peter & cora } { of replacement furniture and coming home

Stiles: [still, he will poke his head in, reaching up to pull his little hat off out of habit] So what are we getting today?

Cora: [the guys are already hauling out the old couch and his girlfriend is sprawled out on a much larger couch, with plenty of cuddling room] This awesome couch?

Stiles: [nods to the guys and looks at his girlfriend] What, you didn't like the puce green with plastic wrapped cushions?

Cora: There was barely enough room for someone to sit on it, let alone actually use a couch for it's intended purposes.

Stiles: There's a purpose to couches beyond sitting on them?

Cora: [she nods as she pushes up to look out the window to see the furniture truck pulling away. then she reaches up to pull him down and kiss him softly]

Stiles: [kisses her back, leaning over the back of the couch and smiling]

Cora: [pulls back after a moment] Much more comfortable if you come around the other side.

Stiles: Let me at least get my boots off so I don't dirty up the new couch.

Cora: Sounds good.

Stiles: [and he will go to sit on a chair in the breakfast nook and bend over to start unlacing the boots]

Cora: [and she will stretch out and enough their multitude of couch space. This couch is impressive and makes her seem even smaller than she already is when resting on it] Have a good day?

Stiles: I did. Kicked ass in the flight simulator teaching the baby flyers how to earn their wings.

Cora: Good!

Stiles: My arm is responding better to the controls. They may let me get in an actual flight before my commission ends for old times’ sake.

Cora: Good. I hope they do.

Stiles: [and he's free of the boots and going over to sit on the couch. He bounces a bit it in the seat] Nice.

Cora: [she nods, before sitting up a bit so he can stretch out next to her] Lie down.

Stiles: Oh, kay. [and he will]

Cora: [and she shifts to stretch out next to him, resting her head against his chest] See how we can both fit and neither of us are in danger of falling off the edge of it?

Stiles: But that takes away from the whole gymnastic portion of the evening.

Cora: I think we can still get flexible like this.

Stiles: It'll be nice not to have the cushions sticking to my butt.

Cora: I thought so too. And it'll be nice for couples who aren't as flexible as us.

Stiles: Already planning on the next couple getting this place having good sex on the couch?

Cora: I figured it's the least we could do to thank them for their service.

Stiles: You're a model American.

Cora: I do what I can for our people in uniform.

Stiles: So what are you going to do for your man in uniform?

Cora: [hums as she leans in to kiss him again] Anything he asks of me.

Stiles: [kisses her again] Mmmm, I'm thinking pizza.

Cora: Done.

Stiles; Good. [and he will kiss her again]

Cora: [she kisses him back, moving to settle over him so that they can comfortably make out for a bit]

Stiles: [hums and happily makes out with her, letting her help him start getting out of that flight suit]

Cora: [yep. definitely need less of those layers]

Stiles: [But it does have that one nice, long zipper that goes both ways]

Cora: [what do you know. she's definitely going to pull that down very, very slowly]

Stiles: [grins] You're really learning your way around my flight suit.

Cora: Well, you do wear them fairly often.

Stiles: It's sorta my uniform.

Cora: It only makes sense I know how to get you out of them.

Stiles: And to think, my mom spent all those months trying to teach me to dress and undress when I could have just had you...

Cora: [she smirks] I'm just here to make your life easier.

Stiles: You have really made it a lot nicer, that's for sure.

Cora: Good. [her hand slips into his flight suit to rest against his side as he leans in to kiss him again] Happy to help.

Stiles; [and his hands will slide along her hips, pulling her close as he deepens their kisses]

Cora: [and she leans into this eagerly, before pulling back long enough to get her shirt over her head]

Stiles: [he loves that view, and will kiss along her neck, shrugging his shoulders out of the flight suit to get his arms free]

Cora: [hums softly at his lips, before her hands move back to wandering over his chest and they will get nice and hot and heavy before ending the moment curled up lazily on the couch, one of her legs draped over his]

Stiles: [his fingers threading through her hair] Yeah, I like the couch.

Cora: [grins as she rests her head against his chest] I knew you'd come around.

Stiles: I think we need three.

Cora: I don't think there's enough space for three.

Stiles: Darn.

Cora: We can get one when we go back to Beacon Hills.

Stiles: I don't know if your bedroom is big enough.

Cora: Mmmmm. I do like my bed too much to get rid of it like that.

Stiles: I guess we'll just have to hold onto our memories of it here.

Cora: [she nods] Or get it for your apartment if you get your own place.

Stiles: Am I getting my own place?

Cora: [she gives a small shrug] You don't have to? But ... I don't know. Staying with pack when you're on leave was fine, but are you going to want to live with all of them all the time?

Stiles: Well, not really. I mean, Scott and I are close but pretty sure I don't need him knowing when we're having sex for the rest of my life.

Cora: [she nods once] So ... maybe you having your own space would be a good way of giving the pack a break from us every once in a while.

Stiles: And while my Dad would be happy to have me move back home, I don't want to be that geek living with his parents.

Cora: [she nods again] So yeah. Once you have a job, you can get your own place and I will get you an awesome couch as a housewarming gift.

Stiles: Sounds like a plan.

Cora: Good. [and she leans in to kiss him again] I really like this plan.

Stiles: [kisses her back] Me too.

Cora: And I'm really glad we're doing this too.

Stiles: Me too. And I'm really glad I got drunk and kissed you in the bar all those months ago.

Cora: Me too. Really glad.

Stiles: [and he will kiss her again] I love you.

Cora: [she smiles] I love you too.

Stiles: [and he will just keep kissing her]

Cora: [and she will kiss him back, curling up comfortably in his arms]

Stiles: [and eventually they should get that dinner]

Cora: [Yes the will. Pizza and a movie on their awesome new couch]

Stiles: [and when they are getting ready for bed, Stiles sits on the edge of his side a moment, fingers drumming nervously on the mattress a moment]

Cora: [goes to curl into bed when she notices the nervousness] You okay?

Stiles: [licks his lips and turns to face her a moment] Can I ask you a serious question?

Cora: ... Sure.

Stiles: I'm not the kind of guy who just jumps into something for a short term. Not like this. So I mean... leaving the air force is kinda freaking me out a bit because it's the end, you know?

Cora: I know. [she gives him a small smile and reaches for his hand] We'll figure it out.

Stiles: [takes her hand] I guess... I want to make sure that we're going to be a long term thing too.

Cora: [she watches him for a moment, before inching closer] You are the best thing I've had in a long time. I'm not going anywhere.

Stiles: Okay. Then I um, I hope you don't think this is childish.... but... [and he will reach into his pillowcase and pull out a silver ring and hold it out to her] I got you a promise ring.

Cora: [her eyes widen a bit, before she glances up at him with a small smile] Yeah?

Stiles: I figured it was a bit too soon for me to ask you to marry me, but you came all the way out here and well, I want to hold onto you as long as you let me.

Cora: [she laughs before taking the ring and putting it on] Are we going steady now? [she's teasing, but it's genuine]

Stiles: Yeah, we are. [grins]

Cora: Good. [she leans in to kiss him again, leaning in closer]

Stiles: [and he will lean down, kissing her as he pulls her into his arms]

Cora: [and she will go with him easily, snuggling in and getting comfortable]

Stiles: [and sex before bed and it's a good day]

Cora: [yep. definitely a good day]

Stiles: [and the last few weeks are going to fly by]

Cora: [and eventually they will be back in Beacon Hills again and while Stiles is catching up with his dad, Cora will go home to see her pack and get some one on one time] Anybody home?

Scott: [making sandwiches in the kitchen] Oh hey! I thought you were coming back tomorrow.

Cora: We made the trip faster than we thought. Stiles went to see his dad, but I wanted to stop in here.

Scott: I guess we'll have to kick out the renter who has been in your room. Want a sandwich?

Cora: Yes. [and she'll make her way over] So how's everything been going?

Scott: Good, really good the last few days.

Cora: The last few days in particular?

Scott: Isaac went up to Northern Cali again.

Cora: He's been spending a lot of time there.

Scott: And he comes home in an amazingly good mood. We're pretty sure he's been brainwashed.

Cora: Or there's a girl.

Scott: We're pretty sure it's a girl. She's come down here a few times and he comes home smelling of her.

Cora: Is she nice?

Scott: Well, I mean to Beacon Hills. He hasn't actually brought her here to meet any of us.

Cora: Ah. Then is he happy?

Scott: Smugly so.

Cora: Then that's all that matters.

Scott: So how's Stiles doing?

Cora: Good. A little worried about what he's going to do now that he's not a soldier anymore, but I think he'll figure it out.

Scott: He'll figure it out. Just needs a bit of time.

Cora: Yep. And he's going to stay here until he gets a good job, and then get his own place so we're not rubbing it in everyone's face all the time.

Scott: So is he staying here then...?

Cora: For a little bit.

Scott: Probably good for both of you

Cora: [she shrugs] We've spent the past three months living together. Now we'll have to adjust to having everyone else around too.

Scott: You could always put up more walls, you know. If that helps.

Cora: I don't know. I like the open space.

Scott: You grew up in a preserve. No one is surprised at that.

Cora: Yeah. I think we'll be fine.

Scott: I'm just glad you're back. I missed you.

Cora: I missed you too.
