[After dealing with the Pishtaco and heading back to the bunker, Sam lures Bela out of her hidey hole with the promise of pancakes and stories about Dean roofie-ing himself.]

Sam: [making pancakes]

Bela: [wanders in with something Dean had called her about, raises her eyebrows] That smells good.

Sam: Thanks. After I made Dean's stack, I added fresh berries into the mix. Want some?

Bela: [pauses, before nodding] Sure.

Sam: Strawberries and banana, or mixed berries?

Bela: Strawberries

Sam: Have a seat and I'll serve them up

Bela: [nods as she moves in further, but opts to fix herself a cup of tea first before she settles] You seem to be a good mood.

Sam: Had a talk with Dean last night. I'm sure he's pissed at me still, but I think I started to get through to him.

Bela: That's good. I'm glad.

Sam: So how long you staying this time through?

Bela: [she shrugs] Not sure yet. Depends when my next job comes in.

Sam: Well, we just got back last night so we're probably here for a week while we find something new.

Bela: Good to know. I'll let you know if I hear anything.

Sam: Sounds like a plan [whipping up the pancakes for her]

Bela: [fixes her tea and moves to sit at the table as she watches him]

Sam: [is making the same type for himself]

Bela: [just idly stirs her coffee, unsure of what to say]

Sam: [he isn't really sure what to do either, but he finishes the pancakes quickly and goes to serve her, then sits across from her. He's looking a lot better since the last time they were in the same room]

Bela: [she can see that. Which is good, but she's hesitant to cross that line quite yet.] So. Yoga.

Sam: Yeah. The case was at a health spa. This Peruvian Pishtaco was using it as a way to help clients lose weight by sucking it out of them in small portions to survive.

Bela: [her eyebrows raise] They usually don't come this far North.

Sam: She fell in love and got married.

Bela: [a thoughtful noise as she starts to cut into her pancakes] I suppose there is someone for everyone.

Sam: I felt bad for her. She wasn't the one doing the crimes but her brother who she was trying to give a better life too.

Bela: Well, you can't help everyone. Some people need to learn to help themselves - or pay the consequences themselves.

Sam: Her brother killed her husband when we showed up. I managed to convince Dean to let her travel back to her family in Peru instead of off-ing her.

Bela: That's good, at least.

Sam: It was the right thing to do. [it was the Sam thing to do, and he felt more like himself doing it]

Bela: [nods, because she sees that. what she can't determine is whether or not she should take it as a sign]

Sam: So what have you been up to?

Bela: A job here and there. Nothing too special.

Sam: Nothing interesting to talk about?

Bela: [she shrugs] There isn't really anything to tell. Just keeping busy.

Sam: I know you've been trying to get your jobs back on solid footing, but would you want to stay with us for a while?

Bela: [She does. She really does. And he does seem better.] I can. If that's what you want.

Sam: I do. I kinda see now how wrong I was trying to push you away.

Bela: [her stance softens a bit at that] I understand why, Sam.

Sam: While we were doing the last job, I realized that I really was a jerk to you, and I'm sorry.

Bela: Thank you. [the apology means more to her than anything else]

Sam: [knows he probably still has a ways to go before Bela trusts him again, but he's trying]

Bela: [he is. And she recognizes that and shows by inching a bit more to his side of the table.] The pancakes are good.

Sam: I'm glad you like them. I figured I would try something new.

Bela: [she nods] It's good.

Sam: I may try to use some honey in them too next time.

Bela: [makes a bit of a face] That might be too sweet.

Sam: Well, without the berries.

Bela: Mmmm. [she shrugs] That might not be too bad.

Sam: We got a kitchen here, may as well use it, right?

Bela: Makes sense to me.

Sam: And if you wanted to do anything next weekend, we could either stay in and I can cook, or we could go out...

Bela: [she shrugs] So long as Dean isn't here, staying in might be nice.

Sam: I may be able to ask him nicely to stay elsewhere for the night. [meaning shelling out for Dean's hotel room]

Bela: That sounds perfect, then.

Sam: [smiles to himself] Good.

Bela: [nods before going back to her pancakes]
