spamalot } { of brainwashing and letting them in
Thomas: [wanders down, opening the door and closing it behind him, locking it because that was what they were all doing, right, just in case?] Brought you down more coffee. [he hands Fiona one]
Fiona: [glances up with a smile before taking it from him without hesitation] Thanks, Thomas.
Thomas: [hands another one to Derek, this one drugged as well] So how are you two doing? Staying awake?
Fiona: So far so good. [she takes a long sip before exhaling slowly in please] Mmm. This is good.
Derek: I think we've talked more tonight that we have for the last few years combined. [smiles and drinks his coffee]
Thomas: Good. Sometimes it's good to talk. Remembering good times and just enjoying each other's company.
Fiona: [nods in agreement and just keeps sipping her coffee] It is. It's really ... [she pauses and blinks for a moment, her head starting to get a little fuzzy] ... back to basics. Or something.
Derek: [ he's already finished his cup, and his was drugged three times as much with a wolfsbane chaser to keep him from healing, and it slips from his fingers as he slumps back a bit] Dad?
Thomas: [leans down and catches the cup, patting Derek's cheek.] There's a good boy. You always drank your drinks way too fast, and that worked well for me today, huh?
Fiona: [her eyes narrow slightly, looking down at the coffee and then throwing it away from her, but it was already too late for that. Throwing it didn't amount to so much as dropping it as she slumped to the side and the drugs took over]
Thomas: [coughs, then looks at Fiona] Just as I was hoping. You know, she's taken a few bullets for you over the years, hasn't she? I wonder just how many more she can take before she dies.
Derek: [his eyes widen] Dad? What are you doing? [he can barely speak above a whisper]
Thomas: [pulling out his colt and checking the ammo] I've got ten rounds left. Think she can last that long?
Derek: The others will hear and stop you.
Thomas: You know, they really should have all checked their coffee after Tali left with your uncle. [goes to aim the gun at Fiona]
Fiona: [barely conscious, trying to struggle to stay awake, but eventually she can't and her eyes close as she drifts off]
Nogitsune: [in the corner, watching] You can save her, Derek. [nods to Thomas to pull the trigger, and a bullet hits the wall right next to Fiona's shoulder. Thomas is a marksman, and he would only miss if he wanted to]
Derek: Please... please no.
Nogitsune: [nods, and Thomas fires again, the wall right by her cheek this time, bits of the brick rebounding onto her face]
Fiona: [doesn't even stir at the shots, completely defenseless to do anything but be unconscious]
Derek: Please.
Nogitsune: I will let them both live. But you have to let me in.
Derek: Please no. [he's crying, looking at Fiona in fear]
Nogitsune: I will kill her. Bullet nine. Ten will be your father. Let me in, Derek, and I will stop it all. I will let them live.
Thomas: [fires again, and this one will graze her arm]
Derek: [he can smell the blood in the air. Blood of his mate. He squeezed his eyes shut tightly, but he knew there was no choice. He was poisoned, his healing factor not kicking in to be able to stop, and he knew that the nogitsune wasn't lying. Finally, he just gave in and he relaxed and the nogitsune grinned before disappearing from the room. A moment later, Derek opened his eyes, and then slowly stood] Dad.
Thomas: [turns to look at Derek, then backs away a bit as he approached, taking the gun away and dropping all the bullets to the ground before snapping the weapon in half. He then tossed his father into the wall to slump to the ground next to Fiona, and with a cough a fly came out of his mouth in a small pool of blood]
Fiona: [the pain wakes her up a bit, but not enough to do anything about it. It's not for a couple hours before she finally is able to wake up, her hand coming up to rub her eyes. She winces a bit as she moves the arm that was grazed, and then she glances over and sees Thomas] Thomas? [she pushes up on her knees, slowly, moving to check his pulse] Thomas, can you hear me?
Thomas: [groans and opens his eyes, coughing a bit more] Fi... Fiona?
Fiona: [she exhales with a bit of relief when he wakes up, before glancing around and finding the room empty] Derek's gone.
Thomas: I... I don't know what got into me. I just... Fiona, I'm sorry.
Fiona: [shakes her head] Don't worry about that right now. We just need to find him. [she shifts to start lifting his arm] Can you get up?
Thomas: [pushes himself up. He'll be sore for a few days] Don’t worry about me. I've taken worse. Check the others... It made me poison the whole house.
Fiona: [nods before turning and heading up the stairs to find the first person she can see]
Jason: [which will be the doctor, who isn't as effected by wolfsbane as the others and ended up taking a pistol whip to the back of his head and on the kitchen floor]
Fiona: [she drops to her knees next to him, checking his pulse before noticing the hit to the back of the head, but he's healing so she opts to shake him instead] Jason? Jason wake up.
Jason: [there is a groan, and then a growling raccoon growl as he stirs and goes to reach for the back of his head]
Fiona: [slowly helps him sit up] Easy. You took a head shot.
Jason: Thomas. He was drugging the others. I smelt it when I woke up...
Thomas: [up the steps, a handkerchief in his hand] Not to sound like I'm not taking blame, but this guy made me do it. [he opened the cloth to show a dead fly covered in his blood]
Fiona: [glances up at that, making a bit of a face] I'll go check on Scott and Isaac, you find Laura.
Thomas: She's in my room. I had to get her first if I was going to get the rest of you.
Jason: This wasn't you, Thomas. [looks at Laura] Where's Derek?
Fiona: Gone. And I don't think he's Derek. [she sighs heavily, before heading for the stairs] Just focus on getting everyone healing first, then we'll worry about where to find Derek.
Jason: [heads for the master bedroom and finds Laura passed out on the chaise, and goes to kneel in front of her] Laura. Love, wake up.
Laura: [she stirs at the sound of his voice, but her movements are slow and sluggish. Everything feels heavier than it should] Jason?
Jason: [ he runs a hand through her hair] You've been poisoned with wolfsbane, love. It will take a while for you to recover. But your brother is gone.
Laura: [her eyes widen a bit and she tries to move quickly and get up but her body protests that and she groans] Damnit.
Jason: There is nothing we can do right now. You need to call your mother.
Laura: We need to start tracking him.
Jason: I will call Chris. You need to rest until you're back to full strength. [and he's pulling out his cell phone]
Laura: [sighs a bit, because no, she's not okay with this "resting" plan] You could break my arm. I'll heal faster.
Jason: [gives Laura a look because no, he is not breaking your arm, and instead focusing on telling Argent that Derek has flown the coop and they need him there now to try and pick up the trail before he disappears]
Laura: [gives him an expectant look right back before reaching for her phone to call her mom and then ... decides against that and calls Peter instead]
Peter: [so far hasn't been all that excited about the story being spun, so he will step away to answer the phone] Laura, is everything okay?
Laura: Is Mom around?
Peter: She's still talking with Satomi.
Laura: Good. [sighs softly] The nogitsune somehow got Dad to poison the house and drug Fiona. Derek's gone.
Peter: [and there is complete silence for ten seconds before there is a growl] We'll be back immediately. Find him.
Laura: Working on it. My husband refuses to break my arm so that I heal faster.
