Parrish: [and he will be standing guard outside the room that the president is in. He has the morning shift, and it should be over soon. He may get a chance to explore NYC for a few hours if he is lucky and nothing happens. He hopes so, but he also knows his job comes first]

Laura: [and in she will come with her own detail close behind her, and she smiles slightly when she sees him] Agent Parrish.

Parrish: Miss Hale. [nods his head]

Laura: You're my mom's traveling agent now?

Parrish: She is here for a few days so there are shifts.

Laura: Well. Welcome to New York, then.

Parrish: Thank you. I'm hoping to see some of it later this evening.

Laura: Do you need a tour guide?

Parrish: Maybe some suggestions. I've never been here before.

Laura: I can make you a list. But most of my favorite places are usually better if you bring a friend.

Parrish: [sees the two agents behind her smirking] Well, you have a busy evening.

Laura: [see how much she cares. she doesn't care] I didn't necessarily mean me. But if you had a friend in town you wanted to call ...

Parrish: I don't.

Laura: Then be careful. But I'll give you a list.

Parrish: Thank you.

Laura: [gestures to the door] I should probably head in there.

Parrish: [and he will reach over to get the door, opening it for her] Have a good time.

Laura: [nods and disappears inside. she'll mix and mingle for a while, but eventually a cocktail napkin will get passed back to Parrish with a list of places on it]

Parrish: [which he will get as he is heading to the rooms the SS are in, having just changed into his civies]

Laura: [have fun, Parrish. And you can always call her if you need a hand or get lost]

Parrish: [which he will end up doing, unable to find this place for dinner she suggested]

Laura: [glances down at her phone and excuses herself as she goes to answer] Hello?

Parrish: Miss Hale, it's Agent Parrish. I'm having a hard time finding this restaurant you suggested I have dinner at.

Laura: Where are you?

Parrish: Thirty second and Broadway.

Laura: Okay, turn around and go back towards thirty first.

Parrish: Okay. [and she will hear him turn and start walking again] So you having a good night so far?

Laura: It's a boring political party. It's basically shoving a bunch of megalomaniacs into a room to see what happens.

Parrish: Sounds like you're looking for a reason to escape.

Laura: Are you offering one?

Parrish: Well it seems I don't know my way around this city and I don't want to end up in some dark alley.

Laura: That would be a shame. Stay where you are, let me see if I can call an uber.

Parrish: Yes ma'am.

Laura: [and it takes a little finagling, but her mom lets her go and she gets a car and eventually arrives at the corner and opens the door for him] Your ride awaits.

Parrish: [and he's going to ignore the stare from the on-duty SS guard in the passenger seat as he slides in] Thanks.

Laura: You got pretty close. [and the uber takes off again and they only go down a couple more blocks before they get to the restaurant in question]

Parrish: [and he will look up at] I swear I must have walked right past it.

Laura: That happens a lot in New York.

Parrish: Well, since you came all this way to rescue me, could I treat you to dinner?

Laura: You don't have to. [she doesn't want him to feel obligated or to give the wrong impression]

Parrish: I know, but I want to.

Laura: If you insist.
