puppy love } { of flash mobs and werewolf venom

Stiles: [smirks] He really is good.

Ben: Yup! He can sing and dance and play instruments. That makes him a triple threat.

Hayley: I can believe it. How did he recruit all these dancers?

Cora: People love this stuff.

Stiles: I'm sure he has connections.

Ben: Craigslist?

Stiles: No, you don't find friends there, Ben. Never use Craigslist to find friends.

Cora: I think it's mostly from Georgetown. Dance majors and Malia's friends, and they branch out from there.

Ben: I want to have moves like that when I get older.

Stiles: Then pray that you didn't inherit my clumsiness, kiddo.

Cora: You could get Landon to teach you.

Ben: [looks at Hope] Want to learn to dance with me? I need a partner.

Hope: Sure!

Ben: [grins] Cool.

Hope: [and bright smile. having friends is cool]

Hayley: [hoo boy.]

Ben: [yeah, he has NO IDEA how much trouble this is going to be later on in his life]

Stiles: Looks like they are finishing up.

Hope: [her eyes go down to the crowd and then back to her mom] Can we go meet them?

Ben: Yeah, can we? [and he will look at his mom]

Cora: Sure. C'mon, give me your hand.

Ben: [and he does so, grabbing Stiles' with the other]

Stiles: I guess we're all going then

Hayley: [laughs a bit] Well, this is a group outing.

Stiles: True. [and so they will go down and the kids will go to hang out with Landon and learn to dance]

Landon: [yep, he will teach them the entire dance, and the band will help]

Stiles: [so he will sit back and relax with the girls]

Hayley: So how does he keep a handle on his incubus-ness?

Cora: He's a college kid with a lot of supernatural friends. He manages.

Stiles: [blinks] Wait..... Landon is a what?!

Hayley: You didn't know?

Cora: I guess it hadn't come up.

Stiles: Hello, token human here. I don't have the smell function.

Cora: [smirks] Yes, Landon is an incubus.

Stiles: Aren't they the ones who go around impregnating people?

Cora: No. They just feed on sexual energy. But the myths were written by puritanical Christians before birth control was really a thing.

Stiles: So there aren't succubi who will sex me dry and leave me with a smile on my face? [he's totally being a guy]

Cora: No, there are. Every male version has a female one.

Stiles: Alright. So need to be on the lookout for that.

Cora: They're rare. The only one in the area is Landon's mom and she already landed her big fish.

Stiles: Not sure I want to know.

Cora: You don't.

Stiles: Alright. So, what do we want to do after this?

Hayley: Dinner? Maybe a movie?

Cora: Dinner would probably be good.

Stiles: Lego Batman is still out, right?

Cora: Maybe. [goes to check the listings]

Stiles: [will he get outvoted for Disney or not...]

Cora: That will depend on when the kids come back] Hey kids - which do you want to see? Lego Batman or Moana?

Ben: Batman!

Hope: [bites her lip] Batman's okay. [she doesn't want to rock the boat]

Cora: [glances to Hayley, and Hayley shrugs] Batman it is.

Ben: [looks at Hope] Do you want to watch Moana?

Hope: [she glances over at him and nods] But me and my mom can go see it another time.

Ben: I've already seen Batman. If you want to go to Moana, we can go to Moana.

Hope: Are you sure?

Ben: Yeah. There's music. I like music. [smiles]

Stiles: [yeah they are so in trouble, Hayley]

Hayley: [yep, she can see it now] Alright. Let's go get dinner, and then see Moana.

Stiles: [and off they go and I haven't seen this movie so just skip through to ending the night]

Cora: [yep, and Hayley will take Hope and go her separate ways, leaving Cora, Ben and Stiles alone]

Ben: [and no, sugar crash halfway home and Stiles Carries him the rest of the way]

Cora: Today was fun. [as they get to the door]

Stiles: It was. However, I fear for our son if he and Hope ever get serious.

Cora: He's six.

Stiles: And her dad is Klaus Mikaelson.

Cora: They have a long ways to go before we have to worry about Klaus Mikaelson.

Stiles: I hope so. But they are adorable friends.

Cora: They are. And it's good for them to have supernatural friends.

Stiles: It is. They can just be themselves around each other.

Cora: Yep. And honest, which is also important.

Stiles: Yeah. [and he will carefully get Ben to bed and work with Cora to get him undressed and tucked in]

Cora: [yep and once he's in bed, she'll tuck him in and make her way back out into the kitchen] Coffee?

Stiles: Yeah, I could use a cup.

Cora: One cup of coffee coming up.

Stiles: [and he will follow her into the kitchen, going to sit at the island] So how have things been? I missed almost two weeks here.

Cora: Good. Your dad introduced Ben to hockey.

Stiles: That explains all the talk about the Mighty Ducks.

Cora: Yep. Also he may be a Redskins fan, but I'm trying to talk him out of that one.

Stiles: Could be worse - could be Cowboys.

Cora: That's what your dad said. But I would kind of prefer that our son not be rooting for racism.

Stiles: I think it's just the local team. I don't think he understands the political incorrectness of the logo.

Cora: I get that, but I'd rather nip it in the bud before he gets too attached.

Stiles: I'll talk to Parrish then and have him swap it to the Ravens when Ben is around.

Cora: Tell him that I would very much appreciate it.

Stiles: No problem. Luckily football season is over until next summer. Basketball will be the next big thing. [thinks] Will your brother be home in time for March Madness?

Cora: I don't know. I haven't talked to him since I got off the plane from Paris, which ... I may have vented to him, a lot?

Stiles: ... Do I have to be worried about a punch in my face when he gets back?

Cora: No, but he may have a lot of questions about your line of work?

Stiles: Shit. I'm technically not allowed to answer most of them because I'm bound by confidentiality clauses.

Cora: I was upset and I needed to talk to him, I'm sorry.

Stiles: No, it's ok. I mean, I put you in a very awkward and difficult position and you should have someone to vent to.

Cora: I can try and explain more to him - the version that I gave was very ... brief.

Stiles: I'm pretty sure if the version was government assassin, that would cover it.

Cora: It wasn't.

Stiles: Then yeah, I'm sure it would leave him with questions.

Cora: We were just on the phone and I wasn't sure what I could talk about.

Stiles: Technically you aren't under a contract laying out clearances or confidentiality. You technically can say whatever you want and I can't stop you. Now if you put the government in danger, people may come to politely ask you to stop at first.

Cora: Yeah, but considering the situation? I didn't want anyone to get hurt.

Stiles: Which I do appreciate.

Cora: [she nods] So when he comes back, we'll talk.

Stiles: I'll just make sure I bring a kit to fix my nose after he breaks my nose. [smirks]

Cora: [she laughs] Guess it's good to be prepared.

Stiles: But hey, the one good thing to come out of all of this - if there ever is an apocalypse, I'm actually trained on how to survive it. So you and Ben don't have to worry about zombies.

Cora: Good to know. I'm sure that will be a great comfort.

Stiles: You'll thank me when the zombies come, trust me. [laughs]

Cora: Sure, until you get eaten, and we're left to manage on our own.

Stiles: I won't get eaten. Trust me. We will have clothing made of Kelvar.

Cora: People always get eaten. Trust me, Laura has made me watch enough zombie movies to know that much.

Stiles: And yet Rick Grimes still lives in the Walking Dead.

Cora: Yeah, but his wife is dead. So if we're going to use the Grimes family as a basis, either you or me is gonna go.

Stiles: Yeah, but his wife wasn't a werewolf.

Cora: Which again, ups the odds of you getting eaten.

Stiles: But Rick doesn't have my skill set. [or his sniper rifle]

Cora: Mmmm-hmmm.

Stiles: You don't survive 18 months on the farm without learning survival skills.

Cora: See, that's where I don't think your skillset is as useful as you think. Because they taught you to fight against humans. Humans have weaknesses and psychological processes that come into play. They have self-preservation. A zombie just wants to eat. That's it.

Stiles: They also taught me to shoot a gun. That's distance that keeps the zombie and their infected blood far from me.

Cora: Who travel in swarms and you can only shoot so many of them at one time, depending on the gun and ammo you have. Plus, you can only really cover one direction at a time.

Stiles: Yes, but that also dictates that you haven't already surveilled your surroundings and chosen a location that allows you to have protection from three sides while still providing an escape route through each side so that if they discover your location, they only have one option to attack and you have it fortified with a system that will alert you to their approach long before they are in biting distance.

Cora: And if we're not lucky enough to find this magical place?

Stiles: Oh, we're not stopping until we find tat kind of place. I can actually give Laura some helpful suggestions for making her land have some of those defenses.

Cora: ... Oh God, don't get her started on that tangent.

Stiles: [laughs] At least it will give me something neutral to talk to her about.

Cora: She owns so many zombie movies, it is a conversation that will never end.

Stiles: Well, I will save it for holidays when I have to be there for long periods of time.

Cora: Sounds good.

Stiles: [and he will sip his coffee a bit] So, am I allowed to ask how things are going between you and Mr. Donut?

Cora: [she gives a small shrug, because it's a little weird, talking about this with her ex - and her only ex for that matter - but she can make conversation] They're going. We're taking it slow.

Stiles: Good. Slow is good.

Cora: Yeah. Especially since it's pretty much just ... you in the "people I've been with" column, and I kind of have to remember how to do this again.

Stiles: You'll figure it out. And then he'll realize just how lucky he is.

Cora: [she glances down at her hands] I think you overestimate me.

Stiles: Being the only one with the personal experience? I'm not. I know what he's getting, and he's lucky.

Cora: [her lips press together for a moment, before she glances away, tucking her hair behind her ear] What about you? Anyone special?

Stiles: [shakes his head] No. Not since you. I mean, I've had flings and stuff because I'm a guy and it helps relieve stress more than anything, but nothing serious. Couldn't, really after a while anyway with the job.

Cora: Right. I can see where that would be an issue.

Stiles: Plus, it's easier not having that attachment. I don't really have good coping mechanisms when facing loss.

Cora: No one has good coping mechanisms for loss.

Stiles: [tilts his head] I became an assassin, Cora. Pretty sure that ranks up high on the scale of bad reactions.

Cora: Yeah, and Malia turned into a coyote, and Laura dragged her family to the opposite coast of the country. Peter spends most of his time doing God knows what, but he's angry all the time. No one handles loss well. If the option to be an assassin wasn't in front of you, maybe things would have been different, but you had anger and you needed somewhere to put it. That's something anyone could understand.

Stiles: Yeah, that's true. [he rubs at his neck] But just the idea of trying to go into a relationship makes me feel like I'm on the verge of panicking.

Cora: [she nods] You can't just focus on the what ifs, Stiles. Sure, they may never happen if you don't actually go there, but do you really want to be alone forever?

Stiles: [and he will look at his cup, thinking about it a moment] Up until a few days ago, I didn't see my life lasting more than another decade at most. Now I have to figure that out as well, with everything else. But I've never felt lonely. [he looks back up at her, serious] I have my friends. My dad. I have Ben now. Not having a relationship didn't mean anything to me like that. It's not like I have to have someone or I'm alone. I've been alone.

Cora: [she nods because she gets that] I thought the same thing for a while. But ... it doesn't always last. Sometimes you just want ... a partner. Something that's yours and you don't have to share.

Stiles: [he licked his lips, and looked up at her with a small smile] Kinda hard to want something else when the one you lost was pretty much everything you wanted.

Cora: [she looks at him for a moment, before getting up and shaking her head] Don't do that.

Stiles: Do what?

Cora: Don't ... you said you didn't want that.

Stiles: [deep breath] I said I didn't want it because I knew I couldn't have it because of my job. It was something I did to protect you. And something to protect myself because I'm always going to be afraid your sister is going to change her mind and rip you away from me again.

Cora: Okay, I can't comment on the job part but with regards to my sister, she isn't the only one who has a say in that. I do too. But fine. I get it. But that doesn't mean you can guilt me about you not being able to move on when that was your choice. I didn't take that away from you, you did. So now I'm trying to move on. Like I should do. Like you asked me to. And I can't do that if you're going to do this.

Stiles: [and he will look down] Sorry. [licks his lips] Maybe I should go then.

Cora: No. You don't have to go. Just ... you need to decide what you want. And if what you want is this, then you need to tell me.

Stiles: The problem is Cora - I don't know. I never stopped loving you. But I don't know who I am now and if we try and it doesn't work it's going to hurt Ben and I don't want to hurt him or you. [an he's going to just ramble]

Cora: [holds up her hands and just rests them on his arms gently] Then you need to figure that out. All of that. And until then ... let's ... try and avoid conversations about how special I am or how I was everything you wanted until you actually know for sure.

Stiles: [nods] Alright.

Cora: Okay. [she takes a deep breath and steps back] Okay.

Stiles: But I should still probably go. Especially since I've broken the mood and all.

Cora: [she swallows and nods] Yeah. Probably a good idea.

Stiles: So I'll see you Thursday?

Cora: [she nods with a small smile] Yeah. See you Thursday.

Stiles: [and he will head home, going to crash because it's Sunday and it's his day with his dad while he's on call]

Cora: [and she will clean up the coffee and head to bed, now more conflicted and confused than before]

Stiles: [yeah, he's totally in the same boat]

Cora: [this is going to make things complicated with the guy she's seeing]

Stiles: [he doesn't mean to. he's just trying to be honest. But he's also wanting to be honest.]

Cora: [she doesn't mind him being honest, but she doesn't want to be left hanging when he says these things. It makes her feel like she's being messed with and she can't handle that]

Stiles: [he's just afraid to go after what he wants, even now that he's free to pursue them]

Cora: [well, he needs to either man up or stop]

Stiles: [Cora, this is Stiles. He runs circles and doesn't say what he wants]

Cora: [yes, well, this is a Cora that isn't going to hold his hand through it. so put up or shut up, Stilinski. Or she's just going to get closer to Doughnut Guy.]

Ben: [well he's not going to like donut guy, because while Stiles and Hayley aren't paying attention to them the next playdate] So I need to get my mom and dad back together.

Hope: [she squints] Why?

Ben: Because my dad is alone and the donut man looks weird and keeps trying to give me donuts with sprinkles and I don't like sprinkles and I've told him I don't.

Hope: But not everyone's mom and dad are together. My mom and dad aren’t.

Ben: I know. But I also didn't have a dad for a long time. If they are together, I won't lose him.

Hope: [unsure face] That's not a good reason to be together. My mom says you shouldn't be with someone if you don't love them.

Ben: My mom still loves him. She always told me that. And dad has told me that he loves her too. They just don't know that they love each other.

Hope: How do you know?

Ben: Because if they knew that they loved each other, they would be together, wouldn't they?

Hope: My mom also says that loving someone doesn't mean that you're good for each other. Whatever that means.

Ben: That doesn't make any sense.

Hope: She says I'll understand when I'm older.

Ben: [scoffs] That's stupid. You don't tell someone something and then say we're too young to know what it means.

Hope: [pauses, continuing to color for a moment] She tried to explain it, I just didn't get it. Like ... my dad loves me. But he wasn't a nice guy and hurt a lot of people. So he has to be far away so that his enemies don't hurt me like they hurt my Aunt Cami.

Ben: Oh. [changes markers] So does that mean you're never going to see your dad again?

Hope: I don't think so. My mom's trying to get him back, but she has to wake up my Uncle Elijah and Kol and Aunt Rebekah first.

Ben: My dad's helping her with that isn't he?

Hope: [she nods] Yeah. Aunt Freya is working on Aunt Rebekah now.

Ben: So what about your mom? Who does she love?

Hope: She's in love with my Uncle Elijah.

Ben: Isn't that your dad's brother?

Hope: Yeah.

Ben: Isn't that weird though?

Hope: [she shrugs] Grandma Mary says sometimes weird works.

Ben: [shrugs] I guess.

Hope: My mom says she never loved my dad like she loves Uncle Elijah and that I was the best drunken mistake she ever made.

Ben: Yeah, but if your mom marries your uncle then your uncle is your dad too and I heard people who have uncles for dads grow up looking funny.

Hope: I don't think it'll work that way. Uncle Elijah is always going to be Uncle Elijah. And I don't know if they're gonna get married.

Ben: [focusing on his picture] I hope it doesn't because I like how you look now. You're pretty.

Hope: [and that makes her smile] Thanks.

Ben: You're welcome. [smiles back]

Hope: But yeah. You should find out if your mom and dad actually want to be together first. You have to be sure. Otherwise they won't make each other happy.

Ben: Okay. I'll find that out first then. [and he finishes his picture] Do you want to get married?

Hope: [her forehead furrows] I'm seven.

Ben: Well I'm almost seven. You could marry me.

Hope: Grandma Mary says I'm not allowed to get married until I'm twenty one and if he's undead I have to wait until I'm half as old as he or she is.

Ben: Well, I'm not undead but I may be a werewolf. Do you have to wait then?

Hope: I don't know. I might be a werewolf too.

Ben: We could be werewolves together!

Hope: [and then she makes a sad face] Mom says my kind of werewolf isn't like your kind of werewolf. If I become a werewolf, I have to do a bad thing.

Ben: Oh. Okay, then you be the witch and I'll be the werewolf for both of us.

Hope: Okay! [that's better]

Ben: And if you can't get married until you're twenty one, then maybe you could be my girlfriend until then?

Hope: [she bites her lip for a moment] Maybe. My dad might not like that. My mom said he's going to be unbearable when I start dating.

Ben: But I just want you to be my girlfriend. We don't have to date. I mean beyond our playdates.

Hope: Don't they go together?

Ben: I don't know. I haven't had a girlfriend before.

Hope: Me either. Do you think we should ask someone?

Ben: [looks over at the parents] We could?

Hope: [glances with him] Do you think they would tell us the truth?

Ben: Probably not. Maybe your aunt?

Hope: Okay. [and she will push up and hold her hand out to Ben] I think she's in her room.

Ben: [and he will take it and get up with her] Okay, let's go.

Hope: [and she will lead the way before knocking on her aunt's door gently] Aunt Freya?

Freya: Come in. [and Hope will reach up to open the door]

Ben: Hi Miss Freya!

Freya: Hello, Ben. [she's perched on the floor, drawing out some sigils that she may need later, but she looks up with a smile] What can I do for you?

Ben: You won't lie to us like our parents do, right?

Freya: [she laughs] I don't think your parents lie to you that much.

Ben: Well, I was asking Hope if she'd be my girlfriend but she thinks that means we have to go on dates [wrinkles his nose] but we don't need to go on dates to be boyfriend and girlfriend, right? We hang out all the time already.

Freya: Mmm. Technically being boyfriend and girlfriend is dating. It's a shorter way to say it. Being boyfriend and girlfriend also involves kissing, last I checked.

Ben: [looks at Hope because kissing?!]

Hope: [yep, she's not sure about that either] Are you sure?

Freya: Very sure. If you're boyfriend and girlfriend, you must go on dates, and kissing is a rather large requirement.

Hope: Maybe we should just be friends. Kissing is weird.

Ben: Yeah. But we can do that before we get married when you turn 21.

Hope: Okay.

Freya: [just ... so endlessly amused] Is there anything else?

Ben: [is about to say no buuuuuuut] What are you doing?

Freya: I'm working on trying to cure my sister, Rebekah.

Ben: How is she sick?

Hope: She's not sick. She's hexed.

Freya: Someone cast a spell on her that makes her very dangerous to people around her. So we can't wake her up until I figure out how to break it.

Ben: Can the person who put the spell on her take it off? Maybe if you asked them nicely?

Freya: I would if I could, but the person who created it is long dead. Which means I have to do it the hard way.

Ben: That sucks.

Freya: Yes, it does. But I'm getting close, so hopefully I will be able to return her to us soon.

Ben: [looks at one of the symbols because he knows that one, but he can't remember where he's seen it]

Freya: [watches him curiously for a moment] What is it, Ben?

Ben: I've seen that one before. [and he points to a spiral tree looking one]

Freya: Ah, that is a triskelion. Its often used as a symbol for the cycle of life - how people can rise and fall to different places of power, or the phases of life - birth, adulthood and death.

Ben: I think my uncle Derek likes that one.

Freya: Oh really?

Ben: Yeah. I'd have to ask my mom but I think he likes that one a lot.

Freya: Well, it's an important one. It exists to show that simply because you have power and are sitting at the top of the spiral... [she uses her finger to indicate that before tracing back through the spiral again] ...doesn't mean that you will always be powerful forever. Even the most powerful among us can fall and the weakest can rise in their place. Therefore all should be treated with respect and care, for you never know when you may be in need of help from someone else.

Ben: [nods] Yeah, that sounds like my uncle Derek. He's studying to be an advocado.

Hope: [wrinkles her nose] He's studying to be a fruit?

Ben: No. He goes and helps people who can't help themselves because people think they are not real people.

Freya: Ah, I think you mean an "advocate"?

Ben: Yeah, that's what I said

Freya: You said "advocado" which sounds more like "avocado" which as Hope says is a fruit.

Ben: Oh.

Freya: I know. English is weird. I didn't like it when I was learning it either.

Ben: [wrinkles his nose] Spanish is easier.

Freya: You think so?

Ben: Uh huh. Uncle Derek taught it to me when I was little.

Freya: Well, I'm sure you'll be able to figure English out too.

Ben: Well, we should probably go back before our mom and dad think we disappeared. Dad freaks out about things like that.

Freya: Alright. Well, thank you for the visit.

Ben: [and he will go to take Hope's hand and they will go back to play?]

Hope: [yep, and Freya will probably wander out to check on the adults eventually]

Stiles: [and he's just talking about a work case with Hayley when she appears] Oh hey Freya.

Freya: Stiles. Hayley. [goes for a bottle of water] So I just had an interesting conversation with your children.

Stiles: Oh? [takes a sip of his own]

Freya: Mmmm. They wanted me to further define "dating" for them and whether that was required to be boyfriend and girlfriend, and while they were dissuaded by the fact that there would be kissing involved, they still intend to get married when Hope is twenty one.

Stiles: [and he is going to just choke on his water]

Hayley: [pats his back] There you go. Just breathe.

Stiles: He is not old enough to be thinking about marriage.

Hayley: What, you never decided you were "getting married" when you were seven?

Stiles: No! I was too busy wanting to be a Jedi.

Hayley: [she laughs] Well, I did, and they're not actually serious. Don't worry.

Stiles: I hope not, otherwise you're stuck with me as an in-law. [laughs]

Hayley: Better you than Donovan.

Freya: Aw, I like Matt. Though I do know that my brothers do not.

Stiles: Well, after Paris I'm starting to actually find even ground with Matt.

Hayley: Yeah, but I don't think that's ever going to happen with the Mikaelsons. He's Team Lockwood, all the way.

Stiles: Did someone in your family try to eat him?

Hayley: [she shakes her head] Klaus killed a woman named Carol Lockwood. She was the mother of Matt's best friend. And part of it was my fault which is why he hates me, and to be fair, it's mostly deserved. I did set into motion the things that got Carol killed, even if it wasn't my intention. But then Tyler turned around, kidnapped me while I was pregnant and threatened my unborn daughter, so I think as far as me and Tyler are concerned, we're even, and he made it out alive without Klaus killing him.

Stiles: But I take it if he shows his face in town...

Hayley: [shakes her head] He has friends here, I'm not going to keep him from them. I'm not a total bitch who's going to exile him from people he loves.

Freya: From what I hear, that was Klaus' approach, and it didn't go over well.

Hayley: But if he comes near my daughter, I will make this messy, and Matt knows that.

Stiles: No, I get that.

Hayley: It doesn't help that Tyler's not wrong about what my daughter can do. I would be dead if her blood hadn't turned me into a hybrid. But I'm not going to let her be used as a pawn or a bartering trip. Not by the werewolves and not by her father.

Stiles: [looks over where she and Ben are playing] Well, more than likely she's going to have a werewolf as her best friend, so you won't be alone.

Hayley: [nods with a small smile] At least there's that. Now we just need to teach her how to handle her magic, get the rest of her family back and hope Marcel Gerard doesn't kill us all.

Freya: Well, he hasn't killed Klaus yet. That's something, at least.

Stiles: Unless he's using him for something.

Freya: Well, he likely knows about the spell I cast by now. So we either rely on the fact that he may still care deeply for my sister Rebekah and knows that her life is tied to Klaus', or he's after something else entirely.

Stiles: We're going to end up in New Orleans, aren't we [looking at Hayley]

Hayley: I think if we're going to get Klaus, that's going to be unavoidable. But we don't have to stay there for good.

Stiles: [licks his lips] I need to be up front with Cora about what I'm doing when we go there. She's already not letting me have Ben without a supernatural person around me just in case someone from that last job comes around. I don't know how she'll react if I go to help.

Hayley: That's fair. I get that. And to be completely honest, you don't have to go.

Freya: She's right. The Mikaelsons started this, and the Mikaelsons will finish it. There doesn't have to be collateral damage.

Stiles: I just don't want you going off and doing this alone either.

Hayley: I won't be alone. I'll have them. This isn't your fight, and your son is a Hale. Werewolves had to steer clear of Marcel before he became ridiculously unkillable, I don't think they should be anywhere near him now.

Stiles: [nods] Well, Hope can stay with me if you want.

Hayley: I'll keep that in mind, if you don't mind Grandma Mary dropping in every so often.

Stiles: I don't mind.

Hayley: Good. Three terrifying people are better than one.

Stiles: And I can see if Ben can come over for the weekend and maybe Cora and Lydia can have a slumber party or something and that's a lot of people watching over her.

Hayley: Sounds good to me.

Stiles: Just remember to schedule me off work.

Hayley: Will do.

Stiles: [to Freya] So how's the spell going?

Freya: It's going. Peter's research has been helpful, but I think I'm going to need some quality time with Rebekah in order to really have any effect. But Peter and I are managing. You should focus on tracking down the seven werewolf lines. I can't make the antivenom without it.

Stiles: Well, who do we have so far [looks at Hayley]

Hayley: [holds up her hand] I'm the Crescent line. I have friends in some of the others, but the hard one to convince is going to be Tyler. And he is the last of his line.

Stiles: Matt probably won't be much help on that, will he?

Hayley: Allison tried talking to him to try and talk to Tyler, but that's his best friend. He's not exactly going to try hard. [runs her hand through her hair] Honestly, Elena might help, but persuading her to try and help the Originals after everything they did to her probably isn't going to be high on her priority list either.

Stiles: Maybe talking to them isn't what you need. Maybe he needs a deal. Something that can benefit him so that he doesn't have to be worried about being in town, yet with keeping with the whole hurting Hope bit.

Hayley: He's not going to trust any deal I give him, which is why it needs to go through Elena or Matt first.

Stiles: [thinks, then looks at Freya] Are there spells that could be given to someone that, say, could keep specific people from killing them? That may have a layer hidden in it that would keep him from being able to get within a certain distance of other individuals so that giving the spell makes it a benefit to both the giver and receiver?

Freya: [she shakes her head] That kind of magic always comes with a cost, and from what I know about Tyler's situation, it's not his own safety that he's concerned with.

Hayley: It's destroying Klaus. Last I checked, he didn't care if it killed him in the process.

Stiles: Well, then I guess you're just going to have to find him and steal the venom from him while he's unconscious.

Freya: No.

Hayley: I'm with her. Tyler's already had enough choices taken away from him, especially because of Klaus. We're not going to force him into this. Persuading, yes. Bargaining, yes. But not force.

Stiles: Well, it was a thought. I mean, if he felt he could be free from worrying about having his throat ripped out and being able to go where he wanted without fear of repercussion from your family...but if he doesn't care about his life or those who he cares about, then I guess it won't be worth it.

Hayley: The problem isn't him not wanting that, it's him actually believing us when we offer it. That's why I want to go through Matt and Elena.

Stiles: Matt's going to be the key. Unless he's closer to Elena.

Hayley: I honestly don't know anymore. But Elena has always been more willing to make deals with people like us.

Stiles: Yeah, but how much has she paid for it?

Freya: If this Elena is the Petrova doppelganger I've heard so much about, then she's paid a great deal.

Stiles: She's in a good place from what I gather from Scott. Would she risk that?

Hayley: I don't know. I won't know until we talk to her.

Stiles: Well, if I can help let me know what I can do.

Hayley: We will let you know. Once I ... talk it through with Matt.

Stiles: Good luck.

Hayley: Thanks. [deep breath] Anyway, I'm going to go see what the kids want for dinner. You eating? [to Freya]

Freya: [shakes her head] I should get back to work. But save me some?

Hayley: Will do.

Stiles: I'm going to keep working on this while you cook and you do witchy things.

Hayley: Sounds good. [annnnnnnnnnd break!]
