new york wolves } { of building homes and real estate
Stiles: [and he will be looking at things close to where Hal and Alexis are, trying not to be discouraged by prices]
Cora: [and she'll be looking for things like "dog friendly" and "roof access" that's walking distance from a convenient subway and/or their place of work]
Stiles: [and finally he is just going to groan and let his head hang back on the couch] This sucks.
Cora: [she glances back to him with a small smile] It's not that bad.
Stiles: Why can't there be a site that we can just type in our parameters and the place appears?
Cora: Because realtors are constantly trying to upsell. [a beat] Maybe I can talk to Victor and see if he can give us the name of his realtor again. The Kirsanovs manage a few properties, maybe there's something for us there.
Stiles: Yeah, we could. Maybe.
Cora: Maybe?
Stiles: Well, they are Russian. They may have cameras in them to spy on people.
Cora: [her head tips to the side a bit] Really?
Stiles: It's a joke.
Cora: [oh. she sighs] I think they'd be willing to take them out on account of you saving Victor's life.
Stiles: .... I should take advantage of that card.
Cora: Advantage how?
Stiles: I save his life.... he gives us our dream apartment?
Cora: ... I don't know ...
Stiles: What?
Cora: While I don't disagree that that's a handy card to play, I guess we better really know what we want. Because if he's going to buy us an apartment, we better be staying in it a while.
Stiles: Well, what part of the city do we want to live in?
Cora: [sighs as she turns her computer to show him the map] I think between school for me and the lab for you and Laura if she needs you, somewhere in this area. [gestures with her hand]
Stiles: [points at the screen] And Alexis and Hal are here.
Cora: So ... [shifts the radius so that it's more focused in that area] Somewhere in there.
Stiles: Yeah. [shifts closer] Hey look, there's a dog park there.
Cora: Perfect. So we have a location. Now we need to decide ... how big we want it to be?
Stiles: Well, I guess part of that is how long do we want to stay in one place?
Cora: Well, if they're going to buy it, we should stay a while. Especially if it's our dream place. And I don't actually like moving that much.
Stiles: So we'll probably want to think about how we'd use it for at least what, ten years?
Cora: If not longer.
Stiles: So guest space and.... well... [rubs at his neck] I guess space for kids?
Cora: We are getting married.
Stiles: Well, yeah.
Cora: Do you want to have kids?
Stiles: Eventually.
Cora: Probably within the next ten years, right?
Stiles: Yeah, but I mean, do we need to figure out how many right now to know how many rooms?
Cora: No. We'll probably use the rooms for other things now. But we need to have the space for it.
Stiles: [shifts to look at her] Well, how many kids do you want?
Cora: [she shrugs] Two, maybe?
Stiles: Hey, you're the one getting pregnant. I think you get the ultimate say. But two is good.
Cora: I haven't really thought that far ahead. So yeah. We can start with two.
Stiles: So our bedroom, two kids rooms, and a guest room. A four bedroom.
Cora: Or enough space that it could eventually be a four bedroom. [and she'll pull up an app so she can take notes] Pet friendly is a must.
Stiles: Well yeah, I mean two dogs, two werewolves.
Cora: Lots of light.
Stiles: You said something about roof access?
Cora: [she nods] Sometimes I like to go up there for full moons.
Stiles: Alright, rooftop access or top floor penthouse?
Cora: Just rooftop access is fine.
Stiles: Okay. And the main room needs to be a good media room for when we have people over, so laid out where we can have people over and not be tight.
Cora: Maybe something with an open floor plan so we can see from the kitchen to the media room.
Stiles: Yeah. That’d be good.
Cora: And at least two bathrooms.
Stiles: Yes. Three maybe. One for the master suite, and I guess one in the main area and one near the other bedrooms?
Cora: That works.
Stiles: Okay. So let me type that up and we can e-mail Victor for the help?
Cora: Sure. [and turns it to him so that he can see it]
Stiles: [and tyoe type type hey Victor need your help trying to find an apartment for Cora and I here's the specs any of your places match it and are in this area?]
Cora: And we probably won't hear back from him for a while. Liam has a game today.
Stiles: They really fell in love with that rugrat, didn't they?
Cora: I'm not surprised. Victor's always had a soft spot for kids, no matter how wild. He and Malia got on really well when she was younger.
Stiles: Really?
Cora: Oh yeah.
Stiles: Tell me.
Cora: He helped her pick her dance classes, and would watch her sometimes when Laura needed to deal with Ivanov stuff and Malia wasn't in school yet.
Stiles: Ivanov... that's the place Peter's tattoo came from?
Cora: [she nods] When we first got here, we had to pledge allegiance to one of the packs, and we weren't sure who to trust. If we'd had more time, we probably would have gone with Victor, but the Ivanovs forced our hand.
Stiles: I remember some of that. I have a hard time remembering some things still from my freshman year.
Cora: Yeah, well, they're all gone now.
Stiles: Good riddance.
Cora: Agreed.
Stiles: So, what shall we do as we wait for his response?
Cora: [she shrugs a bit, before leaning in to kiss him]
Stiles: [oh hey. yeah, they can do that let him just put that laptop on the coffee table and he will grin and kiss her back]
Cora: [she laughs as she moves in closer] I mean, we could watch a movie?
Stiles: No, no I like this plan better.
Cora: Okay, good. We're on the same page.
Stiles: [and he is going to stretch out on the couch and guide her on top of him]
Cora: [and she will just settle in comfortably because cozy boyfriend]
Stiles: [umm hmm, and she is a comfortable weight and warm and he loves kissing her]
Cora: [what a coincidence! The feeling is mutual, even if it's just lazy, slow, we're making out just because we're actually in the same room kissing]
Stiles: [yes, because they have been in the same space for a few weeks now so that mad passion of being apart was abating]
Cora: [yep, but kissing is still very nice] We're going to have to start actually planning the wedding soon.
Stiles: I know. [kisses her a bit longer] We'll have to wait until you're on break.
Cora: [hums a bit] Winter or summer?
Stiles: [thinks] Winter would be the holidays. Summer is better.
Cora: And where do we want to have it?
Stiles: Maybe in one of the parks along the river?
Cora: Ooh maybe. That'll take permits though.
Stiles: Good thing we have Beckett, Peter, and Nadia in our corner.
Cora: Yeah, but we'll still probably have to wait a while. I think we've been waiting a long time as it is.
Stiles: Peter will kill us if we elope.
Cora: Only if we don't invite him. But I'm not suggesting eloping. I'm just suggesting we not pick a venue everyone wants so we can do it this summer instead of three summers from now.
Stiles: [thinks] We could ask Castle if we can have it in the Hamptons?
Cora: Oh, that would be nice. He's got the great beach front behind him.
Stiles: And it's big enough for a lot of us to stay there.
Cora: It's perfect. And I'm sure he'll say yes.
Stiles: It does come with the risk of Castle taking over planning our wedding, you know.
Cora: Castle has good taste. I think I can live with that.
Stiles: So I guess it's just down to July or August?
Cora: July would be better. I'd have to be back to prep for school in August.
Stiles: Okay. Then I'll go talk to the boss and see where I can get a week or two this July.
Cora: So where will we go?
Stiles: We could go to Disneyland?
Cora: I've never actually been to Disneyland.
Stiles: Really?
Cora: [she shakes her head] We didn't vacation much.
Stiles: Well, they have places we can stay, and then we can go play in the parks, or just play with ourselves. I think they have a cruise too.
Cora: We can check it out.
Stiles: Spend our first week as husband in wife in mouse ears? [grins]
Cora: [she laughs] Maybe.
Stiles: Mouse ears and nothing else. [his grin grows]
Cora: [she shakes her head] No. No mouse fetishes here.
Stiles: Alright, no mouse ears during sex. [he leans up to kiss her again]
Cora: [kisses him back and sighs as she settles into him]
Stiles: [and some makeouts a go?]
Cora: [yep. lots of fun couple time, but not the really fun stuff because part of the way through Malia walks in with her hand over her eyes]
Malia: Don't you guys have a room for this stuff?
Stiles: Yes. [looks over and grins at her]
Malia: [rolls her eyes] This is just wrong. You're lucky I wasn't Peter.
Stiles: Trust me, I have my ears trained to know what his keychain sounds like.
Malia: Uh-huh.
