canon au } { post-6b, of valentine's and flower adventures

Stiles: [blinks from his paperwork] No, I don't think we are. Why?

Olivia: ... It's Valentine's Day?

Stiles: [looks up at them, then at the paper calendar Walter has] Shit, it is.

Olivia: [amused] We haven't been working you that hard, have we?

Stiles: Answering that is a double-edged sword, so I plead the fifth.

Olivia: [laughs] Well, you still have time. Is she a chocolates or flowers kind of girl?

Stiles: More like a puppies and sex girl.

Olivia: ... I don't think you can buy her another puppy this soon. Might be better to stick with flowers.

Stiles: [looks at his watch] You think anyone would still have flowers at this point.

Astrid: [Olivia shrugs but as she walks by] One of the student clubs is selling flower arrangements for charity that looked pretty nice over at the student center.

Stiles: How long ago was that?

Astrid: I stopped in for coffee this morning so not long ago. If you head over fast there may be some left.

Stiles: [looks over at Olivia] Mind if I check out for a bit, boss?

Olivia: [nods] Go right ahead.

Stiles: [and he will grab his wallet to run out and go do that]

Olivia: [and with a 2 there is not a lot of great stuff left, sorry Stiles. but some flowers are better than none at all?]

Stiles: [well, crap. He will get some, but he will also look for places selling them on the way home]

Olivia: [that one he got a 4. so slightly better? Maybe you should opt for something plush and some chocolates from Walgreens, if you're ready to brave the check out line with every other person who forgot to buy their significant other something for Valentine's Day]

Stiles: [Walgreens had flowers today. Maybe they still will with the chocolate and plush puppy?]

Olivia: [that he got a 15! So yes they do, you lucky duck]

Stiles: [fuck yeah. Campus flowers will go to a homeless lady on the street with a smile and a $5 bill and a box of candy hearts, and he will head home]

Cora: [and the apartment smells good, as Cora has made them a nice dinner and she is dressed and looking fancy because she remembers how their last Valentine's Day went and she wants this one to be better]

Stiles: [and he will come home from work on time, grinning because damn that smells good] Cora, I'm home.

Cora: [the dog will get there first, but she'll round the corner from the kitchen soon after him, in a nice new outfit as she goes to meet him] Hey. Happy Valentine's Day.

Stiles: [yeah, he's just in a work suit, and he will take a nice look at her because hot damn.] Happy Valentine's Day. [and he will hold out the flowers, the heart shaped candy box, and the little puppy plushie that is sitting on top of the box]

Cora: [her smile brightens as she reaches out to take the stuff from him] Thank you. You have some time if you want to clean up a little before dinner.

Stiles: I'm pretty sure there's no way I can clean up and look half as nice as you are.

Cora: [her head ducks a bit] I know we said we weren't going out, but I thought it'd be nice. [and she'd ... probably never wear this in public anyway. this is just for him]

Stiles: Oh, it's nice. it's very nice.

Cora: I'm glad you think so.

Stiles: Yeah. [he will try and look up from that cleavage]

Cora: [shakes her head] You have to make it through dinner first.

Stiles: Please tell me you're dinner.

Cora: Nope. [heads back into the kitchen] But if you're good I'll be dessert.

Stiles: I'm always good.

Cora: Uh-huh. [tips her head towards the kitchen] Come on, let's eat.

Stiles: Yes ma'am. [and he will admire her ass in that dress now]
