed to be between her and him. But she will address them both] The hound needs him, just as much as he needs the hound. He needs his compassion and his understanding of people to function within this world. But without the hound, Jordan will die.

Parrish: [purses his lips, then nods] Well, I've lived longer than I thought I would.

Sheila: [she gives him a small smirk] So long as the hound isn't needed, he won't interfere with your life. But if the supernatural community or the local banshees are threatened, the hound surface to deal with those threats, but once they are gone, you can go back to being Jordan again. It is a partnership.

Parrish: [licks his lips] Can we just... not talk about it for a while?

Sheila: Of course. Though I will say you're taking this much better than the Salvatores did.

Parrish: That could be debatable. I'm just better at keeping calm under pressure.

Sheila: Stefan Salvatore set his family estate on fire. But that was back in 1864. And Damon, well ... Damon was a pill.

Bonnie: That's putting it lightly.

Parrish: Are they still alive?

Sheila: No. They fell shortly before you became the new hellhound. But they had lived for a very, very long time before that. Stefan and Damon first lived during the Civil War - the only sons of one of the founding family members. The Union soldiers had rounded up civilians from the town into a church. They set the church on fire, and Stefan and Damon tried to rescue them. They succeeded, for the most part, but the church collapsed on both of them before they could leave. And that was when the nemeton of Mystic Falls found their first hellhounds.

Parrish: [he's really starting to get overloaded with information] Can we just go back to the station and do this?

Sheila: Of course. [and back to the station they'll go]

Parrish: [and he's going to just stay quiet, not wanting to talk about it]

Sheila: [and she will turn her attention back to Derek] You're also not up against any run of the mill scientists either. The Dread Doctors are no picnic.

Derek: What are we going to need to beat these guys?

Sheila: You're going to need to use the banshee as bait.

Derek: But what then? I mean, I know my sister took out a set of them but not all of us can turn into coyotes.

Sheila: They're human, Derek. They may have their fancy technology, but if this plan succeeds and Lydia is able to lead you to them, then you will be able to arrest them and lock them away. Maybe not all of them, but at least the cell in this city. Destroy all their data, and you will probably set them back decades.

Derek: That we can do.

Sheila: Good. Because we do not want them to succeed.

Derek: [and they are pulling back up at the station] They won't.

Sheila: Good. Let's go fill in Lydia.

Parrish: [and upstairs they will go, and] Guys, you fill her in? I just need a shower.

Sheila: Sure. [and with that, they go to find Lydia who is presumably with Sam?]

Sam: [yup, both of which are sitting with Ryan and a laptop looking at video surveillance around where the phone signal is leading them]

Lydia: [glances back when she hears them coming and her eyebrows go up] Well? What did you learn?

Derek: Long story short - Jordan will be able to find you.

Lydia: That's ... comforting. How is he going to do that?

Sheila: The hellhound and the banshee are connected. He will always be able to find you, no matter what the Dread Doctors may do to hide you.

Sam: I'm not sure I like another man having a supernatural tracking ability on you... [teasing]

Lydia: [there's a bit of a look at that because really? Now's not the time]

Lindsay: Why do you call them the Dread Doctors?

Sheila: Because that is the name they gave themselves, a very long time ago.

Sam: So they've been doing this a long time?

Sheila: Ever since the advent of the supernatural world, there have been secret societies to go along with it, both for and against those forces. The Covenant of St. George. The Men of Letters. [pointed look at Sam] One of those societies was the Dread Doctors - scientists who wished to try and harness the supernatural to their own destructive ends. They revered a now dead creature called La Bête du Gévaudan.

Derek: But in the end, they are still humans, and humans we can catch.

Lydia: What do they want with the supernaturals?

Sheila: They are trying to raise La Bete. Bring it back to wreak destruction one more. As a result, they need to create the perfect chimera - the binding of two unlike species.

Derek: And they're either using Stiles to test... or he's the one they want to make into the beast.

Sheila: Hard to say. They haven't had a success yet, it seems. They need to have a successful genetic chimera as a base before they can consider raising a supernatural one and once that is done, transposing the spirit of La Bete on top of it. It is a complicated magical procedure, and if they believe Stiles is the key to their success, they will not to waste him until they're sure it will work.

Lydia: Then why do they want me? The rest of them are all fangs and claws. I don't have any of that.

Sheila: Gloria mentioned that a man named Valek may be one of them. He has an ... incredibly high regard of banshees. He may believe that if he can increase your power, you will show him the path to success.

Derek: Lydia, is Stiles a chimera? Back when he was still human, that is. Did he ever break any bones or have any surgery when he was younger?

Lydia: [she gives a small shrug] I have no idea. I didn't really pay attention to him until high school and the only really medical issues I knew he had was the frontotemporal dementia. You'd have to ask his dad.

Derek: Yo, Espo, you talk to Castle yet?

Esposito: Yeah - he and Stilinski were going to play in his storage facility and come over with what they have.

Sheila: It's possible he could have something else that makes him interesting to Valek.

Derek: Well, we're not going to give him a chance to get it.

Sheila: Good. You should go soon.

Derek: [nods] Lydia, how do you want to do this?

Lydia: [she takes a deep breath before shrugging] Do we know how they find us?

Derek: Pretty sure they have eyes on us.

Lydia: Then I guess we just need to get me out in the open.

Sam: Do we have something yet to track her?

Gloria: [cuts Sheila off before she can say they won't need it] We have GPS trackers, but none of them are particularly invisible. And we know the phones won't last because we've tried tracking them for the other victims. But we can't just rely on Parrish's banshee-dar.

Castle: How about we look into some drone technology, kiddos. [grins, coming in with a toy drone and a remote]

Lydia: [squints at it] Will that ... actually be effective?

Castle: I happen to be a great drone flyer, my dear. I've used this to help survey my daughter on dates many times.

Lydia: [blinks for a moment] Mmmm-hmmm.

Castle: Trust me.

Sheriff: And if not, Argent had one of his local friends bring this over to me. [holds out a pocket emitter, causing Derek to snarl just a bit since he knows what that is]

Gloria: [also makes a face] Ow.

Sheriff: So what are you kids planning?

Lydia: I'm going to be the bait and you're going to follow me to Stiles.

Sheriff: So we're doing the thing that is going to have your mom kill me. Great.

Lydia: Apparently, no matter what I'll have a hellhound to protect me, so that's something, right?

Sheriff: Hellhound?

Derek: Yeah....

Lydia: I have a feeling it falls into "long story" territory. Time we don't have if we're going to find Stiles.

Parrish: [coming back in his sweats] Sheriff?

Gloria: If we're going to do this now, we should get going.

Ryan: I'm going to stay here and monitor the cell phone. We can call it when you're in the tunnels.

Sam: I should probably go and let them get the jump on me so that they aren't suspicious

Lydia: [she nods in agreement] Don't let them beat you up too much.

Sam: I'll try, but I at least have to make an effort to protect you.

Lydia: [she nods, but she doesn't want them to get too hurt] So. Central Park, or something? Or do I just have to be on the street?

Derek: They took Stiles in front of the apartment. They can probably get you anywhere.

Lydia: [she glances to Sam again before nodding] Then let's go for a walk.

Sheriff: [gives her the emitter] Put it someone they can't find it, but you can reach if your hands are bound.

Lydia: [nods as she considers for a moment before tucking it into the top of her tall boots]

Sheriff: [hugs her, and then lets her go] Tell Stiles we're coming for him.

Lydia: I will. [and with that she will take Sam's hand and let him lead her out of the precinct]

Castle: [and he will follow not that long after because DRONE STALKING]

Sam: [and he will hold her hand as they walk] Do you want a weapon to have on you just in case?

Lydia: [she glances up before shaking her head] I don't know how to use them. I'll probably hurt myself more than I hurt them.

Sam: Well, we're going to fix that when you get back.

Lydia: [looks up with a smirk] Are you going to teach me?

Sam: Of course.

Lydia: [she nods] I guess I could work that into my schedule.

Sam: We'll find time.

Lydia: Okay. [she gives his hand a small squeeze] I'll be okay.

Sam: Just don't do anything to get yourself hurt.

Lydia: Aside from the plan, you mean.

Sam: Aside from the plan.... [there is a strange noise behind him and he turns to see three people with leather masks behind him] .... Run.

Lydia: [which she will do without hesitation, heading down the street and away from them]

Sam: [and he will be right behind her, and they will get maybe three blocks before they are cut off. There is a fight, Sam tries to get them free... but he goes down hard after one doctor hits him upside the head with his steel pipe cane]

Lydia: SAM! [is screeched for effect as she tries to struggle against whichever one is going to grab her]

Doctors: [and they will take her, and inject a knock out drug into her to get her to be quiet before taking her into the sewers. And Castle's drone will get shot down just as they enter. sorry, Castle]
