peter & cora } { of new jobs and celebratory drinks

Stiles: [and between having been away with his dad for the weekend, and then Cora being at job 1 and then job 2, Stiles hasn't seen her in a few days. Which is also why she won't know the reason for his awesome new lifeflight jacket he's wearing as he walks into the bar, aviators on and a smirk on his face]

Cora: [looks up from what she's doing and raises her eyebrows at him expectantly] Look at you.

Stiles: [does the man equivalent of a twirl] You like?

Cora: I do. When'd you get that?

Stiles: Yesterday when I passed my flight test and was officially hired.

Cora: Stiles, that's great!

Stiles: Yeah, apparently they were in need of pilots enough that they were willing to take me... as long as I was signed up for classes at the community college. [bites his lip]

Cora: No, that's good though. It shouldn't be much money.

Stiles: Yeah, and being from the military I get assistance.

Cora: Even better.

Stiles: So, I start Friday.

Cora: That's great, Stiles. I'm happy for you.

Stiles: Of course, being the lowest man on the ladder... I have the night shifts.

Cora: They don't run twenty four on, forty-eight off?

Stiles: Nope. There's a rule that pilots are only allowed to fly nine hours a day, fourteen max. So it's twelves.

Cora: Well, we'll figure it out. And you can take classes during the afternoon.

Stiles: I was kinda looking at the online ones.

Cora: That works too.

Stiles: Makes it easier too so I can do the work when you are on your 24.

Cora: Very true. You won't be distracted.

Stiles: And it will fill the time.

Cora: And maybe we'll wind up on shifts together.

Stiles: That'd be fun.

Cora: Yeah, it will.

Stiles: I take it you aren't up for a little helicopter flight with me.

Cora: I don't think they let you take it for joy rides.

Stiles: I have to get it back to the platform after a job...

Cora: True. But I might have to stay with the patient.

Stiles: Yeah, I know.

Cora: Maybe sometime though.

Stiles: Sometime.

Cora: Anyway - celebration drinks. What can I get you?

Stiles: Whiskey. You need to ask?

Cora: Just double checking. [and she goes to pour him one]

Stiles: There any way I can sneak you out for a celebratory make-out session?

Cora: I don't know, you have to take it up with my boss.

Stiles: Could just be an extended lunch break. You didn't take your break yet, right?

Cora: No, I did not.

Stiles: I've got the jeep outside. [smirks]

Cora: [she laughs] Let me see what Erica says.

Stiles: Alright.

Cora: Until then, enjoy your whiskey.

Stiles: Yes ma'am.

Cora: [and she will wander off to talk to Erica, and make her way back around again] You have thirty minutes.

Stiles: I can do thirty minutes. [and he will leave a tip and go to bring Cora outside to the jeep that he has parked in a dark corner of the parking lot]

Cora: [and she will follow his lead, and off they will go to makeout land]
